Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
This moon's ceremonies took...somewhat longer than usual. They were also quite a bit more awkward; mostly because most cats weren't entirely sure whether Ratstar was going to pull himself together by the end of it. It was always a proud day for a parent when their kits were finally promoted to warriors, though some were probably a bit surprised by how choked up the Summerclan leader was getting as he presented his oldest litter with their warrior names, having to pause every few seconds to wipe the tears out of his eye. For what it was worth, his kits seemed touched by their father's display of emotion, Weevilspike standing tall with a particularly extravagant flower crown adorning his head. As the ceremonies progressed, the newly-named warrior subtly moved to take his sister Sunpetal's tail within his own messy one, grasping it tight as he picked up their youngest siblings' cheers among the crowd.
Grasslizard couldn't help but chuckle a bit at the leader's theatrics, before padding away to find his new apprentice. He was actually a bit touched that Ratstar was allowing him and his father Crimsonlife to mentor his great-aunt Pantherclaw's kits. The warrior couldn't see her in the crowd, but he was almost certain that Mudthistle was thrilled about it; her and Pantherclaw had always been real close.
This was one ceremony she wasn't going to interrupt.
Sunkit had a penchant for barging in and shouting her very loud opinions about Ratstar's announcements. Sunpaw had skipped her apprentice ceremony entirely in favor of staging a coup against their former deputy, and her former mentor, Rosethorn. Sunpetal, well, Sunpetal was much more mature and dignified, with her chin high and a notoriously sharp glimmer in her pretty sapphire gaze, her own personally constructed flower crown standing out against those of her siblings, as rather than choosing an array of the forest's finest finds, hers was twined through by dandelions, both the golden flower heads and puffy white post-bloom seeds. Though despite how collected she appeared, she, like her father, was struggling to maintain her composure, tears pricking the corners of her eyes. Unlike Ratstar, she was managing it...until bubbie wound their tails together.
Turning to face him, her tears were now streaming down her cheeks and she was definitely worthy of the 'snotty nose' comment Rosethorn'd made about her all those moons ago, and Sunpetal couldn't help but to fling her paws around Weevilspike's neck and bowl them both over. "We did it, bubbie! We're all---hic---grown up---hic---now!"
Frostedpaw sits proud and tall, watching everyone around her with a grin. She'd finally get to leave camp! The little tabby had been placed as a garden keeper, a different path than she would've known to choose for herself. But she was excited nonetheless. She loved herbs and plants, and she couldn't wait to learn everything about them.
Yarntangle glances up in surprise when her name was called to mentor her apprentice, but she was happy to learn who it was. she'd spent some time with Sunkit-- well, Sunpaw now, and she adored the little kitten.

Pantherclaw sat near her friend Mudthistle. Pride and joy were beaming from her eyes. I wonder what my grandfather, Bonefang thinks of my kits? she thought as she looked up into the sky.
The newly named Crowpaw sat gazing around proudly at the other members of SummerClan. He was finally an apprentice! Now he'll be able to prove to his clan his worth. He was going to be the finest warrior any cat has seen. His eyes feel on his sister and he saw how happy she was. Rising to his feet he went over to greet Frostedpaw. They were now on different paths, he'll be pursuing the life of a warrior while she'll be learning how to take care of plants. "This is so awesome, isn't it?" he asked happily.
"Sunpetal is such a beautiful name," Fisherpounce said as he approached the new garden keeper. "It suits you well, congratulations," he purred. "Now that we've been promoted we can really help our clan." He still believed they were chosen by StarClan for some special purpose to help make SummerClan better.
The red furred warrior, Crimsonlife was thrilled to receive his first apprentice. This was a huge responsibility that he'd take very seriously. He bent down to touch noses with Ashenpaw. "You'll make a fine warrior someday but you're going to have to work hard to become one. But don't worry, I'll be there to help you every step of the way."
Like her father, Redflame was excited to receive her first apprentice too. "Hello Soulpaw," she meowed. "I'm going to help you finish your training. Tomorrow you can catch me up on where your last mentor had left off. But for tonight, be sure to get a lot of rest. I'll come for you at dawn."
Unlike her siblings, quiet Ashenpaw was reveling in the fanfare from the safety of her mother's side, leaning into Pantherclaw for comfort. Her ears flicked back as Crimsonlife approached, and she offered him a dip of her head so fast she nearly threw herself off balance. "O-oh! I promise I'll work as hard as I can, Mister Crimsonlife, sir." She inwardly flinched at the shakiness in her voice, wondering what her new mentor would think of having such a pitiful apprentice like her, but she knew she wanted to do something great and be able to follow in her family's long-spanning legacies. A respected warrior like Crimsonlfie was sure to be able to help her!

Now puffy and red-faced, her crown dislodged and slightly crumpled on the ground, Sunpetal looked up at Fisherpounce and quickly corrected herself from being flattened on her back to a stand, propping her paws on her brother's chest for some extra height. His remark about her name dispelled the quaver in her voice, as if she'd never been crying in the first place, although the evidence remained on her features. "Isn't it though~?" she purred. "And did you hear, Papi even gave me an apprentice! I bet StarClan said something to him about how awesome and hard-working I am."
She reached across to touch her friend's cheek with her nose in a gesture of solidarity, adding, "Fisherpounce is a cool name, too. Very fierce, like you're on the hunt!"
Their ears pricked up at the sound of their name. An apprentice? Craftedbubble had never taught anyone else well... anything before! Excitement bubbled up in the young cat and they scanned the area until teal-blue eyes locked onto the young apprentice who sat quietly but proudly. Wondering what kind of cat she was, they approached as calmly and collected as they could.
"Welcome to the garden keepers, we're going to have so much fun making our home look beautiful." Their flower crown fell into their eyes at the last word and they used a clumsy paw to put it back up, "You have so much to learn, my dear. Frostedpaw, is it?"

Fisherpounce's eyes sparkled with mirth as he watched the disheveled Sunpetal try to right herself. He enjoyed her gentle touch on his cheek and returned her one in kind. "Why, thank you," he replied in response to her compliment about his new name. He dusted off her crown of flowers and placed them back on her head. "A fitting crown for a newly named queen," he said with a bow.
"Yes, I heard," he replied to what she said about receiving an apprentice. "It is quite an honor for sure." He did feel a little slighted though but he refused to show it. He even had experience training an apprentice but no one but Sunpetal knew about it. "Are you going to teach her anything I taught you?"
Weevilspike let out a laugh as Sunpetal tackled them both to the ground in a bear-hug, purring ecstatically as he nuzzled happily into his sister's billowing fur. As much of a mousebrain as she could be at times, they would always have each other. That the newly-named warrior knew for certain. He let out a soft 'oof' as Sunpetal propped herself up on his chest to talk with Fisherpounce, leaving him to watch the conversation while he remained laying awkwardly on his back. "I can never tell if you two are flirting or just being weird," he muttered under his breath, lifting his front paw to correct his own flower crown. "But seriously, of course Sunpetal got Cinderpaw as an apprentice; Cinderpaw follows her around like a baby duck half of the time."

Fisherpounce felt his facial fur grow hot at Weevilspike's comment about flirting. It kind of hit home. Am I flirting with Sunpetal? he thought. He did enjoy her company a lot and they've been friends ever since they were kits. Huh, maybe I am.
"That's true," he said in response to his remark about Cinderpaw. "Seems every time Sunpetal's in camp you can find Cinderkit, well paw now. I'm sure you'll do well with her." His last comment was directed to Sunpetal.
Daydreamer's expression flip flopped rather quickly at this meeting. At one second the charcoal bengal was full of pride with a smug smile on his maw, and then the second he was flabbergasted, his mouth hung open with surprise. Another apprentice? Again? Did he prove himself to be that good of a teacher with Weevilp-spike? He looked about, wondering if anyone was just as surprised as he was. When all appeared normal, he exhaustedly looked about for his new apprentice, wondering just how all this would go.

"Hi! I'm Crowpaw," the black and white apprentice mewed as he approached Daydreamer. He'd been waiting so long for this moment. He finally had a mentor! He reached up stretching his neck to touch noses with him the way he saw the other newly named apprentices do.

Daydreamer gave a soft smile at his apprentice, this one seemed to be much more of a go-getter too. Hopefully he wouldn't disappoint. "Daydreamer, nice to meet you." he responded, touching noses with the younger tom.
