News & Updates
11.06.2022 The site has been transformed into an archive. Thank you for all the memories here!
Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
If you haven't heard yet, we successfully transferred our custom domain to ProBoards! You can now access the site by visiting warriorcatclans2.com or warriorcatclans2.freeforums.net
This means two big changes:
1.) If you are logged in on one domain, you will not be automatically logged in to the other. What does this mean? If you're roleplaying on the .com domain and click a link that goes to the .net domain, you will not be logged in (and if you're using dark mode, you might be suddenly blinded by light mode). Hint: mods who switch domains will often run into the issue of not being able to see confidential information because they're logged out. How do you fix this problem? If you're following the link, you can manually switch back to the domain you were using (by typing the correct name into your URL bar) or you can simply log in to both domains at the same time. If you're creating the link, help prevent this problem by using relative URLs!
2.) What's a relative URL? In the past, we've made links like this: [a href="https://warriorcatclans2.freeforums.net/threads/recent"]this is my super cool link[/a] but if you click this link (this is my super cool link) and you're logged into the .com domain, you'll have to switch to using the .net domain!
But there's an easy solution. Just write all of your links like this: [a href="/threads/recent"]this is my super cool link[/a] and now when you follow the link (this is my super cool link) you stay on the domain you were already using!
Note: If you're sending the link off-site (ie through Discord) do not use a relative link! Send the full link!
If you notice any official Classic pages or threads that aren't using relative URLs, send Cleaver a message and it'll be fixed! Post below if you have any questions c:
