Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She told her apprentice to rise at sunrise for the start of their training. While Firepaw was certainly SummerClan through and through, Raystrike planned to apply a SunClan philosophy to his training. It meant less free time and a rigid schedule to follow, all beginning when the first of the Sun's rays broke the horizon. She herself was up just before and already made the short trek to her little preaching space in the camp. Whether Firepaw joined her or not in prayer was up to him, but he would do well with honor his ancestors every morning. At the very least he could meditate on his goals for the day.
Firepaw had big plans for training! He was going to be the very best apprentice, be attentive and diligent and well-rested, and he was so excited to get a good, fresh start in the morning that he, well, forgot to sleep at all. The vigor and liveliness of ceremonies never waned the night before, at least not for him. He chattered until well after dusk, only shutting up when he was forcibly removed from the den, at which point he started practicing his stances to impress Raystrike with, then moved on to some light jogging, then he thought that the dawning sunrays looked rather pretty. He was never usually up early enough to enjoy the view.
Wait. Sun rays?
"Oh no!" Remembering his aunt's instructuon, he raced over to her, barely able to settle down into a seated position without his momentum knocking him off his paws. Disheveled and out of breath, he managed a grin. "I'm here!"
At this point she was midway through her prayer and mildly displeased, but not mad. The Bengal knew better than to expect a kitten to be perfectly on time, but she still had hope that her brother taught them punctuality. Whatever, she could teach it to him now and it would never happen again. She finished her prayer and only then turned to face the apprentice. "I hope you enjoyed your sleep, featherhead." The other part of him becoming an apprentice: no more nice Raystrike! "Now, come sit here next to me. I'm going to keep praying to the Sun God, and you're going to meditate on your ancestors. Of course, if you want to join me in prayer I will teach you."
