Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Well, the Apprentices' Den certainly wasn't getting any smaller; Ratstar couldn't help but give an exasperated chuckle as the kits below him practically shook with excitement for the ceremony - while behind them the older apprentices were trying (and Sunpaw failing) to hold back groans for lost personal space. But even still, the Summerclan leader couldn't help but feel a bit of pride for his Deputy's first litter. Devotedcrow and Orchiddrop had gone through so much together to get to this day; they certainly deserved it. Crownedpaw already was bounding up to his father, rather than his new mentor, to boast about his new name and position.
The reactions among the clan were certainly mixed, from Southernskies admiring the anxious new upstarts to Satinshore ignoring the event entirely in favor of catching the latest gossip, from Firepaw charging right up to Auntie Raystrike and Sunpaw stalking right up to her father. "We need another den," she vocalized, staring hotly up at Ratstar, fluffy tail lashing behind her. "There are too many of them," she leered at the Crorchid litter, "and now there's not enough space for me to have my three nests. It's not fair!" GidgetGal
There was no intervening where Sunpaw was concerned, so Devotedcrow instead turned to matters he could control: Congratulating his children. Leaning into Orchiddrop, he purred as their son reached them, nuzzling Crownedpaw. "You better behave for Brittlefrost," he told the young tom, "She's a bright warrior with a lot to teach you. The same goes for the rest of you with your mentors." He turned to the other four of his kits, minus Firepaw who was too stoked to be apprenticed that he didn't want to be caught dead being lame with his sappy parents, but what was a hard stare softened to display the pride he felt swelling in his chest. sunlightGidgetGalNovabiyuu ☆彡 @ian
"Auntie Ray!" Firepaw barely stopped himself in time to avoid barreling into his aunt. He was an apprentice now; he had an image to uphold! Even so, there were mismatched splatters of paint across his body and his fur was tufted at all angles from a long, sleepless night, looking distinctly unkempt in comparison to his siblings. "When do we start?!" stardance

Fallenpaw was excited to be promoted as an apprentice, but was thrown off by the fact he was an apprentice for garden keeping than being a warrior. Both of his siblings would be warriors...was he not good enough to be a warrior? Was he only good enough to be a keeping the territory pretty? What he didn't realize was that deep down a weight had been lifted. Garden Keeping was important in its role and that he would be so much happier in it...he just didn't realize it yet. Still he went out searching for his mentor curious as to what this other cat was like. Honeystorm
"You three are growing up too fast..." Wispycloud purred as she gave Bluepaw, Oakpaw and Fallenpaw a lick on the top of their heads. The silver-furred she-cat was practically glowing with pride as she watched her children begin the next stage of their lives, but she was also kind of sad. She and Lostelm had been their primary authority figures for their entire lives, but now that had shifted, "Bluepaw, promise me you'll mind your mentor and get plenty of rest every night! Oakpaw, remember that if you are ever afraid your father and I will always be there to help you no matter what, that goes for all of you! Oh, and Fallenpaw, make sure you groom at every chance you get! You're got my fur and I've got my father's fur which means every leaf, twig and pebble is going to get stuck in your pelt no matter how hard you try to avoid it..."
She continued to ramble on for a few more minutes before stopping herself short and blushing, "... Sorry, sorry, I'm just so proud of you I can't stand it!"
Lostelm was practically crying with pride as he teaches the ceremonies. Out of the kits’ parents, he was definitely the more emotional one but also the first to show them off and tell everyone who will here that he’s proud of his children and all they do. The tom pulled his two of three kits close, practically squishing them in his attempt to show them his pride. “You guys are going to do amazing!”
Oakpaw was blushing at his parents attention, squished into his dad’s side. He knew as a kit he’d been a bit of a baby so he was determined to change that as an apprentice, but...it was nice to hear how proud his parents were. “I’ll be brave mom. Don’t worry.”
"Oh I'm sure you will be, Oakk-paw. Man, that's going to be hard to get used to," Wispycloud purred, giving Oakpaw another lick right on the top of his head. She would have to take every chance she could to smother him in affection because before long she knew he wouldn't like it. Getting affection from mom was embarrassing, she knew that, but she just could not contain herself, "It's OK to be afraid sometimes, though. Your dad and I will always be there for you when you need us most."

Bluepaw was equally as excited as her siblings were to get promoted. She couldn't wait to make their parents proud. She bounced over to the other side of her father and squished into him and nodded at her mother's words. "I will mama I promise" she purred
