11.06.2022 The site has been transformed into an archive. Thank you for all the memories here!
Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.

Here we go again everyone: more awesome try outs! With these try outs you will have the option to try out for Warden, Mage (medicine cat apprentice) and Assassin Successor. Warden is a staff position while Medicine cat is role play position but included in staff. There will be 3 spots available for Assassin Successor with which are basically like Janus. If the Assassin steps down one of these three people will have a chance at being Assassin! They essentially body guard Shaman, Mage, and Warden. As you guess they are just fun roleplaying positions but could lead to staff position down the road. Again all I ask is two threads a week for activity reasons (they don't have to be new, just active) but there is no strike system to this. Anyway here is the format and good luck everyone!

Username: achromatic Cat name: Bermondsey Cat Picture:i.pinimg.com/564x/7b/3d/2d/7b3d2d26e5b511af6fa4f5a40d41a2da.jpg Cat Bio: There are only two places, first place and no place. Everyone remembers the first nemesis of Primal Instinct, but what about the second? The third? Everyone remembers the first, but only the second remembers the second. Bermondsey, the second born of Severine E'tani's second litter, could attest to that. A thin grey tom with almost feminine features, and a wide-eyed bright green gaze, he doesn't really look all too dangerous. He's tall, yes, but too willowy to be much of a powerhouse. He's not much of a flirt like his father either, and not necessarily handsome enough to break hearts at ease. The androgynous look doesn't always suit everyone after all. However, much like his father Alistair before he went mad, he prizes the gifts of his mind rather than his athletic prowess. Rather stern and aloof most of the time, he compartmentalizes his feelings rather well, separating emotions from his own sense of twisted logic. He doesn't form too many attachments. He has a knack for being rather blunt and to the point, rarely disguising or flowering his words to make them nicer or more socially appropriate. He often enjoys employing sarcastic quips and little teasing smirks as well, something he inherited from his father. Being second made him rather unimportant in the family hierarchy, but for him, it's both a blessing and a curse. He learned to slip through the cracks, to listen, and to not be seen. However, don't count him out of the race. The small grey tom might not seem dangerous, but you better not judge this book by its cover.
(he's on the page already ♥ )
Role trying out for: Warden!
What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: I can offer layouts and templates for everything and a lot of maybe plot ideas! I was formerly warden like.......a thousand years ago but during that time I think we averaged some of the highest thread counts per week mayhaps? I just remember we used to do 100-200 threads per week, and while I'm not as spry as I used to be (I'm old now RIP) I can at least 1) force my friends to RP with me ♥ and 2) still keep to a pretty active standard! I'm not sure what the activity requirements are but I never missed a CTCC from what I remember, so I'm reliable (hopefully!)
Why would your cat want this position? Bermondsey's complicated, in the sense that he's both self-preserving and self-destructive at the same time; it's just part of the family madness. On one hand, he sees himself greater than everyone else because he's clever, he's manipulative if he wants to be, he was born into a position of power, but being seen as 'second-best' to everyone else in his family, and also seeing the rest of them destroy themselves, he's a lot warier than his predecessors. He's spent his childhood trying to prove he's just as good as his mother's first litter, and after his sister killed their mother, spent the rest of his life trying to prove he wasn't going to go mad like the rest of them. It's partially proving to his dead family that he deserved better than what they gave him, and partially to protect himself, because what other protection can be offered other than power itself, right?
In reality, he doesn't always know what he wants. He wants to end his own bloodline. He wants to solve his family's curse. He wants to make sure that the very tiny few cats he cares for don't end up dying the same way his family did. Being warden means putting his gifts to use, it means keeping himself safe and separate from the others, and it means proving a point.
I sort of want him to get the position and then realize that just because he sits on a higher chair, doesn't mean that his problems go away, and having him deal with all of that and his eventual oncoming madness (whoo! curse!) and I think his morally grey character would be fun to have (the conflict of secretly having a heart and willing to burn the world for those he cares for, and also the contradiction of having little to no empathy for anyone) and to develop ♥

Cat Name: Altair Cat Picture Cat Bio: First born into importance, this tom has never let his confidence waver. He learned to have a quick tongue from his father, the Ambassador Proxy. and gained a great facade from his mother, the Shaman. Appearing to be caring, to his clanmates, his siblings, even those above him, all while simply enjoying the highlife of his families' positions. Due to his temperament this large tom suffers from a lack of tact, appearing at some times flat out rude and feral, but with his training, manages to cover himself quite often. Ever popular with the she-cats, he dons a coat of black from above, and snow white below, as if dunked into the cold material at birth. He has honey eyes, sweet to stare into as long as you dont mind the harshness underneath. This is a cat that plays by his own rules, and has been since birth, and he always has to come out on top.
Role trying out for: Assassin Successor What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: probably a 6/10 rn, havent been on the actual site in a couple days but im still active in discord n all lol Why would your cat want this position: Whats better than working with your brother and best bud to make sure that everyone stays in line?
Username: bauble Cat name: Elizabeth Cat picture: link Cat bio: Her fur has captured the appearance and mien of smoke itself, its tendrils moving and curling as if in an unfelt wind. The sands of innocence were corrupted in her long ago, though a prismatic fire has preserved itself in her soul. Eyes, blue glass that shines beneath a canopy of black lashes. Her tear blood runs through twin peaks of cheekbones. A slender pillar of a neck – magnet of eroticism, blinding the veins gorging on flesh, dancing under pulse of blood – or whatever strange liquid flows inside. Her voice is as sweet as birdsong, projecting words as sharp as a whip.
Role trying out for: Assassin Successor
What can you offer/level of activity: I check this website at least once a day and reply to all the threads that have to be replied to. Therefore I'd put my activity at an 8/10 right now. Since it's a roleplaying position, I can offer lots of roleplaying and plot ideas of course.
Why my character would want this position: Elizabeth is a ruthless, guiltless creature, but she's not just some brute. She's intelligent and seductive, and can use that to her advantage. That's what assassins are supposed to do right? Use any means to terminate their targets? Also, I think she's tired of smashing heads together in the crypt, and wants a position with more... refinement?
Cat Bio:The shield. A name more befitting of someone with a larger stature, one meant to impose fear and intimidate. With just a single glance, it seems that this cat was completely misnamed. Rather small in size, Aegis is not the typical towering figure that anyone would expect from one named after a shield, nor does she carry the bulk. As a rather petite, mostly orange and black calico, she is easily overlooked. Don’t be fooled, however, as there is muscle hidden within this small frame. What she lacks in her stature, she makes up for in other ways. Quick in both movement and mind, she can deliver powerful blows in the blink of an eye, while studying her opponent to decide just where the hit should make contact. She may not be the best at overall strategy, but thinking on her feet with split-second decisions is where her talents lie. If you were to meet her piercing yellow gaze, you could tell that this is a she-cat that you should be wary of. Aegis strives to live up to her name, and if she can’t match it in appearance, then she will do her best to be a protector. If the scars buried within her pelt are anything to go by, she’s taken attacks meant for her League mates more than once. While her trust is something that isn’t handed out often, she would still do anything for the cats of Primal Instinct. Her own fate and body doesn’t matter, and although she would rather not sacrifice herself and find an alternative route to save someone, if it came down to it, she would still do it. Her methods tend to be rather reckless at times, as if she was acting more on impulse than her quick mind, and perhaps she is. Still, she gets the job done. Don’t misunderstand her protectiveness as kindness, as she is still a cat of Primal Instinct, after all. She has been through much in her never-ending fight for survival, with many events shaping and hardening her heart. There is a reason why her trust doesn’t come naturally, but if anyone dared to break through to her, they would find a completely different cat on the inside.
Role trying out for: assassin successor
What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: Honestly, the last time I roleplayed in PI was back in 2017, and a lot has changed since then and I'm slightly confused but I'm doing my best to learn! But hey, at least I can offer the opinion of someone new to the group. As for my activity, it's been a little iffy lately with everything going on irl, but I'm still able to at least get on and check the site every day, and my discord is always open. I can at least get a couple of posts in per week.
Why would your cat want this position: Protecting others is what Aegis does best, especially if it can be done from the shadows since she's not the largest cat. Up until now, she's just been trying to be a shield to anyone, literally just throwing herself into harms way if it meant she'd be able to save someone from an attack. She takes the 'shield' meaning of her name a little too literally sometimes. Having an excuse to properly guard someone would be great, and help her feel like she's actually living up to her name. She would still feel out of place, and probably go a little out of her way to try and build some more mass, but it would still be something that she would be passionate about, something that she has achieved on her own power, and that's what she truly wants. Plus, any chance to be a shield is a welcome addition to her book.
Cat Bio: The least known sister of the litter, but the most eccentric and mysterious. Cats are attracted to her like moths to a flame, though most never seem to be able to remember from day to day, forgetting her existence entirely once she's out of sight. And that's exactly how she wants it. Silvery-white, with enchanting lines written across her face, framing around beautiful, soft periwinkle eyes, she is a beautiful feline, and yet, no matter what seems to happen, she slips the mind of all who know her, coming and going like misty mornings, a face to be seen, but not recognized. And that is what makes her ideal for her job. She could stand in plain sight, and no one would be any wiser to her presence, continuing on as if she were a mere ghost. She sees this as some sort of power of hers, bestowed by the same underworld creatures who sent Senescence, whom she believes to be a demon, to save her and her siblings from their mother. It is largely for this reason that she does not fear the ghosts, the crypt demon, or any mortal being. Agamede has seen the truly terrifying, the beasts that are allowed to freely roam the world, and it helped her. So what has she to fear from anyone else?
Role trying out for: Assassin Successor
What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: I always love coming up with plots. I'll fully admit I've not been good with activity in the League recently when I was Proxy, but I'm confident I can keep the minimum of two threads a week active.
Why would your cat want this position: Agamede basically did all Sen's work anyway. Also, she may just wanna try and get closer to Regulus...
Cat Bio: Cloaked in black pinstripes with a silver base, where most cats are pink she is black or gray, giving her a sinister, undead quality. Tufts of black fur edge the tip of each ear but otherwise her fur is short and coarse like the pelt of a dog. She has an athletic build but is oddly proportioned: her back is too flat, her legs and tail too long. Her most dramatic feature is her hawk yellow eyes, loud and distracting like twin bolts of lighting, and just as likely to paralyze. Enchanting and sly, Circe is a cat with many toms surrounding her, most of whom seem to disappear without any warning, only for an animal of some sort to show up in their place. Rumor has it she turns her enemies, and any cat who offends her, into the animals that she appears to have tamed. She carries around a small stick, which cats presume is the source of her supposed 'powers.' When asked directly about the fates of "boyfriends" she usually just smirks and says something cryptic, like "I tend not to look back. It’s confusing." Circe is not known for cruelty but neither is she known for kindness. A cat with no conscience, she recognizes suffering but makes no effort to end it. She lives her life by a mysterious code that not even those closest to her understand.
Role trying out for: Assassin Successor
What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: You may not know this, but PI is the first group I joined on WCC2, which makes it very close to my heart <3 I may not have been the most active recently, but I'm excited to see what you do and plan to be an active part of it regardless of whether or not I'm not staff. I also see a lot of fun to be had with Agamede & Circe - Sen's witchy daughters - constantly stirring the pot, err, cauldron together. There may even be a bit of competition between the two of them in "getting closer" to Regulus...
Why would your cat want this position: "What a strange question," Circe purred, her muzzle twisting into likely a smile, maybe a smirk, "I thought it was obvious."
Cat Bio: The first thing most cats notice about Reynardine is her eyes. Each of them is split down the middle, half blue and half green. The rest of her mid-sized frame is covered in stark white fur, with pale ears and a pale pink nose. There isn't much else to notice about her at first- she seems to listen more than speak, take in more than let out. Reynardine has been in the League for some time, though most cats know nothing about her or her past, as she tends to hold that information close to her chest. Still, this ghostly feline seems to know things others don't- perhaps it's divine knowledge, perhaps it's her tendency to overhear information and store it away for future use. For a cat in Primal Instinct, she's oddly mild-mannered- slow to react or be riled up. Oftentimes she can seem eerie or otherworldly, and her split eyes can make grown cats sweat out their secrets. [on page already]
Role trying out for: Mage
What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: I love Primal Instinct! I've lead it twice, but never been the mage/shaman (at least, I think... I have a bad memory). I can offer consistent activity, fun threads, and a consistent, annoying presence for ian!
Why would your cat want this position: Reynardine seeks knowledge and understanding, and would find herself deeply interested in herbs and how they can heal and harm. She would value the training and the chance to discover more about the world around her, since she grew up in a very superstitious and traditional place and has enjoyed the freedom she's found in the League since.
black tom with haunting red eyes, he is the son of Zodiac, a merciless mafia leader of the group Genesis in the city and a feline with quite a bit of history to back his name. Though he may appear to be an intimidating force who radiates darkness like the most resentful of demons, there’s a kaleidoscope of a personality hidden within, cracks only shown to those willing to play the long game.
Role trying out for: Warden why not
What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: It’s probably hard to believe, given the level of procrastination I’ve been delivering, but I like to pride myself on being an active & highly dedicated team player. When I was Winter deputy, I had high aspirations to try and beat SunClan activity-wise, coming up with a plan to persuade activity and team togetherness. It didn’t really work, but it’s the thought that counts! I also personally feel accomplished that I helped boost Winter while I was there, so. As for what I can offer... granted, I can be pretty lazy and struggle with lack of motivation hardcore, but once I’m actually online? Activity, plot ideas (small or grand, short or stretching for millennia), adoptables, ready and jumping at the chance to help with editing pages, updating official threads (joining, activity, etc.), assigning mentors and what not, as well as the usual design fun. Granted, I fully believe Achromatic is like... the god of design for Classic, but I can do a decent job at layouts, and I know my way very comfortably around both HTML and BBCode.
Why would your cat want this position: Honestly... Cross is a wild card, no kidding. Considering the plot he’s gonna be in — both as far as Achromatic’s cult goes and the romance he’s managed to cook up for himself — his children (and his lust for vengeance?) will tie him to PI. He’d be a fool not to take a position where he has the power to protect, empower, and guide his children, while also keeping an eye on those who may pose a threat to his present, future, or past. Despite all the dark, villainous, misunderstood evil archetype talk, though, he’s a wild card in his personality too. Maybe he just wanted to offer Regulus what support he could, even if it meant tying himself to the League after having not been in it since the time of his former mate, Marchosais.

What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: I’m on every day tomorrow I learn my complete work schedule but I will never go past 5 pm. I don’t work weekends or holidays so I have plenty of time to dedicate to PI. When I have to step away from the site for a few days I’m pretty good about messaging whoever is in charge about my absence unless it’s an extreme circumstance out of my control. I’m very fond of this group and have been actively dedicated to it since I rejoined Classic in 2015. I have no doubt that I can handle 2 threads a week. I will always try to shoot for more though. Besides my activity I can offer HTML, wine BBcode designs. I also love to help others brainstorm plots.
Why would your cat want this position: Blushing ultimately fails at being a Hunter. They have zero sense of stranger danger and really only talks themself out of situations. They can hunt and do basic fighting moves, but they are overall pretty clumsy and never fully grasped fighting all that much. They would probably be interested in the Mage position to prove themselves as not a wasted space in PI. Not going to lie I’ve actually gotten pretty attached to this character in the thread I’ve been rping her and I feel she could make for an interesting character dynamic among the rest of the other staffs characters. I don’t think I would rp them as a prodigy medical student. Majority of my medical cats have been prodigies and I think rping a character that ultimately struggles could lead to a lot of interesting plot ideas. As for them as a character I believe it could lead to a lot of character growth.
Cat Name: Cezra Cat Bio: "For the wages of sin is death, my son," his father'd said, and when the senior peered into his junior's eyes, Cezra felt a fear of death for the very first time. He soon learned that there are far worse things than death. Rather than release, he endured beatings and abuse by day, and at night his father would take him down to their prayer pool and they would repent for all they did and did not do. His father would weep beside him; not for his grievances, but to commiserate his misfortune that all that was left of his legacy was a bastard son. He couldn't stand to look at his son any longer, Cezra's mirthful eyes a hideous reminder of his mother's betrayal, and it was then he began to avoid his own reflection entirely---a sinful, disgraceful reflection, his father'd said. He masks it with a smile. Cezra Rutherford Collier Jr, heir to a half-blood heritage, scourge of the wilds, is a firecracker armed with a fatal wit and disarming charm, but also a hair trigger and cataclysmic irreverence. He was raised to uphold the values taught to him and to defy temptation in all its forms, but after he suffered the hands of abuse delivered by the holiest man he knew, he now indulges in what he would originally have scorned. He is sin disguised in tabbied fur and mirthless eyes, honoring nothing but his sacrilegious soul. Cat Picture: link
Role trying out for: Assassin Successor What can you offer to this position & level of activity?: I can offer a bunch of schemes and bad jokes, a similarly annoying presence for ian, and a consistent activity level! Cezra is a character based off one who is very near and dear to my heart, so he's one I'm already connected with and I'd love to see him thrive here and be a source of entertainment for everyone who interacts with him! Why would your cat want this position: "Heh," Cezra giggled. "Ass succ."
