Tangledcurls paw stood as tall as he could, as the SunClan patrol stepped over NightClan's border. He was still rather young, and it was the first time he had ever been allowed to go on such a special mission!! Of course all he was doing was escorting Blissfulstrom to NightClan to serve as their Ray, but to him it was a big deal. His little curls were decked out in his best paint job, bouncing with every step that he took. The older her got, the longer the curls became giving him a cute but rather odd appearance. He had never been outside of SunClan's territory before, so this was all new to him especially the whole going out at night thing. He couldn't help the shiver that ran down his spine as he gaze up at the moon hovering overhead like a cold eyed "Do you think the Moon Goddess is watching us? I mean NightClan worships StarClan, but doesn't she share the sky with them?" he had heard storied of the evil moon goddess, and StarClan. In SunClan they acknowledged that StarClan existed, in fact some SunClan cats would choose to live in StarClan after death. It is just the they considered their God as far more powerful, after all StarClan were just spirits. How were they supposed to measure up to a God?

Blissfulstorm paced along the border, her whiskers twitching as she looked around. A Ray... this was huge! Such a big responsibility...! Oh Sun God, would she be able to handle this? Of course, she would! Blissfulstorm could do this. The tabby let out a sigh before she straightened up. She flicked her ears and glanced over at Tangledpaw.
"Oh...! Well..." She said as she looked up at the sky. "Well... I'm sure they all share the sky. I mean... well would you spit the sky up like we do the territories? I don't think it works like that? I'd like to think that there's a sort of mutual respect for everyone up there. Wouldn't you think?"
Aspenstar had been waiting patiently for the voices to sound, alerting her to the fact that their guest was there. Of course, Aspenstar still wasn't exactly sure she should be fond of the idea of SunClan cats living in her territory; after all, the last one that had resided here was Soot, a prisoner. However, Aspenstar knew that there was strategy involved in the game she was playing with the other clan, which meant that some things would have to be tolerated. This was one of them, and it was going to be one that shouldn't be very hard to control. After all, the Ray could just be watched indefinitely, right? They could show her a kind welcome while still keeping her an arms length away, and then they could appease SunClan while not compromising their own values.
She was surprised to hear them talk about the sky, and it made the fur on her tail bristle slightly. Not enough to be noticeable, really, but enough that se felt the involuntary movement. She knew that these cats were... missionaries of some sort, but the very idea of the Sun God made her nauseous. Blinking the thoughts away, Aspenstar sighed and stood.
"You must be Blissful... cloud?" the NightClan leader tried, before offering an apologetic shrug. "I apologize. That doesn't sound quite right, but between you and I, my messenger isn't the most reliable." She offered a wink, before flicking her ear.
Squirrelleap had opted to accompany the leader to the border. He'd been around for a while, been a warrior during the time when NightClan had been a part of the pride and sided with SunClan.
NightClan had been through a shaky time after Flamingstar, there'd been a shift in leaders, but now Aspenstar seemed to have NightClan well in paw. And the last thing the clan needed was to lose their leader.
Plus, though Littlestar was supposedly back in as leader, that didn't negate the danger, after all they'd produced Bloodystar and all the fire and destruction that had befallen SunClan, could make cats desperate, and he didn't put it past any cat.
But he was admittedly a little relieved when he took in the sight of Tangledpaw and Blissfulstorm, these didn't look like cruel cats that would've thrived under Bloodystar's reign, so perhaps this wouldn't be too bad of an exchange.
Niightfury followed in the back of the group. The Janus did not wear the intricate designs that his Clanmates did. His plain black fur stood without any interruption despite his elevated position, and his icy blue eyes scanned the leader with something akin to boredom. He was sent escort them, but he really didn't have anything to say to the leader... he never had anything to say to anyone. It was just fantastic that Littlestar gave him some public relations work. "... Hello."

(Just a note, I am going to go ahead and have Tangledcurls serve as a ray as well. He was going to be promoted at the end of this ac, and I am trying to send out all the rays in pairs if possible)
"Aspenstar!" the newly promoted warrior greeted with a a big grin, giving a respectful dip of his head as the NightClan cats began to appear "Hi I'm Tangledcurls, this is Blissfulstorm, and this....." he turned looking back at Nightfurry and motioning with his tail "is Nightfury. He is a Janus, but he doesn't really talk a whole lot. I think the Sun God stole his tongue" he caught himself rambling, and reigned himself back in "We were sent here by Littlestar to serve as SunClan rays in NightClan" he paused to catch his breathe "Oh and we brought a bunch of presents so that NightClan can celebrate the summer solstice to!" He motioned towards the bundles that they had carried to the border "This is going to be so much fun! We can make suncatchers, and clay tablets, and prayer trees" he chirped enthusiastically. While it made him nervous to be out here under the moon, he was also excited to be sharing all of this fun stuff with another clan and getting to tell them about the Sun God.

“Hi! I’m Blissfulstorm!” The tabby exclaimed as she introduced herself once more to the Nightclan cats. “Tangledcurls here pretty much got the just of why we’re here! It’s a pleasure to meet you all.”
“You’re Aspenstar, correct?” Blissfulstorm asked with a tilt of her head. “You seem very leader like so that must mean you’re Aspenstar! Oh... oh unless I’m totally wrong and you’re not! Oh no, I hope that doesn’t mean I insulted you or your leader! Fox dung, did I screw this up already?”

Tagnledcurls looked at his companion in equal horror, oh no had they gotten it wrong? He glanced back at whom he had thought was Aspenstar, feeling heat rise to his cheeks. Had he made them both just look like complete mouse-brains in front of the other NightClan cats. To be fair, NightClan cats didn't wear body paint like SunClan. In SunClan you could tell what rank a cat held at a glance by the symbols and colors that they wore, and all these cats looked the same. How they kept track of their social standings there was beyond him, but he supposed it was time to learn "Uh.. Yeah.... What she said!!!!" @ian
Aspenstar couldn't help but be slightly amused at the antics of the felines that were coming into her group. They, like Littlestar, didn't fit the ideas she had, stereotypes, really, of SunClan cats. They seemed kind enough, and Aspenstar was sure this couldn't go too badly, right? If nothing else, Phantomfox could probably beat the hell out of them if they decided to act a little fishy.
She let out a chuckle before nodding. "You're correct, no need to fret," she meowed, her mismatched eyes friendly. "This is Squirrelleap. I"m sure that there will be other NightClan cats that appear soon, although I told my Loyal Guard Captain to make himself scarce for the night so you all can settle in without having to deal with the nine hundred and seven questions I'm sure that he will have for you." She offered a half smile, gaze locked on both cats curiously. "I can't guarantee he listened to me, though, so if a lumbering hulk of fur comes up to you and starts interviewing you like you're a suspect in a murder, that's Phantomfox. And the ugly brown cat who waddles around is Pinesimmer, my ...." she shuddered. This was the first time she'd said it out loud. "My medicine cat." She couldn't help but look a little nauseous about the idea. "He's my brother, and he genuinely might be the worst cat I've ever had the displeasure of meeting. If he gives you any problems, come right to me and I'll take care of it." She paused for a moment. Who else was important to give them warning about? "The furry black cat that looks like she's always about to beat Pinesimmer up is Larkspur, my deputy. I imagine that you will be working as closely with her as you will with me, but I promise, she's been nothing but a blessing to the clan, so I'm sure you'll like her."
She then paused her introductory speech to consider the other things that the cats had said. She... wasn't fond of the idea of making prayer trees, whatever those were, but the kind look on her face didn't betray that at all. "That sounds lovely! I'm excited to see what you both bring to NightClan." Her words were genuine. Although she had been, and still to an extent was, incredibly nervous about the proposition of having two SunClan cats in NightClan for the foreseeable future, she was also excited for what the alliance could possibly mean for her group. "Would you like help carrying your things? We can go to camp and get you settled in."

You could almost see the relief wash over Tangledcurls as he realized that he hadn't made a mistake, and Aspenstar wasn't angry "That would be lovely" he chirped cheerfully "and don't worry, there are a lot of difficult cats in SunClan to, I'm sure we can handle it. At least you don't have a mountain of a cat" he picked up one of the bundles to pass it to the NightClan cats "Careful it is a lot heavier than they look"
