Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Maybe Valeray should be happy everyone else had been forced to the same fate as him. Scout, whether they liked it or not. It certainly allowed him to be lazier. But the tom just seemed as bitter as always. Even the fact that his littermate Loelia hadn't return didn't appear to make him feel better. Good for her, daring to be happy. He wasn't so lucky, and he kicked a rock just a bit too big to move, and instead began cursing because he'd just basically punched a rock in anger, not expecting it to just stay still.
"Valeray!" Sapphira had been watching from a distance, as what was expected of a Mercenary during a hunt. The Scout goes on ahead and it was her job to watch for dangers. Unfortunately, she had not accounted for the fact that her brother may just be a danger to himself. In a flash she put herself between him and the rock and gave him a gentle shove to make sure he couldn't do that again... of course, she couldn't exactly stop him from going after other rocks, but it was a start, "What in the world are you doing?"

Valeray sat down hard, still cursing out the stupid rock for not moving. "THE ROCK DIDN'T MOVE!" He shouted in exasperation when he finally stopped swearing, though his paw throbbed painfully. He said it as if it were the most obvious thing in the world, that the rock should have gone flying, and not dared to hurt him instead.
"Rocks don't normally move..." Sapphira replied being a bit like a smart aleck, but her voice was still quite gentle, motherly, even. The Mercenary gently reached for Valeray's paw, concern in her crystal-colored eyes, "... It already looks quite swollen. We should get you to a Guider before the swelling gets too severe, just in case it's broken. You wouldn't have been the first cat to get your paw crushed by a rock and those who wait to seek help often suffer a limp for the rest of their lives."

Valeray pulled his paw away from his sister sharply, refusing to let her touch it. "Tell that to the tiny pebbles you can fling anywhere! I'm fine!" With that, he attempted to put weight on his paw.... and promptly screamed, then passed out from the pain of his own idiocy.
"Why are you like this?" Sapphira sighed as she prodded at her brother's shoulder, trying to wake him back up. She knew that the type of injury he had was far from life threatening and that Valeray was just being dramatic, so she wasn't that worried about him physically. She continued to prod him until she noticed sighs of alertness before beginning her lecture, "You need to get up. I'll let you lean on my shoulder and I'll even let you make up some story about hurting your paw in a valiant way, but, if you make me drag you all the way to the Chaman's quarters, I will personally seek out Commander Shule, tell her exactly what happened, and recommend you for demotion to Auxiliary due to sheer stupidity and unnecessary theatrics."
