Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Marvelstar waited patiently for the students to emerge from their dens into the main room of the Shadowhunter's Academy. Seeing how new everything was to MoonClan the consul was responsible for making sure the first class of Shadowhunters got the proper training they needed. She inwardly chided herself for putting this lesson off for so long but, with how many Students there were now, she was thankful for the opportunity to get such a large lesson in at once. This way she would be able to closely monitor their progress for herself and make sure everyone was getting the hang of it.
"Because this is such an important lesson we'll be waiting for most of you to arrive before we begin" she explained to those who had already arrived in the room.
Nocturnepaw was one of the firsts to enter the room, stopping to rub the sleep from his eyes and glance around to see if his littermates had managed to slip away without being noticed. He also took a strange sense of pride in the fact that Ravenpaw wasn't here yet. Part of him hoped the main-coon would sleep in and miss this lecture entirely, the other part of him was disappointed in himself for even wishing that on another student.

Lostpaw slipped out from the shadows, taking his place at the edges of the room to avoid close contact with the others. Though he had been brought here because of his blood, it didn't make him feel any less of an outsider. THe cats here were mostly strangers. He curled his tail neatly over his paws, staying on his own.
Nocturnepaw's relief was gonna be short lived. He was already there, but hidden away, waiting for his prey to show itself. He hid the shadows of the room, and crept from behind once Nocturnepaw was seating. In a few moments he was just behind him, and then he reared up and cuffed his ears. "Heya~, sunny boy!" The look of pure glee on his face couldn't be mistaken for anything else.

His pristine white pelt betrayed him before he made himself known, yellow eyes glowing in the dark. Promisedpaw stepped slowly towards where the other students were gathered. He stayed quiet, mirroring the actions of Lostpaw as he sat, looking around himself to gather his surroundings.

He did not want to be here. If it was just a lecture, it was a precious night where Vantapaw could get some extra sleep. But the other Shadowhunter apprentices slipping by him, one even kicking his tail out of the den, completely disrupted his sleep. Finally shuffling out with sleepy paws, he didn't even hesitate in shoving Ravenpaw away from Nocturnepaw, sitting next to his brother protectively. "Are you even allowed to acknowledge us, no name cat?" His voice came out a mix of sleepy and teasing, a slight edge of annoyance on it.

Darknesspaw padded over and chose to sit in the middle of the group with his baby blue eyes staring at the instructor. The siamese cat was silent as he listened to the conversations around him but paid no attention to amy single one in particular. As of right now not a single student arose interest in the tom to want to start a conversation with. So instead he patiently waited to see what Marvelstar would say.
"You again? Seriously?" Nocturnepaw sighed, doing his best to hide the near heart attack Ravenpaw had just given him. What had surprised him the most was how brazen the other tom was act this way in front of Marvelstar. The Bengal had to fight to keep himself from glancing in his mother's direction to see her reaction to the student's behavior. "Can you really not control your self even a little?" he frowned, making no attempts to hide his disappointment this time.
Marvelstar frowned slightly as the students trickled into the room, choosing to stick to themselves rather than interacting with each other. No this wouldn't do at all. Her blue eyes glanced around the room, stopping at every student, her frown deepening when she spotted her kit bickering with another student to top it all off.
"Alright, here's what we're going to do, I want each of you to find a partner to work with, we'll be working in pairs today." she spoke up addressing the class. Pearpaw quietly positioned himself at the edge of the group, not wanting anyone to notice his late appearance. Luckily, he managed to catch Marvelstar's directions so that he wasn't completely oblivious to what they should be doing. That didn't make things any easier though. Green eyes swept across the students, but no one stood out to him. He was probably the oldest student there, which was a bit embarrassing, especially considering all of the new shadowhunter stuff he had to learn on top of things. It was just bad timing, but he wondered if anyone looked down on him for of it. With a sigh, he turned to one of the quieter students next to him--Promisedpaw was it? "Uh, do you want to be partners?" complacentdevil

Promisedpaw just about jumped out of his skin when Pearpaw approached him, not seeing the other student until he had reached the corner of his eye. He held back his yelp of surprise but sighed quickly before putting on a small smile, trying to relax his bristled fur as quickly as possible, hoping that none of the other students, and especially not Marvelstar, had seen the commotion, as quiet as it was. As soon as he finished his exhale he nodded, "Sure. You're... Pearpaw.. right?" he asked, curling his plush tail around his paws, even as he tried to make himself look as inviting as he could.

Darknesspaw gave a heavy sigh as Marvelstar told them to pair up. His blue eyes looked around and saw some of the students picking their pairs already but not a single cat looked good enough to work with him. He was going to have to have someone but who? Who would dare pair up with him? They had better be the best in the class, well only second to himself of course. Afterall he needed the best and that was that.

Needless to say, the apprentice was quite annoyed when Vantapaw knocked him off his prey. Didn't he know fun when he saw it? Ravenpaw rolled his eyes and scrambled to his paws. "Relax, it's just a little fun." And, well, the next part was going to be really fun. Or torturous, depending how his partner took this. "Sounds good, Marvelstar!" He rose to his paws and walked between Nocturnepaw and his mother, with Marvelstar at his back. His voice dropped to a whisper. "Just me and your sunny sun son..."

Pearpaw couldn't keep from smiling at Promisedpaw's reaction. Sure, he felt a little bad for scaring him, but it was also funny. His amusement remained as the other apprentice accepted his offer without any indication of it being done out of pity or some feeling of resentment. "Yeah, that's me," he said as he sat down beside him. "And you're Promisedpaw, right? You ready to be the best team here?" He wasn't all that competitive, but he hoped it might break the ice between them if they were feeling more motivated.

"First to team up, I'm sure great minds think alike, we'll probably be the first to finish everything else," the pale student decided, his voice concealing a rumbling purr underneath, pleased with the idea of coming out on top. He didn't have to win things, just as long as when they were done the end result was flawless. He couldn't stand to stumble over anything, leaving him with a go-with-the-flow attitude. Pearpaw would be a perfect partner for himself, and he was confident in their abilities.

Palepaw yawned quietly as she approached the rest of the group, the pretty calico had arrived just in time, only catching the tail end of Marvelstar's instructions. She quickly surveyed the room, searching out a partner so that she wouldn't seem half as behind as she was. Her gaze landed on Lostpaw and she bounded over to him, her green eyes alight with interest, "I'm Palepaw... would you like to be partners for..." she started, growing quiet as she quickly finished her thought, "whatever it is we're doing?" she asked, rocking on her toes. racer

Vantapaw narrowed his eyes. He wouldn't call it fun if it meant antagonizing his brother. But Marvelstar made it clear he didn't really have a choice. Like he wasn't there. ... Was it still the same as ever in Moonclan? Still, Hauntedpaw wasn't here. So Vantapaw stood up, making an effort to walk between Nocturnepaw and Ravenpaw. Able to catch what the latter said, he lowered his voice to a growl. "Watch your tongue." And then he left, and now he needed to find a partner of his own. This only egged on his bad mood more as he walked up to Darknesspaw. "Hey wanna partner up?" ashestoashes
Ravagedpaw was a mix of worry and excited. He had been building up the courage to ask Marvelstar for help with his... ability. But he kept chickening out. Still, it was dark so it shouldn't be too much of a problem. His wide amber eyes looked around for anyone still available.

Darknesspaw eyed the tom as he came up giving him a critical one over before giving an agreeing nod. "Sounds fine to me. All I ask is you don't embarrass me and I will lead us to the top. I think you'll do good enough I recon though." Vantapaw didn't look scrawny and didn't seem dumb to Darknesspaw so that was a good start. Honestly the other cat gave him a good feeling, as long as Vantapaw fought hard enough for their goal he would do. strawberrycupid

Lostpaw blinked, turning to Palepaw before nodding slowly "Lostpaw" the young apprentice clearly didn't want to be here, but it wasn't like he had much choice in the matter. He had tried to leave MoonClan on several occasions only to be dragged back and told that it was his 'destiny' to be here. He didn't care about destiny or the other nonsense that these moonclan cats kept spewing. He just wanted to go back to the way thing were before.... complacentdevil

"Great!" she chirped, circling the other student before she came to a stop at his side, sitting comfortably close to him. She had yet to make any enemies in her clan, even though she was relatively new to it, and she didn't intend on making any today. Everyone was a friend in her mind, and she couldn't dare to think otherwise. "We'll get along right as rain, Im sure of it," she churred happily, waiting along with the others to hear what Marvelstar had in store for them.
