Emiko pranced into the tunnels without a care for the fact older cats of the Regime, those who would remember her massacre, would likely not want her there. Moreover, she'd be thrown in prison if cats actually knew her, but luckily, that was some time ago, so any character who hadn't been there to be witness to her serial killer adventures of late 2019, they wouldn't recognize her. Her scent even was of the League now. Buuut, she wanted to come visit, rules be damned. She hadn't seen Havilah in a long time, and her dad was apparently in the regime now! It was about time she had a chat with him, and the she-cat skipped around, humming as she searched for anyone who might be familiar.
( Jadie Pinging you in case you wanna join in this one. c; )
"Emiko!" Havilah seemingly materialized out of thin air and barreled into the much smaller she-cat, setting off all kinds of sparks of static electricity, so powerful in fact that it was almost painful. An untamed elemental, not that Emiko knew anything about that, of course, "Have you come to rejoin the Regime?"
The auburn-furred tom had grown considerably since she'd last seen him. No longer was he a boy but a man, every bit is lean and mean as his father had been, complete with those same gilded green eyes and resting face of irritation. Of course, seeing his adoptive mother softened his expression considerably, almost like a veil had been lifted. No one got to see the real Havilah but Emiko, "I've missed you."

Painful or not for the tiny former Guider turned serial killer, she was beaming at how big her adopted son had become. A giggle escaped her as she flashed him a too innocent grin for the cat she was. Emiko gently cupped his cheek with a paw, a soft purr emanating from her throat. "I've missed you too. You've gotten so big, too! Surely, you've grown triple the size you were last time I saw you. I remember when you were my size!"
"You say that every time I see you," Havilah joked, lowering his head down slightly so Emiko could more easily cup his cheek, "A lot has changed since you were last here, though. Commander Shule," He said her name tersely, making it clear that she was not in his good graces, "Has restructured the Regime considerably and is about the move the entire group to DayClan of all places. Sometimes I wonder if she has bees for brains..."
"Well it's true! You've gotten so strong, I couldn't be prouder!" Emiko purred, watching Havilah's sour attitude towards Commander Shule. "Don't let her get to you, she doesn't deserve that kind of power over your emotions." It was a rather wise piece of advice from a rather insane sort of feline. "It's easier to just work around her ways anyway, arguing directly with one's Superior rarely goes well."
Emiko giggled at the idea. "Besides the obvious one to sour your mood, how've you been? How are your siblings?" Emiko didn't know the fate of the rest of them yet, a fact that was likely to put a damper on what could have been an otherwise relatively lighthearted conversation.
Havilah's half-smile faltered the moment Emiko mentioned his siblings. His forest green eyes grew hazy and he pulled away from her, no longer finding comfort in her embrace.
"Foxbane's poison finished what it started," He finally replied solemnly, "Breasel and I were the only ones left for many moons... but she didn't survive this past winter."
I'm all alone now, he wanted to add, but Havliah had enough sense to keep that to himself. He didn't want Emiko to think him weak.
Emiko frowned slightly, looking genuinely sad for the loss of all her other children. Though it registered who he blamed, and she gave a slight giggle that might be passed off for confusion. "Foxbane's poison...?" She asked, seeming strangely amused by that suggestion for some reason.
Havilah's rarely spoke of the specifics that lead to the death of his family. The wound was still open and it made him feel... vulnerable, weak, even. So, he always avoided it, that is, for most all cats except for those he considered his true family.
"Don't... don't play dumb, Emiko," He stumbled over his words slightly then cleared his throat, his expression troubled, "You know what I'm talking about: Foxbane poisoned my family's meal that day..."
"Is that fact, or just what everyone assumed? Because that's not exactly how I remember it." There was an implication there, though whether Havilah would quite catch it remained to be seen, as Emiko waved him to follow her. "How about we sit and have a chat, huh? It's long overdue."
Havilah was a sharp cat and, even though he was willing to be vulnerable around his adoptive mother in ways he seldom was with any other cat, the slight change in tone, the way her eyes shifted just a fraction... something was up and, whatever it was, he feared was a bombshell.
"I don't..." His heart rate began to pick up slightly and he found himself with no further words for his meek refusal. Whether he wanted to or not, he felt as if he had no other option other than to follow Emiko, so that is exactly what he did, "No other cat could have done it, Emiko. Kyros and Idylla were the best of the best among the Regime. The only cat who would have wanted them dead must have been an outsider."
It was funny how such an angry tom like Havilah could still hold onto childish concepts such as perfection. Even as he spoke it seemed as if he was just reciting a fairytale not history. Close, but not close enough.
She led him around to a larger cavern, sitting herself on a small shelf so that her tiny self could be at proper eye height as she turned to peer at him with a curious gaze, smiling in such way that would unnerve just about anyone. "Well, I suppose that's where you're wrong. You're overstating the importance of those two. They were merely there to be picturesque, nothing is ever as pretty as it appears. I just made it that much more obvious." The bengal half covered her mouth as she tittered, trying to suppress her glee at remembering the event. "I wouldn't give that boring old Priestess credit for my handiwork, Havilah. You were much better in my care than theirs, anyway. Who would've wanted you and your siblings to grow up as stuffy as them? Would you really want to be a clone of Shule?"
A large range of emotions crossed Havilah's face. First anger, then confusion, a second of sadness and then finally a full on rage. The air around the auburn-furred tom began to crackle and even the stone Emiko was sitting on was almost humming with supernatural energy. A storm was brewing, one fueled by an enraged elemental after every single one of his triggers was activated.
"Your handiwork..." Havilah finally said, his voice a whisper. He'd built his entire life on hating Foxbane and SunClan. Revenge against them drove almost every one of his actions and achievements. It had been what filed the void that his family's death had left, that and the love he had for his adoptive mother, Emiko. He'd always defended her, forgiven her. She was known for murdering slews of his own regimemates but he'd found some way to justify it that he couldn't explain, all because she was there for him when no one else was and he loved her for it...
... but now everything had been flipped upside down. If Emiko was the villain... then who were his allies...?
The thought caused Havilah's brain to short-circuit and in the moment all he could do was lift a paw and slam Emiko into the wall behind her, holding her up by her throat. His forest green eyes were practically feral, a totally different cat from just moments before.
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!?"
Emiko would have been able to make out tears forming at the corner of both his eyes for only a split second before she was blasted with the full force of Havilah's electric element.

Emiko had expected a bad reaction, but what she hadn't expected was this level, though the she-cat still wore a serene smile as he spoke, despite wriggling slightly so that Havilah was holding her more by the shoulder than her actual throat. "Because I love you." Was all she was able to get out before her words erupted into a scream as pain coursed through the she-cat's small body.
Her words had no apparent effect on Havilah, at least not right away. He held her down until she stopped screaming and only pulled away himself when his paws felt number from the sheer amount of power he'd just funneled into his adoptive mother. Her stumbled a few paces away and leaned against the stone wall, his vision blurring and his breathing ragged at best.
"That's not love, mother," He rasped, his voice barely a whisper. He didn't know if Emiko could hear him or not but it didn't really matter as he drifted into unconsciousness.
There was one thing most cats were probably smart enough to avoid, and that was random crackling of electricity... Luckily, in the underground, there wasn't anything conductive, so other than the strange effect of cats in the vicinity having raised fur... by the time they were found, there wasn't any danger. Of course, that didn't stop Shule from being overly cautious, and she had the pair situated in a offshooting tunnel away from the normal cats. And, naturally, she had to drag a few cats with to help discuss what was going on. In this case, that was Sean, because this was both relevant to family, and he was a Superior, Kotori, as Emiko's father, and Braelynn, as this seemed like a job for the Chaman. And maybe Valerian, the timeline is wonky here.
( Faithashestoashes come join in. xD Timeline is a bit funky, but uniqcrim if ya wanna join in with Valerian, go ahead. )
Commander Shule sighed. "We don't know exactly. No one was party to... whatever caused this argument, and neither of them have woken up yet to tell us exactly what's going on. What we do know is Emiko showed up, something set Havilah off, and he used his element on her, and passed out sometime after she fell unconscious, likely due to overusing his own ability. Emiko isn't in good shape, I don't know when, or if, she'll wake up. She's considerably smaller than your average cat, so his element was harsher on her than it would be on a normal feline. It doesn't seem like she fought him, meaning she let herself take the brunt of his anger." This wasn't good, no matter what way you spun it. Havi was dangerous, at the very least. "As for Emiko, beyond this particular instance, she's wanted in the Regime for murder. She went on a spree some seasons back, killed a few members before escaping. Which is a bridge to cross if she comes to."
Halivah stirred slightly in his sleep, a low growl raising in the back of his throat as he relived a familiar nightmare. When he shifted little sparks sprung from his paws as his element activated unconsciously. This was something that had never happened before, suggesting either his element had grown stronger or he was so highly emotion that he'd lost total control, the latter being more likely. Regardless, it was potentially dangerous to touch him in this state if you were any cat other than Dusky.
"I think we'll be needing Dusky too, after all. I was hoping we wouldn't." Shule murmured. When she grabbed Kotori, she'd told Zak to follow and get Dusky if needed, and she could see her daughter's form slipping from the shadows, her own element active, to go get him. She'd be back soon with him, Shule expected.
Kotori was unexpectedly calm while staring down someone who had hurt his daughter. Possibly even threw her into a coma too. "I'll wait till he can speak for himself. Delightful to know my daughter lives up to my legacy, now I really know crazy with certainty that crazy runs from the Eerie side more than Vera's family."
"So we're here to just and wait till their conscious? Can't we just... Tell a mercenary to do that?" Sean asked Shule.
Duskslayer had been walking back from seeing a guider after injuring his paw when he ran into Zakiyyah. It always felt weird how she was his older sister, but it never felt that way outside of the title and blood connection. Sometime's it felt more like Kotori and Zak were somehow not related to him at all, which in a way made him feel a little relieved to have been raised by Lex. There was a silent anger behind his siblings eyes that was lacking with his littermates. Nonetheless he followed beside Zakiyyah, hoping that by helping his mom out she would consider letting him out of being literally grounded.
