Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Chestnutheart looked at her former leader / friend's startled expression. Her smile grew bigger regardless of the pain she felt deep down. "You could say that." She replied to his observation. Her smile died down a bit and formed into a more serious expression "There is something I need-" Her sentence was cut off when she noticed her former apprentice rushing towards her. The serious expression was replaced with a smile again as she turned to greet Weaselpaw. "Its nice to see you too Weaselpaw."

Rhymingsilence padded after her with a small, reassuring smile. He knew how hard this would be for her and how difficult it was for all of the clan, but he wanted Lavenderbreeze to know that he had her back. "Thank you, but take all of the time you need," he said, not quite ready to face dropping off his own offering. As he joined her side, the warrior noticed a starry silhouette over her shoulder and he had to do a double-take to confirm what--or who--it was he was seeing. Chestnutheart? He'd never been particularly close to their last medicine cat, but seeing her here had him in awe. Losing her had been a mystery and now the pieces started to fall into place.
Never participating in festivals like this, the sight of a StarClan cat wasn't something he'd been prepared for, but he could only bring himself to stare for so long before turning his startled gaze back to Lavenderbreeze. Maybe this meant they'd be visited by others? Perhaps, Lavenderbreeze would be able to see the kits again too. With that in mind, he nudged her gently with his nose, eager to see if his prediction would come true. seeker
"Thank you," she smiles, her voice soft, almost trembling. She wasn't ready for this. Lavenderbreeze had forced herself to face her shame and her guilt, but now she was starting to feel the lead feeling in her paws. Having the tom by her side helped immensely, she wouldn't have been able to do this alone. She catches Rhymingsilence's startled glance, but by the time she looked back, Chesnutheart was no longer there. Her brow furrows and she hoped she hadn't said the wrong thing.
The touch of his nose brings her reassurance to trek on. Although the grounds were only a few taillegths away, it felt like miles. When they finally reach their destination, Lavenderbreeze sets her dandelion offering down, taking a few steps back. She sits, closing her eyes tightly "I'm sorry," she whispers, voice hardly louder than a whisper. "I'm so so sorry." Flurryofstars
Somehow, Legendarydemise found himself grinning at the she-cat's awkwardness. Vixensong always seemed to hold that power over him, and while he wasn't sure if she was just distracting him from his pain or actually helping him through it, he found that he quite enjoyed it either way. It was only after she stopped talking that he realized he had been staring at her, and, with heat rising to his face, turned back to the pine needles.
"Uh, yes, that's... that's right," he stumbled over his words, mentally beating himself up. Swiftly, he picked back up the pine needles, waving his tail slightly at Vixensong to let her know that she could follow, if she wanted to, as he got up to make his offering. Nova
The serious expression on Chestnutheart caught Hystericstar off guard, cutting off whatever he had been planning to say next. Sure, he often saw something similar whenever she would scold him for being out in the cold, but the tone that she had used was completely different, causing him to actually latch onto what she was saying - until Weaselpaw appeared beside them. The hairless tom was too confused to be properly annoyed at the interruption, and couldn't quite take his eyes off of Chestnutheart and her... off-putting appearance.
"Where have you been?" he decided to ask. Perhaps the answer was related to what the medicine cat had been going to say, but even if it wasn't, he was sure that it was something Weaselpaw had been wondering as well. @dot complacentdevil
The question had been straight forward and one she hadn’t been expecting so soon. She felt slightly panicked due to their surroundings. In her mind there were too many ears within hearing distance. “I will answer that question later. If we are to discuss that. The less ears the better. I had important business that I needed to take care of and I’m slightly ashamed of the outcome.” Her voice low so only Weaselpaw and Hystericstar could hear. Her answer was not giving away the mystery behind her disappearance and her death.
(Btw if either of you want a separate thread so we are not dominating this one I can happily make it)

The now medicine cat gave Hystericstar an apologetic and sheepish look as the leader took the conversation with Chestnutheart back over, glad that he wasn't the only one to get to experience this. He nodded at his mentor's words, understanding the call of mysterious business, after all, it was one of the reasons he was even here. He was saddened to know that the call led her to her demise, though it was cut with the sweet thought that he was able to see her at times like this, and the knowledge that she was amoung the stars. He only hoped that his further ventures wouldn't drive him to the same ends.
Hystericstar's eyes narrowed at the vague reply that his former medicine cat gave him, and he finally took his gaze off of Chestnutheart to glance around the Burial Grounds. It seemed like everyone else was too preoccupied with either offering their gifts for the deceased or bonding with their (still quite alive) clanmates. It was likely that the only ones who would notice or care that they had snuck off would be the Aurulents - Poisonrush always seemed to keep an eye on the leader during festivals, and Hystericstar couldn't suppress the surprise that the tom hadn't already made his way over to tell him to socialize with the clan more. Between Poisonrush and Chestnutheart, it seemed those closest to him really liked to nag about something he does.
"It sounds like we need to talk, then," he replied after a bit, settling his eerie golden gaze back on Chestnutheart.
