Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She sat on the border of MoonClan, her tail wrapped daintily around her tail. If you didn't know who she was, it was easy to assume she was an apprentice. Her frame was small, and her face still carried some of the softness of youth. However, members of the Forest were starting to learn that the feline was anything but an apprentice. She was none other than Aspenstar, the leader of a thriving NightClan. Although, surely, there had been days when her group was less together than others, she had proven herself adept at making them a force to be reckoned with. One of the ways she did this was through the establishment of alliances between the group. So far, she had a collection of them. She could call on Ratstar, Jetstar, Cradlegrave... Any of them would answer her calls. More recently, Littlestar seemed to be on the list. But, even though she and the SunClan leader saw eye to eye now, she still hoped to make one more connection in the forest. That's why she was here that evening. She wanted to meet Ravenstar, the newest addition to the Leaders of the Enchanted Forest. stardance
This whole leadership thing couldn't be newer to the young leader. Less than a quarter moon ago he was still an student at the Academy, and now here he was, supposedly making diplomatic contact with the NightClan Leader. If there was thing he was not, it was diplomatic, but he had to try to make some sort of an impression. And what better way to make an impression than to wake up late? He never rose early as a student, and has habits wouldn't let him start now. He woke with a jump in his new den, and then looked out to see the sunlight fading and the brilliant colors in the Cathedral becoming muted. Crap. He cursed as he shook out his fur and ran towards the NightClan border.
He arrived as the last of the Sun's light disappeared and day became night. The Maine coon's long, dark fur made him almost disappear into the dimming world. His eyes held no trace of an apology. "What do you want?"
Aspenstar let out a snort. "You're awfully pleasant," she meowed with a flick of her tail, measuring the cat up. He was the youngest leader in the forest, so she'd give him a break for his poor table manners if only for the fact that she felt a little badly for him. She had been thrown into leadership before she was ready, but at least she had been a warrior for more than ten minutes before her promotion. Her tail flicked back and forth again, before she settled slightly.
"NightClan and MoonClan are both clans of the night, however we have had no diplomatic contact since I became leader. I came tonight to test the waters and discuss where the two clans stand to determine whether or not we would be suitable allies."
Diplomatic ties? That made the tom's temper simmer down. It still neared its boil, but such a change could only bring good thing for MoonClan. Their isolation made them vulnerable under Marvelstar's leadership, and he would not let it happen again. He sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. "You have my attention..." He trailed off. He didn't know the other leader's name. Awkward. "I have no issue with you or your people. It's those crazy lunatics that you share a border with that bother me." At least to him, it was clear who those crazy lunatics could be.
He tilted his head to the side. "Anyway, what were you thinking? I don't want us to have some vague promise of diplomacy. Those kinds of promises are as useless as crowfood on a good day."
