Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Brilliance had heard her mother was leading SunClan again. And yet, she hadn't gone back. Her mother almost certainly knew she was alive. Well, probably. Not that Brilliance had actually contacted her... Perhaps Littlestar didn't know after all. Still, as the she-cat set her prey down on the fresh kill pile, she wondered if she should go make a visit. For some reason, it didn't seem like a pleasurable idea. And even more so, that lack of excitement made her a tad guilty.
"Brilliance, if you don't get up soon you will be late for your patrol," Sentinel Havilah always took it upon himself to make sure that the barracks were clear and empty by this time of day and, odds were, this was not the first time that he'd gotten on the SunClan she-cat's case for being a bit slow to the draw.
Yes he was early, but to him on time was late and early was on time.
"Get up and get ready. I'll meet you in the main cavern."

Brilliance glanced from the fresh kill pile to Havilah and back. For one, he wasn't her Superior. Two, wasn't he supposed to be guarding someone, or like, yelling at Auxiliaries? "Blind as ever, I see." She quipped, eyeing him and rolling her eyes. "I was just dropping off prey, mister tail in a twist."
Havilah, for the record, had certainly not seen Brilliance deposit the prey, which meant he was not so sure he believed her. Either way he brushed off her insult like dust on his paws and gave her a stern look.
"I don't know how the leaders of SunClan run their cult, but the level of disrespect you demonstrated just now will not be tolerated in the Regime. Drop and give me twenty push-ups for the insult."
"Ooor, how about you choke on your tongue. I think that would be far more entertaining." Brilliance countered, not for a second actually listening to his order. "You talk tough for someone who clearly doesn't have the skill or strength for his rank." She eyed him up and down with a scoff.

In walked the trouble maker herself, Cadet Topaz Monesi's green eyes twinkled with curiosity at Brilliance. Then Topaz's laugh rang out like a bell hearing the cheek the other cat gave to Havilah. "What a sharp tongue you have there, I think I like you already." The small calico she cat sat down watching the two cats interact with one another.
"Excuse me? I---" Havilah began to counter Brilliance, his temper flaring as it so easily did, only to be cut off by the laughter of Cadet Topaz. Some of his rage dissipated upon her appearance, but not enough for the auburn-furred tom to forget Brilliance's rudeness, "It doesn't matter if I'm right or wrong. Friend or foe. I am your superior and you must do as I say. Drop and give me twenty."
"And Cadet Topaz..."
"Unless you'd like to join her, you'd best go back to whatever task was assigned to you this morning. I doubt you've finished it already."
Brilliance laughed after Havilah's insistence. "I'm not an Auxiliary, and you're not Scout Superior, so no, you're not. Want to try that again? Maybe pick on someone you ACTUALLY get to order around instead of making yourself look like an idiot. Clearly one of the qualifications for Sentinel isn't brains, because you're showing that you lack intellect here, especially for being Regime born." She lifted a paw to knock lightly against her own head, not for a second wavering in her mocking of the tom.

Cadet Topaz got to her paws, "Now now dear Havilah you're allowing her to get under your skin too easily. Besides I got the job done in a good enough manner." Meaning yes it was done but knowing Topaz in a half assed way that barely works. "Perhaps I came around to see how you were and if you needed help but apparently it looks like you totally have it under control."
Havilah was a Sentinel. Not the highest rank in the Regime, but it certainly put him in a position of authority over both Brilliance and Cadet Topaz. They were just regular members. He was above them and deserved the respect that neither she-cats were giving him at the moment.
"A solider does not question the orders of her superior. I may not be THE Superior, but I am superior to you in the hierarchy of the Regime," He growled through gritted teeth, "Both of you, give me twenty push-ups and I will forgive the insubordination. This is your last chance to fix things before more drastic action is taken."

"Being a special rank doesn't automatically mean I have to listen to your word. When you're Scout Superior, try that again." Brilliance answered, taking a step past Havilah, the large she-cat intentionally hitting hitting her shoulder to his as she blatantly dared to walk away from him. "If you want someone to do twenty, do it yourself."

Topaz quirked her eyebrow in a questioning glance, "Interesting Havilah...see I came here to help you. Take the precious extra time I had to see if you needed my help but then you call insubordination on me? How cruel of you Sentinel. Clearly you got this here and don't need my help. So with that good day to you Havilah. I won't cause you anymore "insubordination" as you call it but perhaps another cat would see it as a helpful extra paw. Farewell then." With the the small she cat gave a long stretch and walked away as her small frame swayed one way and then the other. He got this, after all he was Sentinel Havilah who didn't need Cadet Topaz's help.
"I believe the two of you owe me twenty," SCOUT SUPERIOR Havilah said with a smug look on his face. He didn't normally lower himself to drama such as this, but something about Brilliance especially drove him crazy and, well, Topaz was there and would have to own up to it, too!

"Is that so my dear Scout Superior? Why would that be? I don't recall having caused any issues as of late. Perhaps this promotion has gone to your head...are you trying to flex your new position on me? My my, abusing your power on a lowly cadet like myself? Bravo. Oh wait a moment...perhaps you are trying to impress me? Sorry but I am not interested in a cat like you. Good try though, maybe some other she cats would be impressed and seduced by that ego and new found power you have. Interesting to see where this all takes you. As I recall once again, however I have been nothing but a sweet perfect little angel. Therefore don't have any punishments that needed to be settled." The small calico gave a long stretch before getting to her paws. "I do need to be going or else I won't be able to get the oh so many important tasks done that are head of me. If you keep distracting me long enough like this it would only give you a real excuse to, hehe, punish me. I'm just not the punishing type if you catch my drift." Topaz gave a mischievous wink obviously being a brat but not breaking any real rules. She can't be punished for a crime that wasn't there after all.
