Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
The two looked at each other for a moment longer than was probably normal before he let out an awkward cough. It had been a minute since the two had interacted directly; he couldn't help but admit that he'd been spending time with Celestialpaw more than his other friends. And then, by the time he was able to find time, Raggedpaw was gone, or at least, he was pretty sure she was, since it had been a few days since he'd last seen her.
"So..... hows training?" he asked with a flick of his ear. There was so much the two could talk about, but it was always good to start slow. "Obviously about as well as mine. Can you believe we weren't promoted again ?"
"I can believe it," Coralpaw moaned, miserably lounged out in her nest. She hadn't moved the whole morning--she'd barely moved at all since Raggedpaw had left, except to go to the bathroom and bully the younger apprentices into fetching her food. That was the one perk of being such an old apprentice, she supposed. "What's the point? We're all going to die in some freakin', I dunno, a fight with WinterClan or Primal Instinct or the Radical Republic or whatever and die, and nobody's gunna remember me. I mean, us."
He flicked his ear. Apparently Coralpaw was in precisely the exact mood that Celestialpaw had warned him about when he said he was going to go pay one of his best friends a visit. Listening to her speak, the tom found himself sitting next to her, placing his tail on her shoulder, something he was half sure she would claw him for. "Does there gotta be a point?" he asked, his gaze surprisingly serious for the tom. "Does it matter if we get remembered? Isn't it better to just exist than spend your time worrying about a legacy?"
Coralpaw groaned and buried her face in her nest. "You're not making me want to kill myself any less, Servalpaw, you know that?" Sure, maybe living was pointless and there was nothing worth creating a legacy, but all that had been true when Raggedpaw had still been in SpringClan and it had been a lot more bearable then. "Why did she do that, Servalpaw? Should I have just lied to her to make her stay? Or would that've been worse?"
Servalpaw winced a little. It wasn't every day that one of your best friends admitted that they wanted to kill themselves, even if it was probably mostly a joke. He opened his mouth to say something but closed it again when she spoke again. His head tilted to its side, and he let out a deep sigh. "I don't know why she did that," he admitted with a blink. "I didn't expect her to do that..." There was a hint of sadness in his gaze. Although Raggedpaw was... frankly awful to him more than she wasn't, he still loved her. "You did the right thing, though. If she wanted to go... if she wanted to go she would have never listened if you tried to make her stay, right? It would have only delayed her, right?"
Coralpaw regretted not harassing the apprentices into building her an even deeper nest, because she'd buried her face in it as far as she could and it still didn't feel deep enough. "So what if I only delayed her," she groaned, muffled by the sheer amount of moss and bedding surrounding her. "It would've given me more time to figure out what the hell I was supposed to tell her about...well, I don't wanna talk about it. Really Servalpaw, I don't know why the hell you're even trying, you know I don't listen to you when I'm depressed. Although that's mostly just because you have such lousy ideas."
