Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

(Blacksea joining thread, I guess. They go by any pronouns ya want, so go wild. xD)
The feline sat themself at the border, waiting for a patrol to come along. He'd heard of the clans, but didn't particularly know much about any of them, it was mostly just chance that she'd picked NightClan of all places. So here they sat, waiting. Someone they could talk to would show up eventually, correct? Well, that's what they presumed, at least. Mismatched eyes scanned the territory, his head tilted slightly. It seemed well enough, as far as places went. Nothing in particular they could discern in the negative, at least. But they were lucky, because Sen made the thread and wasn't gonna just rp Pinesimmer annoying the newcomer alone.
Their name was Littlepaw for a reason. Although they had once gone by the name Lilly, Littlepaw's tiny demeanor made their name quite fitting. They hadn't been the... most impressed with their aunt when she named them, but Littlepaw wasn't going to object. Instead, they had nodded at their ... aunt-mom? They were lost in this train of thought when they stumbled almost right into the newcomer. They let out a mrrow of surprise, before tilting their head. "You're not from here," they meowed suspiciously, although they couldn't hide the slight comraderie that they felt towards others who hadn't originated in NightClan. Littlepaw themself was only half-NightClan, and probably would never have even known that if Aspenstar and Phantomfox hadn't basically kidnapped the litter that was fathered by Oakleaf. "... so, why are you on the border?" they then asked, as if to finish their thought.
They tilted their head, peering at the newcomer curiously. "That would be correct, but I'd like to be. This is a clan, correct? I'm looking to join, and not exactly certain of your protocols. I figured it would be best to not risk offence, don't you agree?" She smiled slightly, head tilted as he peered at this young cat. They seemed well taken care of enough, which only make the black feline more confident in their decision to join.
Littlepaw's eyes narrowed slightly, their head tilted to the side. "This is a clan," they agreed, although they couldn't understand why a cat would necessarily want to join a clan. Of course, Littlepaw wasn't as adamently against their new life as their sister Roaringpaw was. But, there was a part of them that still hadn't acclimated to life outside of a house, if for no other reason than it was hotter than hell without two-leg air conditioning.
"NightClan in particular." They tipped their diluted calico head to the side. "You want to ... join?" they then asked, their eyes narrowing. "I'm... not sure that we have protocols. Sometimes these cats just wake up, travel half a day, show up to your house, and tell you you're moving. Not sure if kidnapping is the official protocol for joining, but it isn't off the table." They let out a joyless laugh, before sighing. "I could probably bring you to Aspenstar if you want?"

"Well, if that's the protocol, they forgot about me it seems." They shrugged. If there was something little he did actually know about the clans, it was that the addition of 'star' meant that the cat was the leader. He didn't know what to expect, but they supposed it would probably be fine. "Aspenstar it is. Since you're taking me to them, what's your name, if I may ask?"
The apprentice actually did chuckle at that. "Consider yourself lucky, I guess," they meowed with a shrug, their whiskers twitching slightly. "My name's Lilly!" they meowed confidently, before letting out an awkward cough. "I mean... Littlepaw I guess is my name now. Kind of a dumb one, but I guess it is what it is," they meowed. "What about you? Do you have a kind of dumb name, or is it just me?" they asked as they turned towards camp, offering a flick of their tail to signal the other to follow.

"Black Sea, most call me Sea." They answered, stepping over the border to follow Littlepaw into NightClan's territory. "Would you prefer I call you Lilly or Littlepaw, it doesn't seem like you are fond of the latter."
"Sea," they grunted in agreement with a brisk nod as they walked. Their ears perked, though, when Sea offered to call them by their name. No one here had done that, asked if they had a preference. They'd just been told their new name was Littlepaw and they'd just have to deal with it. Their demeanor softened a bit more. They were starting to like this cat already, which was pretty unusual given the fact they had little to no attachment to most, if not all, others in the group. Still, it was a nice gesture, and it made them smile softly. "Well," they meowed with a tip of their head as they walked. "Maybe call me Lilly when its just us, and then call me that stupid stuffy name when we're around others? Aunt Aspen says we can't go around being called by our real names because it 'destorys the image' of NightClan or something like that. I don't really know, I stopped listening. BUt that seemed to be the gist, 'I'm going to make you exactly what I want you to be.'" Lilly's eyes widened. "Well, not that I'm bitter or anything. You know how it is, right?"
Sea laughed lightly, a smile crossing their features. "Cats are like that, aren't they? Always trying to make you into something, never simply accepting you as you are." Certainly, he did know that well enough. There never ceased to be someone who tried to insist you be someone, something else, for their convenience or comfort.
The young cat was just about to respond when it seemed their journey was cut short by the appearance of the fawn-colored leader. Aspenstar tilted her head at the situation, gaze going from her niece to the other cat and back to her niece. There was a story here, somewhere.
"Who's... your friend here?" the leader asked, although it was clear she wasn't actually talking to Littlepaw. That happened a lot, Littlepaw being used as a prop in grown up conversations. Not that they were bitter or anything. "And what... are they doing on my territory?"
Lily offered an apologetic glance to Sea. They were just starting to get to the good part of the conversation! "Well, uh, this is Sea, and uh.... Sea wants to join us, I think?" they muttered, which ilicited a raised brow from the NightClan leader.

Sea nodded simply, not seeming altogether bothered by Aspenstar's presence. Though they did frown slightly at the fact Littlepaw was being overlooked, and glanced at the young cat briefly. "Lil- Littlepaw would be right. I'm looking to join." He didn't elaborate, letting the request hang in the air between them as she waited for a response from the NightClan leader.
Littlepaw saw the glance, and offered Sea a blink. This wasn't atypical behavior, which was one of the reasons that Lily wasn't the fondest of their time in the group. "Yeah, see, what Sea said," they then offered, their eyes not meeting their aunt's.
Aspenstar's working eye trained on Sea with slight interest, her tail tip twitching. "Is that so?" she meowed, her head tilting to the side slightly. "And what leads you to the conclusion that NightClan should be your new home?"

He shrugged. "Convenience? Fate? Coincidence that I happened upon this border first and chose to sit down rather than search for another place?" Black Sea shrugged her tone blunt, not looking to be particularly caring about the situation at hand. "I heard of the clans, figured I'd fare better in a group, is that not enough of a reason?"
Aspenstar blinked twice, mulling the cat's response over in her head, before letting out a sigh. "That was perhaps some of the most unconvincing rationale you possibly could have given me," she meowed with a flick of her tail. "However, I will grant you three days to prove that you really do want to be a NightClan warrior. At the cessation of the three days, my Guard and I will discuss your permanent residency here. Littlepaw, continue... showing this cat around."
"That's what I was trying to do," the younger cat grumbled, but by the time she did, it was already too late, and Aspenstar had slipped back through the brush. "She's a charmer, isn't she?" they meowed indignantly, their ears slightly flatter than they had been in the moments prior. "Where were we?"
"I'm not sure what she expected." Sea commented with a shrug as Aspenstar disappeared. "I don't particularly care if I get kicked out, I'll simply ask another clan that's more willing to listen. But that's a problem for in three days." He turned to the apprentice. "Chatting about cats trying to twist others into the version they wanted of you, which I suppose this interaction with your leader demonstrates to be true."
