Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
His hardened gaze swept the streets he once walked as he padded through the barren city. His soulless azure optics analyzed every detail, every decaying brick, and every walkway he once walked with the authority of a Heda. Sure, he never was one, but his ties were strong enough to warrant such a connection. He could feel some burning gazes melt the fur on his back, but he did not stop until he heard one cat dare to challenge him.
”You look mighty comfortable here.” a bright voice rang through the air, her eyes curiously observing the cat. He looks strong... she thought to herself as she gave the faintest of smiles.
He smirked as he turned to face the she-cat. The cats here were not as blind as he remembered them to be. "I am. It's more or less a second home. Are you going to do something about or just stand there?"
Her sing-song laugh mingled with a purr as she let her gaze look him up and down. Her eyes seemed almost playful as she began to walk, her path going around the tom before her. ”Maybe. Are you going to provoke me, handsome kitty-cat?” Kenna was acting rather playful, something that seemed odd for an Absum Lux feline.
His features remained stone cold as his gaze followed her path. "Maybe, maybe not. I have not decided if you are worth my time." He rose to his paws and continued to walk his path. He waved his tail in dismissal of the combatant.
”Oh? Well, that’s too bad. I was hoping to have some fun..” Kenna made a mocking pouty face as he began to walk away, her tail waving a little as she paused in her stride. After which she then began to follow the tom again, smile flirting across her lips. ”I’d like to think any who has me around should enjoy my company.”
He chuckled under his breath as she moved to follow him. She was persistent, but posed no significant threat to him. Omega could entertain her for a little while. Entertainment can only last for so long before it bores its audience. "Seems like your having plenty of fun just annoying me. I'd like to enjoy your company, but I don't think you are likable."
Her smile never faltered as she followed behind the tom. At one point her shoulder even brushed against his tail. ”Don’t be silly. You’re only teasing. If I wasn’t somewhat likeable, you’d have tried to tear my ear off by now, hm?” Her brows wriggled a little as she spoke.
He shook his head. "I never mentioned anything about you being likable. Friendly? Yeah, too much so. Talkative? Arguably. Entertaining? Absolutely, but likable? Not yet. All the components are there, but you don't have the right balance. " Ever since his incident he found himself becoming less and less of his old self. It some ways it felt good, borderline purifying.
Kenna didn’t know how to take the hint. She was just too sociable and friendly. The feline sped up a little, letting her tail brush against his side. ”Then teach me.” It was an odd request, but many considered her odd anyhow.
She was getting to comfortable around him for his own liking. The group had certainly gone soft if they trusted defense in such a clueless combatant. His timing in leaving the group could not have been better. "I can't. You'll have to figure it out yourself."
Omega shook his head and turned back to look at the young combatant. "I couldn't teach it to you if I wanted to, not that I would. You have no more potential than anyone else I've met."
He chuckled and shook his head. "You could say that." He used to be able to care about things like her, but he simply could not force himself to anymore.
She moved to catch up with Omega, her eyes shifting over his facial features. She gave a half smile before brushing her tail across his side. “You’re different from all the cats I’ve met before. There’s something about you.” Her last words seemed to trail off quietly, a small purr slipping from her lips. “I quite like you.” She paused, then furrowed her brows. “What are you doing here, anyways?”
Even she could tell there was something different about him and they were barely acquaintances. The touch of her tail made his fur stand on end. He did not have time for whatever Kenna was trying to accomplish with this conversation, but there was little he could do while in the heart of the Coalition's territory. Any move against her could set the entire Coalition on his heels. "I'm just passing through."
She noticed the way his fur fluffed up at a simple touch. Her brows raised, but her smile never faded from her lips. “Interesting.” She commented, then continued. “Why? Is there any particular reason you couldn’t simply go around the territory?” It was a reasonable question. It seemed as if he had a reason to rush. But why?
He shrugged. "I wanted to see how this place was coming along since I last left it." His eyes wandered around the rows of seemingly abandoned buildings. "Nothing seems to have changed. Everything is just as decrepit as when I left it." The place was timeless, and he was not disappointed of it. The tom was not sure if he wanted the place to waste away or not.
