Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Larkspur's entire life had been a hurricane within the last few moons, and she felt as though she'd lived four lives within them. She'd gone from being just an everyday clan member, doing everyday duties, to suddenly becoming close to Aspenstar, to jumping into the position of deputy. Of course, the black she-cat wouldn't trade any of this for anything, but it was rather crazy that so much had happened so quick.
To clear her mind, she'd decided to talk a walk into the forest. She made her way to the pool under the waterfall, watching the turbulent water rush over the edge. The roar drowned out all of her thoughts for a moment, and she releases a deep breath. Larkspur's eyes suddenly snap open, the smell of an unknown cat surrounding her. She quickly stands, ready to attack if necessary.

As it happened, the cat was only Ahava Vairocana, though once she stood and turned towards the scent, she would realize she was basically nose to nose with the medicine cat, the black eyed she-cat with her invisible pupils simply staring at Larkspur in that eerie way she always looked at others. Curious, but far too calm even in apparently tense situations. "Taking a moment to yourself?"
Larkspur takes a quick step back, allowing her racing heart to calm. She should've known it was just Cana, she'd had to visit the medicine cat a time or two before for stubborn ticks that she couldn't get herself, the perks of long fur. "Hi, sorry." She dips her head in quick embarrassment. "Yes. I haven't come out by myself for awhile." This was true. Larkspur had needed a moment without stress, but she was so on edge this had set her off again. She hoped Cana wouldn't take offense to it.

Cana didn't seem bothered. But that wasn't entirely unusual. The she-cat was always unnervingly still and calm, as if she were more statue than feline. "No surprise. You've had a rather busy time, recently."
"I suppose so." She releases a nervous laugh, her blue eyes glancing out into the darkness. "Do you think it'll get any easier from here?" Larkspur of course meant the deaths, the hardships they'd faced in the short time she'd been deputy. But it could also mean her job, her place in the clan. Her love life... or lack thereof? Everything was confusing.
"Nothing ever gets easier. You simply get more experienced in facing it." Cana answered sitting herself next to Larkspur. "Which, in a way, makes it easier, since you're more capable, but there will always be things that hit hard, no matter how much you've faced before."
Larkspur offers a ghost of a smile, quick and fleeting. “I feel like a newborn.” The she-cat admits, releasing some of the tension she held in her shoulders. Having that said into the air between them, out of her mind made her feel a million times lighter. “Everything is so different and new than what I’m used to. Not to mention, how in the world do you make it seem like you’re a safe place when everyone keeps disappearing?” She shakes her head, again, tension returning. “I wouldnt back down for anything.” Larkspur says determinedly, her gaze strong. “But I want answers. And I’m afraid they’re not coming.”
