Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Love is such a strange thing. Everyone who hear the word thinks of something positive. The love of a mother for a child, the love between mates, the love between firends...yet even love has a dark side. Love can drive cats to do unimaginable things. Things that seem just, when driven by love. But does that make their actions any less horendous? A murder is a murder after all...
Yes just like his name sake, Lovepaw has a dark side hidden underneath his luxurious red coat, golden gaze, and freckled face.
Amber smile opened a jar, her manicured claw bitten against her glittery teeth. Laughter soft and memorizing sang out gentle and warm, "You look a tad lonely."
But she wasn't Amber for much longer, in just one ceremony she would be made a Janus. It almost didn't seem genuine. The way she so easily abandoned her own clan mates for SunClan. Seemingly just for the power alone, who was to say she was loyal to SunClan at all? But apparently she would become Janus and that ceremony alone was enough to determine her true motives. Truly the only person her condescending tone never hit was Lovepaw. Still her pompous girly tone practically accented her entire voice.
Her tail swished slightly, the two feathers she received in DayClan still woven into her tail. A russet colored feather with spots that practically blended into her tail and a small peacock looking feather representing Innocence and Popularity.
Lovepaw looked up only to see Amber smiling at him, and he couldn't help but smile back. "Hello yourself, gorgeous". Though Amber had not yet passed her initiation, he had found himself spending more time with her. There were rumors going around that she might become and Janus, but o course on the Sun God would decide that.
"I'm assuming you are here to cure my dreadful loneliness deary?" he winked as he noticed the feathers in her tail. He didn't really understand why DayClan felt the need to wear feathers. Feathers came from birds, and birds were prey.
Jetclaw was moving through camp fetching a mouse from the prey pile when she spotted Lovepaw interacting with one of the DayClan initiates, whom according to Skipstep might be becoming a Janus. She huffed a bit, she didn’t want to try and disagree with the Sun God. But she felt extreme doubts of her worthiness. Or that she was entirely loyal.
It could also be her own bitterness, Jetclaw had yearned to be among the Janus. To be chosen by the sun and told she was worthy. But the yearning had died down. Firstly because her brother told her, he wanted to see her as a warrior, and that he believed it was where she excelled. Fighting battles for SunClan. Secondly, because her position as warrior enabled her to be there for Littlebird when Skipstep’s duties in the Janus camp prevented this.
But still, it displeased her to see such a cat potentially receiving such a high rank. Scoffing to herself she took the mouse and headed away, towards Littlebird’s den.
"Serving you is basically like serving SunClan right? So I have to find a cure," Amber said, her body suddenly moving past him as she spoke, "Even if it takes all night."
She glanced back at the sudden sound of Jetclaw before looking back towards Lovepaw with a smile playing at her lips, "Maybe we should warm up somewhere a little more quiet. Can you think of anywhere?" Her claws that looked more pretty out of decoration than for use tip toed across Lovepaw's shoulder sending him warm shivers by the lightness of the touch. It was only when she had started that she wondered if Lovepaw would take as a threat. DayClan cats were always so docile and trusting, there was never any question that they could trust literally everyone. She had grown accustomed to that nature.
Lovepaw hardly noticed the other she-cat his eyes on the one before him. She was his target, and others might as well have not even been present. "It might take longer than a night to cure what ails me" he replied playfully as her claws danced across his shoulder. Even though he wasn't in love with her, he felt a shiver of excitment make it's way down his spine.
It was only when she spoke about being alone that he noticed the glares being given to them by Jetclaw. 'Let them stare' he thought to himself. "We could always go to the sunflower field"
Her gaze followed Lovepaw's. She let out a purr at his idea, her gilded fiery pelt moved against Lovepaw's auburn pelt like ocean waves kissing up against sandy shores, whispering close into his ear, "Let's do it."
She had a shy girl smile spread lightly across her lips. The small kind of smile that left everyone wanting more with the perfectly timed rosy blush followed by a quick duck of her head. Everyone liked a shy girl smile because it never failed to feel real and cute. When her sisters were around she was the shy one. The one that had to keep things sugar sweet and needed to keep in line with her sister or else. She was the kind of girl who had to hide her smile because it couldn't outshine someone else's and so it stuck with her. That half genuine smile that still couldn't confidently rise all the way.
He found himself being drawn into her warmth as he rose to his paws, allowing his tail to drape over her side. He knew that this was just and ploy to get his attention, but he didn't mind. After all, he wasn't necessarily falling for her, but she would be fun to play with until another more interesting she-cat came along
He lead the way to the Sunflower fields, keeping the young she-cat close.
Amber's eyes lit up like starlight, her chin pointed up slightly mesmerized by the garden, "They're beautiful. I wish I could pluck one for myself."
Her head leaned back to look at Lovepaw, "You're so lucky to have grown up near such a beautiful garden. What other land has sunflowers after all?"
She looked enchanting like a golden tigress with bleeding red stripes moving through a jungle of sunflowers, "So where is this special place," she asked in a whisper as though it were their little secret.
