The Summer Solstice
This is the day that the Sun is the highest point in the sky, and one to give thanks and praise to the Sun for it's light. For it is the sun’s warmth that provides the light necessary for all living beings to thrive and prosper. Fire is used symbolically throughout the summer solstice in praise of the Sun God, to bring luck, and keep the darkness at bay. The clan wakes up early on the Summer Solstice to watch the Sun's movement throughout the day and this is a day SunClan feels particularly strong. They go outside together, paying tribute to their ancestors, who are visible and can converse with the living on this one day at the Burial Grounds. The Clan holds dances, where the clan paints their bodies and reenacts key moments in SunClan’s history, art festivals, holds contests, and the Janus tell stories of the clan’s past as they share tongues at an evening feast.


Point System
Points for the summer solstice will be calculated starting on June 1st until the day of the festival on June 21st. For every contribution you make in SunClan during this time you will receive 1 point, and every contribution you make on designated plot threads will be worth 2 points per contribution.

The roleplayer who scores the most points will be able to pick one of their SunClan characters to be featured in the ongoing SunClan plot, a custom piece of artwork of that character, and will get to ask one question that racer must answer regarding the current mystery plot, an a gif award made by ashestoashes to display where you wish. The roleplayer who scores the second highest number of points will get to pick one of their SunClan characters to make an important discovery regarding the current plot, custom artwork of that character making the discovery, and a gif created by ashestoashes to display where you wish. The roleplayer with the third highest number of points will get a custom artwork of any of your SunClan characters, and a gif created by ashes to ashes to display where you wish.


List of Events/Features(Will be updated as we go. New events will be added throughout the month of June)
1.For the month of June, we have disabled all open/private tags for threads. In order to encourage more interaction between the clan members, all threads created this month will be considered open. I encourage all of you to jump in and crash other people's threads. For example, a couple on a date could get interrupted by an unruly apprentice practicing their hunting skills. A staff meeting having a character rush into the den with some news, ext. I want everyone to build friendships, romances, and enemies with other characters in the clan to help with character development. Take a risk and roleplay with someone that you haven't had a chance to roleplay with yet.
