Plot Part 1 - Shina, the Ambassador Proxy, has been gone for several months. While no one knows where he went, it also hasn't been an issue since the League has been recovering from the construction. But now that things are slowing down, and the different districts are starting to put down their roots, the Ambassadors district has found themselves vital yet thrown to the side. Intentionally or otherwise, they've gotten the short end of the stick repeatedly, yet have been swamped with work due to how necessary they are. The cracks are beginning to form. ~~~
The soon to be summer wind was blowing harshly through the city, Newly planted trees howled as some of their leaves were plucked by the hand of a God of Wind. The rattling of fences was like a symphony as a white cat slipped down the alley. Or, was stopped right in the front of the alley. For the show they put on, the League was struggling. Some had chosen to go back underground, to keep waiting things out. Others thought of the possible collapse of said tunnels and took their chances outside with the dogs and the animal control. Granted, it wasn't as bad as it was. For once, there was a good amount of food going around. Though amidst the few actual pieces of prey were ones in half that were ripped from unlucky loners and rogues, cans and bowls of kittypets that went hungry tonight and far too salty fish that some were able to persuade from the hands of twolegs.
Rosalia let out a sigh as they dropped their rare squirrel in the middle of the dwindling group of Ambassadors before backing up to join the few pushed towards the edge. The fur on their back was whipped by the wind, and they let out a dry laugh once it stopped. "Edge again, huh? I thought one of you was gonna be faster this time." They laughed, but there was exhaustion behind it. Really, they were all exhausted. Between being the main ones teaching the others how to work with rogues, to collecting food from the kittypets as a payment for leaving them alone to even hunting themselves because everyone had to nowadays, they hadn't been able to get the back of the alleyway for a week. Where there it was at least warm and filled with the raucous voices of their clanmates, here it was cold no matter how much they huddled together. Even after Rosalia's laugh, there was a silence between the Ambassadors, everyone just staring at their paws as Rosalia joined them. Their stomach grumbled, but Rosalia didn't make a move. First come, first serve had been drilled into their minds and they were definitely last. Something funny must have happened, as Funk E'tan's laughter echoed through the alleyway, though it only filled the despair in their hearts.

The patched tabby she-cat felt the hunger like everyone else but refused to acknowledge it. Pandora was stronger than this...the League needed them. The exhaustion clung to Pandora worse than ever. With everything going on plus the lack of sleep from her night terrors it was only a matter of time before she would collapse. But she wouldn't show it. She wouldn't allow it. Refused to. Her thoughts were weary and full of many different worries and issues going on, problems to fix when she heard the laugh. She didn't know how to react to it. It didn't make her happy hearing this and if anything triggered something deep within the she cat. Her copper eyes flashed with the emotions she felt even if her lips remained closed. Locked tight. Instead she looked around to the cats around her curious what they were thinking...how they felt.
Acacia Blair loved being in Primal Instinct for her family. Lorelei was here, Sen was here, as well as Innocentia and the list went on and on. However... the gnawing hunger in her stomach reminded here of better times spent in other Clans. She'd never been this hungry in SwiftClan or SummerClan and, when things started to take a turn in SunClan, she left. Primal Instinct was, for all intents and purposes, in just as bad a spot as the desert cult. Should she stay and hope for better days? Or leave a start over somewhere else, as she'd done time and time again in her short life?
"Good job, Rosalia," She said, interrupting the uncomfortable silence. She wasn't trying to start a conversation, though. She just wanted to end the silence.

guess who didn't have this bookmarked
Rosalia had already started drawing imaginary circles in the concrete with their paw before Acacia Blair spoke up. Their ears burned when she did though, and she doubled over her transparent drawing so no one would see the redness forming on their cheeks. A few dry laughs around them only made them more embarrassed. They suddenly straightened up and turned to say something, anything to the calico when a larger figure approached the group.
All eyes could fall on Lorelei easily. She was always an imposing figure, mostly because no one could really figure out what she was going to do next. Sure, they had been hunting too, but Punishment had it easy with the complete lack of prisoners to torture. Or maybe harder. A few were going stir crazy, but Lorelei's odd eyes reflected something more mature as she leaned over Acacia's shoulder to drop a fish in front of her daughter. It was a good size too, someone must have given the fisherman the smolder. "Hey now! Don't make that face. I had one of the other hunters wash it." Lorelei joked in a grandiose voice as she kissed Acacia on the top of her head. But there was only one fish, and all sorts of eyes stared at it longingly. She held it for a few moments before stepping away to give them space, not seeming bothered by the various pairs of eyes that followed her. Jadie
Kassandra-kun owned two of those eyes. But this was all she knew, so she held the naive hope things would get better. I mean, they already had. They went to homeless and starving, to homeless and not starving as much. But her stomach growled just looking at the fish. She hated the taste but she wanted it so bad. Looking around, she turned to her brother Altair, "Hey, let's go up and see if we can find some food?" complacentdevil
This was honestly nothing Nereus wasn't used too. He had gone without food for much longer than this, yet his short pelt made him look like he was doing much worse than the others. The gray tom had been odd lately, a nervous energy taking him over. While he was always awkward, he wasn't always this jumpy. Just hearing the trainees talk made him jump. He looked back at the pair through his peripheral. He had basically been put in as a replacement proxy until another was chosen. But he also had none of the authority the others did. The dense silence, he knew he had to do something about it. It was an odd moment to smile, but what else could be done. "What if tomorrow, we set up a rotation? If we have cats working close to they alleyway, they can come early to get us a better spot?" HoneystormCleaverashestoashes
Acacia Blair smiled up at her mother, glad that she was here not just because she added to the meager pile, but because she was simply a comfort to have around. Her unpredictability and imposing height never once made Acacia nervous.
"Ew mom, thanks for cleaning off the fish and all, but you just had it in your mouth and now it's all over my fur," She joked, but she wasn't really angry, "But I guess I can forgive you."

Altair-kun watched as a fish was just about gifted to one of the cats amoungst them, and yet the rest of them still had rumbling stomachs. He had been seen very sparingly around their normal haunt, instead choosing to relax in the graveyard when he wasn't be tasked with something or bothered by someone else. The sound of his sister's voice was calming, yet a stark reminder he wasn't alone right now. He himself had had a mouse earlier, surely nothing worth sharing, even if he felt like sharing in the first place. He gave her a quick nod, rising to his paws from where he rested in a swift movement, pausing only to listen to their temporary head's surely bright idea for a second, rolling his eyes as he spoke with a dry voice, "Lets get out of here Kassandra."
