The young kitten found his way towards the light at the end of the nursery, tail lifted in curiosity as the day began and he set off on another adventure. It had been weeks since he had last seen his father, the older cat telling him to stay there to be safe. The other cats around here had found him, and despite their initial trepidation, welcomed him in, taking him as one of their own.
Moonkit could appreciate that despite his young age. They had given him a name he wasn't exactly used to, but he hadn't wanted to correct them. Aleksy didn't seem to fit into their names, and well, he didn't plan to stand out too much. That had always been drilled into his head; blend in, smile more. make sure the others didn't see you as a threat. He didn't really understand any of that–at five moons, he was too young to truly understand anything–but he had just gone along, like his father would've said.
Regardless, he found himself trotting around, ears perked and eyes bright, looking for anything and everything in a new environment like this.
A small apprentice makes his way out of the den where the rest stayed, stretching out his long black legs. He was an interesting colored cat for Nightclan, a cream base with black socks and points on his face. Puddlepaw was also slightly cross-eyed, giving him a dorky look. He’d just hardly made his way out of the nursery, he was likely only about a moon into his training.
He’d heard of the two new kittens, Moonkit and the now named Sagekit. Scanning the camp with pure, sad blue eyes, they rest on the curious kit. Tilting his head slightly, Puddlepaw decides in this moment he’d talk to him. He pads up to him, realizing how quickly he’d grown since being out of the nursery. Puddlepaw felt shy, and disproportionate to the cat in front of him. “Uh, hi!” He says, tail flicking easily back and forth. “I’m Puddlepaw. We’re probably gonna be in the same training class when you become an apprentice.” He smiles in greeting, sitting down to feel less... giant.

Moonkit was still uncertain of where everything was–there was a lot to pick up and Sagekit wasn't exactly the best guide around camp anyway–but suddenly, he found himself speaking to an apprentice. Puddlepaw? That was a pretty cool name. "I'm...Moonkit!" The young kitten still had trouble adjusting to his new name, one so different from the name he had been given at birth. Still, his bright eyes glowed with curiosity. "You're an apprentice? That's so cool, do you really get to go out and hunt all the time? and learn how to fight? Have you fought off anyone yet?"
