The tall bengal cat sat in the camp, grooming her silky pelt until every hair was in the right place. Sinkingsaturn wasn't exactly a sociable cat, but then again, when were WinterClan cats ever sociable? Paired with a glare that could send a kit running, the she-cat actually preferred it when others chose to stay away, and if her glare wasn't enough, surely her words would be. It wasn't that she detested the others, but gods, there was always some kind of expectation that came with meeting someone new, and frankly, surviving the system that was this clan made navigating friendships a difficult thing; there was always something to look out for, and she found it exhausting at times.
However, today, it seemed as if she wasn't in a horrible mood, as rare as it sounded. Having eaten a decent meal and gone on a patrol in the morning, the rest of the day was whatever she wanted it to be, and she took that in stride. She almost didn't notice the way another cat almost bumped into her, though her ear twitched in annoyance at the intrusion of someone else in her space.
Icetail was jumping along caring a mouse to find a place to go sit and eat when he accidentally bumped into another cat. "heh sorry abo-" the big tom stopped mid sentence when he saw who he bumped into. he might have been bigger than the she-cat but he was in-fact slightly scared of her. he was having a good day today and he didn't really want to get yelled at for bumping into the she-cat. he tried to apologize as fast as he could but she cut him off.

If she had been any other cat, she might've been intimidated by the larger tom and his looming stature, but Sinkingsaturn had never feared anyone, not even the gods, and it seemed like the tom was more scared of her. She wouldn't say she was exactly fond of toms in general, but for a moment, a flash of amusement seemed to cross her gaze.
"Watch where you're going next time," she replied quickly, though it was missing the sharp edge that usually laced her voice. Perhaps she really was in a good mood, because her words would've often accompanied a swipe of her paws against the other cat's ear. Alas, Icetail was lucky today, though her sharp gaze had yet to leave him.
"What's your name?" she asked. She had never met this cat, but then again, that itself wasn't new. She had never been a friendly one.
he hesitantly sat down next to she-cat not sensing any hostility in her voice. "my names Icetail...what about you?" he said raping his big tail around his feet as he started to eat his mouse. he was a bit shocked the she-cat didn't tear him up but he took this opportunity to try and get on her good side.

As much as she wasn't outwardly hostile, she raised a brow when the other cat took a seat next to her. She had earned a reputation amongst the others it seemed, for her quick tongue and her irritable personality, and having the heritage to match meant many decided to stay their distance, though that had never mattered all too much to her. Still, she was raised in a clan that didn't necessarily see things that way either. Intriguing, she thought, as she continued her lounging, her eyes meeting the mouse for a brief moment before realizing she had yet to eat today.
"Sinkingsaturn," she replied with a twitch of her ear, "pleasure. I haven't seen your face around here before." It was a statement, but she said it like a question as if prompting him to explain.
"im always in and out of the camp for long periods of time doing stuff" he said laughing slightly. he looked down at his half eaten mouse relizing that he dosen't even want it anymore. "do you want the rest of this, im not hungry anymore and i don't want it to go to wast?" he said pushing it away from him.

She also didn't quite expect him to share his food. Huh. Her eyes turned to the fresh-kill pile immediately, only to find that there wasn't much leftover. Sure, she often got the first pick, but it never felt right to her. Her mother wouldn't have wanted this for the clan; she had worked so hard to strive for something as close to equality, and here it was. Things were just...different.
"Only if we go on a hunt afterwards, the fresh-kill pile's a bit empty" she frowned, a sigh leaving her mouth. Regardless, she took the mouse from the tom, finishing the rest of the meal without a second thought. It was strange, to be eating second, but she found that she didn't mind it. Her eyes looked up to him as she ate, feeling somewhat defensive being watched. "What, never seen a cat eat before?"
Huh?! oh yea sorry. he looked away from her as she ate,his mind drifting away as he sat there waiting for the other cat to finish eating. "i have never gone hunting with anyone before...i hope its fun" he thought to him self. he started un-knowingly flexing his claws into the ground,he finally popped back into the real world when he felt a tap on his shoulder.

She felt a sort of satisfaction as he turned away. At least he had the decency to do so, she thought, as she finally finished, scraping the dirt over the bones, licking her chops to get the rest of the food off her muzzle. "Let's go," she spoke, not leaving much room for interpretation nor for argument. Exiting the brambles that covered the walls of the camp, she only glanced once to make sure he was following, before heading down the slopes.
"Where's your favourite hunting spot?" she asked, "you mentioned you like staying out of camp, no?"
The tom followed The other cat out of camp walking right up to her as they got a bit further from camp. "I like hunting in the forest by the waterfalls,it is very pretty and there's usually a lot of prey there" he said as he pointed to the thicker part of the woods with his tail. "yknow i have never been hunting with anyone else before,im usually alone when i hunt"

She nodded absentmindedly; the waterfalls were nice, but it was always a little too slippery for her tastes, and well, it wasn't exactly the safest either, but perhaps a larger tom than her would have a better grip on the earth under his paws. "I suppose it is," she replied without much thought, as she continued in the direction of his gesture. Sinkingsaturn hadn't hunted with others much either. "I suppose that's a new thing for the two of us," she replied, "it used to be that we weren't allowed out in the cold without a hunting partner, you know."
They walked silently the rest of the time till they got closer to the water fall. as soon as they could see it the big tom ran right up the the edge looking over the huge waterfall the wind blowing in his fur. "see isnt it pretty" he said looking back at the she-cat

She had to agree with the tom. The water rushing through the stones, the loudness of the white noise, the way that the air sparkled with the mist from the churning waters...it was quite nice. "I'll admit it, it's pretty," she replied, blinking at the falls, though choosing to take a step back lest the ledge was too slippery.
"Don't you find it...worrisome?" she asked, "to hunt here? I'd be terrified of falling off the edge."
"hmm i never thought about it like that...although its not as bad if you know what your doing" he said stepping away from the edge and walking closer to the she-cat. "watch" he opened him mouth slightly looking for some kind of prey. after a couple seconds he smelt something he couldn't tell what it was but it was in that bush by the edge. he crouch down digging his claws into the ground with every step so he didn't slip. once he got at least a fox-tail length away he jumped into the bush grabbing whatever was inside killing it quickly. he walked out holding a dead mouse from his jaws. he smiled and droped the mouse in front of the other cat "see its easy"

She rolled her eyes. "I didn't say I had trouble hunting," she pointed out with a snort, glancing to the waterfall, "just said that there was more risk of danger than other places. Like the forest."
With a shake of her head, she headed a little further away from the edge of the rocks, her own muzzle lifted to search for any scents she could find, her lips curling for a moment as she detected a scent nearby, immediately dropping to a crouch, moving towards the forests, tail wavering above the ground as she eyed a nearby rabbit. The creature was young, still unaware of the hunters nearby, as her pawsteps quickly closed the gap, light on her toes, before she darted forward.
The rabbit quickly dashed, and she wasn't far behind, just a step behind the creature. With a swerve, she directed the creature towards Icetail's waiting grasp.
he quickly jumped on and killed the rabbit smiling as he picked it up and drops it with the mouse. he pricked his ears hearing something in a bush near by. he got into a hunters crouch and started inching towards the bush. he couldn't tell what the sent was but he didn't really care at this point. he jumped in the bush but not even a second later he yowled loudly feeling a sharp pain in his face..

"Good catch," Sinkingsaturn immediately spoke as their teamwork finally caught the prey she was after. She was scenting the air, trying to figure out what their next move should be when suddenly, she heard a sharp yelp. Immediately turning to the other cat, her eyes were wide. "Icetail, are you okay?"
he came tumbling out of the bush with a snake hanging from right above his eye. the snake wasn't poisonous but it did hurt like hell. the blood redined his white fur as i dripped down his face hitting the cold snow on the ground. the amount of sudden pain made him dizzy witch made it hard to stand. he tumbled over falling right in front of the other cat.

A snake? Sinkingsaturn hissed in surprise; snakes were rare in WinterClan, but with the thawing cold and the warmer weather, she wasn't exactly baffled by it either. "Icetail?" she called out, immediately moving to his side, glancing to the disappearing creature, slithering away. "Where did it bite you?" Her voice sounded urgent, "we need to get you to the medicine cat, I don't know if it's poisonous or not but that's a nasty bite."
he stumbled to his feet still bleeding. he would admit he couldn't see it but he could feel the gash right above his eye. "at least it didn't get my eye" he thought to himself. he started walking back toward camp still bleeding. it felt like it took for ever but they finally got back to camp. because he was quite bigger than the she cat he did walk faster so he waited at the entrance for the other cat to catch up.
