"Oh now won't you look SSSSSOOOOOOO cute when I am done?" Southpaw gazed up holding up the flower necklace she had made for her new friend Carnagepanic (according to the bead matching) and offering to place it around his neck. Her eyes were wide with glee at finally having a friend to call her own "Then after this we can paint each other's fur, do our nails, AND have a spa day" she purred, nearly prancing in anticipation Cleaver
"You really think so?" Carnagepanic smiled fleetingly, eager but way too nervous to show it for long. "Maybe, if it looks really good, we can make something for my mate too? Valleyrose would love it." Right? Valleyrose loved flowers. She would appreciate the effort. He hoped. He leaned forward to let her place the necklace around his neck, assured, "this is very pretty, I think."

Southpaw's eyes widened, as she placed the flower's around his neck sitting back down on on her haunches with a big grin on her face. She had thought that he might turn down her present, and was delighted that he seemed to be excited about the day that she had planned for them "Definitely!!! Is Valleyrose your mate?!?!?!" she gasped loudly, one paw raising up to her mouth to cover it " Oh my Sun God, how romantic" her paw slowly fell back to the ground "Now don't you worry, I will get you all fixed up and you can take her on a nice date tonight" Cleaver
The tortoiseshell tom nodded eagerly, still unable to believe it himself. "We haven't really... told anyone yet," he admitted, "besides her mother... but yes. So you understand why I really want to impress her!" He blinked at her gratefully with his mismatched eyes. Truth was, Carnagepanic was a little nervous to tell anyone... he really liked Valleyrose, but everyone knew how perfect she was. And he wasn't, not in any way. She loved him, but what would everyone else think of their relationship? He shouldn't care... but he did.
"Thank you, Southpaw," he choked out, suddenly feeling a little emotional and overwhelmed. "I... I really want to make her happy."

Southpaw squealed, putting her paw up to muffle it from sheer joy at the proposition "Oh absolutley I will help you out. By the time I am done with you, you are going to be the MOST handsome tom in the clan" she purred "and you'll smell nice to. I know just the thing!!! It's a trick my dad taught me, and I think it's just what you need. Let's go soak in the hot springs for a while to get your fur nice and soft before we do anything to it. It will get out any tangles, and more importantly it will be softer than even a kits. She won't be able to keep her paws off of you" she was on her paws motioning for him to follow "Come on, come on. We need to get started like way earlier" Cleaver
Carnagepanic smiled at her in silence, so utterly grateful he couldn't speak, though his eyes were overflowing with more heart than he could have ever found the words for. "Thank you," he purred again when he could finally speak. He would probably be saying that a lot today. Dipping his head a little, he murmured, "okay, okay, we can do this. Let's go! To the hot springs, that's not so bad."
He found it hard to believe he could ever be the most handsome tom in the clan, but he had to try... what harm could it do?

Southpaw giggled, leading the tom off into the hot springs and wading into the warm water. At first touch it was a little uncomfortably hot, but once you go used to the warmth it was quite relaxing. It was one of the best ways to ease any tension that your body might be holding onto in addition to the wonderful affects that it had on one's fur "Now just let youself sink into the water and rest you chin on one to the rocks. Ill get some moss to put on your head to soak the fur there"
Carnagepanic flinched as he stepped into the water. It felt like his pads were boiling just from the contact, and he immediately took a step back, his mind screaming at him that this was not drinking water, this was dangerous firewater. Logically, he knew that, he understood the springs would be nice and relaxing, but he was shaking his head and pulling away, his lesser instincts winning out.
"Yeah, okay," he mumbled, and waited until Southpaw was gone to try again.
He stepped in slowly, one paw at a time, his breath quivering as he fought to stay still. Valleyrose, he was going this for Valleyrose, he just had to remember that... taking a deep breath, he entered the water further, and continued his slow pace until he was buried up to his neck. Now it wasn't so bad, and resting his chin on the stone as she'd ordered, Carnagepanic was nearly relaxed.

Southpaw had soon returned with the moss, gently pressing it into the water and blotting it on the fur around his face to that it wouldn't hurt his eyes, nose, or ears. Her father had done the same for her countless times. It was why her fur was always so soft and unblemished, keeping even her long fur from tangling under most circumstances "This should make you extra soft and cuddly. She won't be able to keep her paws off of you" the young apprentices grinned, taking her time until was satisfied
"Ok put one of your paws her on the stone and I will work on your nails" she replied waiting on him to do as she had asked "So what is it about Valleyrose that you like?"Cleaver
He purred, lifting his paws onto the stone willingly. "What are you going to do to them?" he wondered curiously, but he trusted her enough not to take his feet away. Instead, he went on, "Oh, well, there's just so much to like. She's very sweet and nice to everyone. And she looks so cute when she gets excited about things! I don't know anyone else that gets like that," he admitted.

Southpaw giggled "She sounds cute!" she agreed, taking his paw and gently pressing on it to make his nails emerge before filing them gently on the stone to sharpen them. Going slowly and carefully, so that she wouldn't break them in the process. By the time she was finished, the nail was extra sharp and shiny before she moved onto the next one "I can see why you would like her. I want a guy that is handsome and strong and will sweep me off my feet. Daddy says I need to stop living like im in a fairy tale, but I won't settle for anything less than my perfect prince" her eyes glimmered as she spoke "I know that the right one will come around, and until then I'm fine being a lonely princess!"
Carnagepanic's paw started to ache from the pressure of keeping his claws out, but at least her tale was a distraction to help keep his mind off of it. "I didn't think I would find the perfect cat either," he told her, "and if I did, I never thought they would want me. I'm not very impressed. But if I had tried to settle, I never would have met Valleyrose. Your prince is out there somewhere! Maybe."

"I know he is" replied Southpaw with an exaggerated sigh
"You claws are all finished now" she moved over to the tom, gently running her claws through his fur to get rid of any loose fur or matts "Momma and poppa are talking about taking us over to the regime to be Rays. I think that will be a lot of fun! It will be like an adventure, but I am a little nervous" she confessed, keeping her eyes on the task at hand "The regime cats all seem mean and scary. They are like the bad guys in the stories momma tells me"
Carnpagepanic turned his claws over, admiring her work. She was doing her best trying to make him look good; it must take a lot of effort. Southpaw was doing all this for him and they barely even knew each other. How could anyone be mean to her when she was so sweet? "You know, when I was young, everyone told me that SunClan cats were the bad guys," he told her. "But... you're not a bad guy. I'm not a bad guy, right? Those are all just stories. The Reimecats won't be bad guys either."

"I guess so" she replied giving him a little nod as she finished the detangling of his pelt. Now she had began to comb out and of the loose undercoat so that his coat would really shine "I will give them a chance anyway. That is what princess do, right? Turn monsters into princes"

Southpaw nodded eagerly "You know what, you are right" Southpaw motioned for the warrior to stand and led him out of the water "Most monsters are just cats who need a little extra love anyway. Go ahead and shake out your coat"
"Well, maybe not most," he began nervously as she led him from the water. He stepped back from her and shook himself gently, trying his best to keep from getting her wet. His legs were a little shaky from laying down for so long, and he was getting dizzy by the time he stopped. "Better?" he asked hopefully.

“Yep now all you need to do is stand there, and I’ll get you dry before we paint your fur!!! Yours is a little dry, you should start putting a little bit of oil into it before you go to bed at night and wash it out in the morning. I promise it will make you feel so much softer, and you will shed less!” The little white apprentice pulled some moss that she had soaker earlier and began dabbing it across his coat before grabbing a big leaf and rubbing his fur gently ina a downward motion
