While Bloodystar and Littlecrow fought, Bravepaw waged his own inner battle as his littermates and Nocturnepaw were essentially forced to watch. The air surrounding him seemed to become super heated, forcing his family back even as the earth underneath him blackened as if Bravepaw's body were a fire licking against it. The embers went from whispers that could have been a trick of the eye, to lingering in the air as flickering flames danced in between the tom's puffed up pelt, oranges and reds that set his silver furs aglow, and made the cinnamon ribbons look like the lava flowing down from the volcano.
All the while, the apprentice practically writhed on the ground, clutching at his head, words failing as he could merely let out a scream as pieces fell into place in his mind, as though a door had been opened and try as he might, he couldn't close it. Memories, emotions, ideas, things he'd never heard of before, or only known through stories coming to him as if he'd lived them. Had he lived them?
He saw younger Bloodyrondo and Littlestar. Idiotbrother. Watched Foxbane sitting alone while he watched from somewhere far away. Fires. His fault? Graciously saving SunClan from it's own demise. Farther back it went, though the farther it went, the patchier it became, until it slowed to a trickle, and the tom's body appeared to go limp, whatever screams had been escaping him falling silent, the only sign the tom was alive, save for the spectacle of heat, flame, and embers that seemed to flit around him like butterflies, was the gentle rise and fall of his side.
Slowly, his mind settled on a few scenes, himself, a big cat of old, in a scene eerily similar to this. Of watching Littlestar, bestowed with the power of his enemy and sister, Selene tearing through flesh until he wasted away, and then his eyes opened again in a tyke's den, small and weak, born anew in a strange place, all signs of his previous self stored away until such a time as the wall broke down or wore away.
After what must have felt like forever for the tom's siblings, Bravepaw sat up. But he seemed different now. His amber eyes seemed alight like molten metal, and his very body seemed larger than it had been moments before. The flickering flames seemed to react with his movements, embers swirling around his paws. His gaze roved over his littermates and then lingered on Nocturnepaw a moment later, as if the tom were seeing them in an entirely new light for the first time, piercing through them in a way it hadn't before.
Whatever they wanted to say, however, they didn't get much a chance to as he rose to his paws and turned towards where the the Priest and two former Priestesses were situated, one step forward, then another as he walked with what could only be described as supernatural confidence and self-assuredness. "CRIMSY!" While it was still undeniably Bravepaw's voice, there was now a power far beyond that of mortal authority behind it, words that seemed to reverberate through the very ground the present cats walked on. It wasn't a happy voice, however, and every feline who heard him would undoubtedly be hoping the tabby wasn't speaking to them. JadieracerFaith @samiam
The Bengal had been rooted to the ground. Helpless, only able to watch as Bravepaw withered and screamed in agony. He wanted to scream with him but he didn't instead his jaw was clenched shut, his teeth biting into his tongue, but he didn't even register the coppery taste of blood as he stared at the tabby before him. He was useless to him. His friend was possibly dying in front of him and he could do nothing to help him. It was then that Nocturnepaw realized how much he had come to care for the other tom in such a short time. Bravepaw had been the first, and possibly only friend he had made since he was forced to come here. He was the reason the half blooded cat dragged himself out of his nest every morning, why he even came back at all when the night was over. The realization terrified him beyond words, and yet. Watching the scene before him scared him even more.
Time crawled and yet raced by all at once. Nocturnepaw had somehow managed to tune out the noise, the screams of his clan and the roars of a creature he didn't dare look at. The only thing he could hear was Bravepaw's pain... until it stopped. As the cinnamon tabby rose to his paws the air rushed back into Nocturnepaw's lungs, a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding. Dizzy with relief he found it difficult but still managed to keep his eyes on Bravepaw but when the fellow apprentice looked back at him, the molten look on his eyes sent shivers down his spine, but the allure and familiar glint pulled him in and made it impossible to look away. All he could think about was how Bravepaw's eyes reminded him of the gemstone in the necklace that the tabby wore around his neck. Finally finding the words, he opened his mouth to speak but Bravepaw had looked away, and was already walking away from him.
No. Anger flared up in Nocturnepaw as soon as Bravepaw had turned away from him. How dare he just get up and walk away without saying anything after seeing how petrified his loved ones had been watching him this whole time. Willing to risk their own lives because they were unable to leave him? Instinctively he followed after Bravepaw, something he'd done more than he cared to admit since he came to SunClan but the tabby wasn't getting off that easy. Even then ethereal tone in his voice wasn't enough to scare him off. No the bengal kept walking until he found himself foolishly walking in stride next to Bravepaw.

For a moment Littlecrow and Bloodystar remain locked in stand still. Littlecrow unwilling to end things nor let him go. Most of the clan had managed to escape, but several were still stuck on the island. She had failed.... She had tried to buy enough time for the rest of the clan to escape, and she had failed. Bloodystar’s blood dripped from her jaws and claws, as she stayed frozen. It was only when a familiar voice reached her ears that her gaze faltered, flickering over to where Bravepaw approached them. The energy in the air was almost overwhelming, causing the long hairs along her spine to raise.
Littlecrow should have been terrified, now faced with the god whom she had slaughtered once more. However, there was no fear in her heart “so you have finally awakened, Sun God” she greeted like one might an old friend. Exhaustion weighed on her shoulders, her grip on the High Priest below her relaxing even more so. The silver she-cat had accepted her fate long ago, death no longer a thing to fear. She had done what her clan and family required of her, nothing more, nothing less. She never intended on escaping the Sun God’s consequences for killing him, nor would she try. His return now only brought her one emotion, relief. With their god returned anew SunClan no longer needed her, nor the cat she had pinned below.
He was on the warpath, and he was already several steps away from his family without a word to explain anything at all when Nocturnepaw joined him, and the tom's presence gave him pause and the fire in his eyes seemed to soften as he peered at his fellow apprentice. In a way, it felt like there was a yawning canyon between them, a space that had been created they could never hope to bridge. And yet, the feel of the sunstone necklace on his neck, it's gem appearing brighter as if to echo the cat wearing it, was a quiet comfort, Nocturnepaw's presence making him feel like he could take on the world in an entirely different way from the power that he held in his paws. Turning ever so slightly, he took the moment to brush the tom's cheek with a paw. "I wouldn't want you to be anywhere else." The silver tom answered simply, his unusual confidence allowing him to say something he might have balked at not ten minutes prior. His eyes drifted to his siblings a few paces away. "I'll explain this," He gestured vaguely to himself, "later. There's some things I have to take care of first."
And with that, he was back on the prowl, turning back to Bloodyrondo and Littlestar as the moment faded away into mere memory, and he then found himself having walked to the pair's side, watching Foxbane take a few measured steps closer to Littlestar, claws flicking out, ready to stare down any god who might dare to harm her adopted daughter.
Bravepaw paid her no mind however, the tumult of his mind only able to focus now on the pair as the elder of the two, the very cat who'd caused his demise, spoke to him. No fear, which was nothing less than he would expected of her from his newly surfaced memories. When she called him Sun God, he tilted his head, regarding her in unsettling silence. Her use of the name, or title really, settled a few pieces into place, clicking neatly into their assigned spaces despite all the missing pieces, as if they new where to go without trying. "Call me Damek, or Bravepaw. What my parents gave me shouldn't go to waste just because of who I happen to be." It was hard to tell what Bravepaw was thinking. It was rather obvious who he was, and yet, he wasn't entirely like either cat everyone would know him to be. He wasn't entirely sure who he himself was at his core, but that internal crisis was best staved off until this situation had been resolved. "But yes. I suppose it's come to that time." His fury burned beneath the surface, though the who it was directed at were yet to be seen, if one didn't already know the name Bravepaw had shouted out moments before. "You're going to let Crimsy live." It wasn't a question, nor was it an order to let the tom live. Rather, a statement of fact, as if Damek had already understood that Littlecrow could not bring herself to kill Bloodyrondo. Ultimately, she still wouldn't be able to tell if he approved of her decision or not. This Sun God was not the same one she had killed, at least, it didn't quite seem the same. Time would tell.

"No...I will not kill him" Littlecrow took her paw off of Bloodystar's chest, placing it onto the ground of the Ceremony Springs. Her eyes were on the newly awakened Sun God, and him only. Leaving the High Priest laying on the grass bleeding. She had already been imprisoned by the time Bravepaw and his siblings had been brought back to SunClan, the cat standing before her now was a stranger, yet familiar. Both God and mortal. She didn't have to question how he knew that she couldn't bring herself to kill him, not when he could peer into even the darkest corners of your soul. There was no where to hide. He would know the truth of what lied in her heart, why she had killed him, the guilt of failing Bloodyrondo, the ache of doing everything in your power and it still not being enough.
Before she could speak, another cat had darted to their side. Paws pressed firmly onto Bloodystar's chest trying to stop the bleeding. Her long fur bristled outwards and eyes wide with fear as she faced Bravepaw's wrath. She had grown up with the tom, even went on a date with him... How had she not known that he was the Sun God? She was confused and hurt, but more than anything else afraid for her father "Please..." her voice quivered but she clung to Bloodystar's chest while Littlecrow hovered over head and Bravepaw stared them down "Show him mercy" she pressed her nose to his cheek "Daddy... I'm sorry that I couldn't do what you wanted, but I still love you" JadieHoneystormJetclaw
Littlecrow had, at one point in time, been one of Bloodystar's closest friends. She was a cat he very nearly viewed as his mother, his High Priestess, the example he strived to someday meet. Their relationship was far from perfect - everyone had their rainy days - but he'd loved her. He really, truly had... Which is what made her murder of the Sun God the ultimate betrayal. Whatever trust he had left in her shattered.
The moment she took against against the Sun God, Bloodystar's heart began to close.
When Ferventprayer threw herself at the High Priest and tried to stop his bleeding, he only felt numb. He remembered when she and her littermates were kits, the lessons he'd taught them, the quiet moments they had spent together as a family. That had been happiness, or at least a taste of it... but it was gone now. He could remember the emotions but not the feelings. Ferventprayer was a stranger. Littecrow was a stranger. They were all strangers.
Especially Bravepaw.
Bloodystar was ignorant but not so much that he'd mistake divinity when he saw it, heard it and felt it. The Sun God's presence was unmistakeable and while the God spoke to Littlecrow, Bloodystar was honestly shell-shocked. This. This was the being he so loved, his whole world, the one whose message he had sacrificed so much to spread. And yet... the fact that the face he chose to wear was Bravepaw's made Bloodystar's blood boil. Bravepaw was among the weakest and least devout cats in the entire Clan. Why him? Why would the Sun God pick a cat like him as his vessel.... when he could have had Bloodystar?
"Get off me," He hissed, striking Ferventprayer across the cheek with misplaced rage that pushed her out of his way. He didn't even blink as he walked past her, leaving crimson red paw-prints to mark his path as he approached the former High Priestess and newborn God.
"You speak of me as if I am not here," He said quietly before smashing his paw against the top of Littlestar's head, slamming her jaw into the sandstone and holding her there. Strange. He may not care for Bravepaw, but that was undoubtably the Sun God standing before him. Oddly, though, Bloodystar just felt... empty. Still alone...
"Sun God, I have brought you the traitor Littlecrow," It was a speech he had rehearsed numerous times, but his voice was monotone, soulless. Something wasn't right about this, he wasn't fulfilled, "So you may pass your judgment on her for the greatest crime ever committed by a SunClan cat: murder of our benevolent deity. Give the order and I will end her for you..."
Bravepaw watched as Ferventprayer came to plea for Bloodyrondo, for the very tom who had lied to her and tried to force her into a marriage she didn't want. Even throughout all the horrible things he'd done, she still came to beg for mercy, willing to stare down both himself and Littlestar for the sake of someone who most definitely didn't deserve it. He opened his mouth to respond, only for Crimsy to lash out at the one feline actively advocating to help him, and his mouth slowly closed, jaw clenching as his chin tilted down a half degree to meet Bloody's gaze head on, anger renewed.
"It is not Littlestar's fate you should be concerned about, Bloodyrondo." If Bloodystar hadn't realized something was wrong before, he would most definitely notice the fact that the Sun God he valued so much was referring to this so-called 'traitor' as if she were leader, and not him. "I will deal with her in my own time, and in the way I see fit, so you WILL be letting her go. Right now, it's your turn to answer for the things you've done."

Ferventprayer was forced back, as he father stuck her across the face. A long deep gash from his claws extending down across her right eye and down her cheek. She stumbled backwards in disbelief, her paw rising to her face. Blood welled from her wound, mixing with her already blood stained fur. Her face stung, but not nearly as bad as his betrayal had. Bloodystar wasn't perfect, but the one thing she could always count on was that he was only trying to do what was best for them. Never before had he struck her, not even in jest. All her words catching in throat, her body trembling. -------------> Littlecrow's attention lapsed, as she reached out to try and stop the blow aimed her her daughter. It was all the opening Bloodystar needed, his claws hooking deep into her face and forcing her head down with his weight an slamming her jaw into the ground. It was enough to make his head swim, the hot blood running over her eyes causing them to close. She held still, listening to the words of Damek demanding her release..
Tenebrousrequiem’s blood boiled the moment Bloodyrondo struck Ferventprayer. And saw red. “How DARE you!” Tenebrousrequiem roared, “That’s my FERVENTPRAYER!” He shouted before surging forward. It didn’t matter that Bloodyrondo was on Littlecrow. It didn’t matter that he was facing down Bravepaw turned Sun God. Bloodyrondo, hit Ferventprayer. So Tenebrousrequiem, in all his fury at the cat who had caused his mate so much pain rushed right into where he had no right to be. He threw himself onto Bloodyrondo. And where Bravepaw, was planning some divine punishment or intervention.
Tenebrousrequiem Came in with all the wrath of a vengeful husband, that had watched someone hurt his beloved wife. He graspED Bloodyrondo by the shoulders and then bit down hard on his flesh. He didn’t go for the kill. Maybe out of Bravepaw’s divine intervention. Ferventprayer’s wishes just barely staying Tenebrousrequiem’s teeth. Or because he was so damn FURIOUS. That he was going to leave enough wounds that he really lived up to the name Bloody.
Perhaps Damek should have stepped in immediately to remove Tenebrousrequiem. But to be honest, the tom was doing something that he himself had half a mind to, fire back at Bloodyrondo with all the pain he'd inflicted upon others. In the end, however, Bravepaw suspected that would accomplish nothing. Tenebrousrequiem might feel better having 'defended' his wife, and Ferventprayer's reaction could be anything from angry at her mate, to being heartbroken by her father figure, or anything in between.
After a few heartbeats, which likely felt like much longer than a couple strikes to the cat being currently attacked, but was actually quite quick considering how he could have just let the tom attack, Bravepaw stepped in, digging his teeth into Tenebrousrequiem's scruff and hauling him off of Bloodyrondo with supernatural ease. "Your point has been more than made. Go take care of your mate. Right now, she needs you more than anything." JadieracerJetclaw
(I'm really sorry I haven't kept up with this the last few days - been traveling all weekend & been sooooo tired xD)
So much was happening so fast. Bloodystar had barely had half a second to process the Sun God's words - "It is not Littlestar's fate you should be concerned about, Bloodyrondo" - before he felt Tenebrousrequiem's fangs tear into his shoulder. The ferocity of the attack made him lose his grip on Littlecrow, forcing him to take a couple steps back, but still her did not fall to the ground.
"Get out of my way, tom." He growled, returning the blow with his claws, but already the Sun God had begun to pull Tenebrousrequiem, so Bloodystar allowed his attack to fall short. He was getting some mixed signals from his deity, but, then again, one could never truly understand the actions of the divine. It was impossible, something that you only accepted, not questioned.
Bloodystar's shoulder wound was deep; blood dribbled down his forearm in a steady stream, but he paid it no mind. His celadon eyes remained transfixed on the Sun God.
"Pass your judgement." He growled simply, the only direct command he'd ever given to the Sun God. He stifled a growl in the back of his throat as senses beyond the standard six told him he should fear whatever this being did next. Bloodystar's heart began to beat so loud he thought those standing next to him must be able to hear it. Something... something catastrophically wrong, but he still could not bridge the gap between truth and delusion.
Tenebrousrequiem growled, reluctant to release the one who'd struck Ferventprayer without painting the ground with his blood. But Bravepaw's words about Ferventprayer needing him, resonated.
He ignored Bloodyrondo's retaliation entirely, turning and going to Ferventprayer's side.
"Ferventprayer?" He asked worriedly nosing his mate.

Bravepaw stood there for a long moment, meeting Bloodystar's gaze for a stretch of silence as the tom demanded him to pass his judgement. "As you wish." Damek stated simply, before closing his eyes to consider. His mind was still a mess, acting more on instinct and through the overwhelming memories and emotions that had just been thrown at him moments before. All the new feelings seemed to scream at him to end Bloodyrondo, to hurt him in the worst possible ways that he would never be able to recover from. And there were many within SunClan who would genuinely believe that was justice enough, that he deserved all the things that came to him, and perhaps he did.
Conversely, his more recent memories, while angry at the tom before him, well, he wasn't entirely sure he was that vindictive and heartless, was he? It was hard to sift through everything, to come to a decision on such an important matter.
The silver and cinnamon-striped god took a few deep breaths, then opened his molten eyes to stare at Bloodyrondo once more. "In all your days as Priest, you claimed you did everything in accordance with the Sun God. And yet, you blatantly hurt SunClan itself with your actions, you harmed the very deity you claim to revere, all because you couldn't look past yourself, trying to twist and pass off your own agenda as divine actions that would strengthen SunClan. You had great potential, and yet, you used it to harm others, even the cats you took in as your own children, instead of building up the clan. You turned your back on SunClan, and then chose to believe it was SunClan who turned it's back on you." The rage seemed to subside a touch, breaking away as a deep look of disappointment crossed his features.
"For all you have done, and all the 'signs' you have misinterpreted or simply crafted to force things to go your way, this one you will not be able to run from. It's about time you get acquainted with the shadows. From this day forward, you will not be able to walk under the Sun's light without feeling the burn of my gaze upon you, all the pain that you have inflicted on others hot on your back, reminding you of all that you have done to SunClan. And for all the days that you cannot walk in the light, you shall be banished from SunClan." Bravepaw's tone was harsh, but even not taking his eyes off of Bloodystar for even a moment. "However, just as I was not gone forever, you won't necessarily be, either. If you should one day find that this curse has lifted, and you can walk into SunClan during the day without needing to hide in the shadows due to the pain of the light, then you shall be welcome to return, for you'll have sufficiently redeemed yourself for what you have done, should you ever wish to return." It wasn't a guarantee, and the apprentice-god stressed the word 'if' to ensure that Bloodyrondo knew he wasn't guaranteed the chance to come back to SunClan, he would have to prove he was worthy of such a thing. But it also wasn't a death sentence, or such a harsh punishment that he could never hope to be free of it. Jadieracer

Blood poured down from the wounds on Littlestar's head, her eyes forced to close to keep it out of her eyes. When Teneberousrequium had leaped at Bloodystar it had caused his claws to dig in deep ripping their way out of her flesh. It was the name the tom called that had caught her attention "Fervent?" she couldn't hide the surprise in her voice "Fervent?" she called again, reaching out toward the long haired calico who looked horrified and was backing away from her on shaking feet. She hadn't seen her daughter since she was a baby, the day Bloodyrondo had taken her out of power. Her kits hadn't even been weaned before they were ripped away from her side, she being thrown into prison.
"Please... don't run" she pleaded, stumbling forward on the uneven ground with the two toms fighting behind her. She blinked the blood away from her eyes, though her vision was blurry "Ferventprayer" her feet slowly came to a stop at the horrified expression on her daughter's face. Littlestar wanted to reach for her, to draw her into a warm embrace and hold her tight... but it wasn't the time. She was scaring her, as she felt her heart shatter. She stopped her advance as Teneberousrequium rejoined his mate, reluctantly pulling away. Tears mixed with blood though it was impossible to tell
She turned back to the Sun God, listening with her ears back and head low. She should have been happy that the cruel leader who had caused her, her family, and her clan was finally answering for his crimes, but there was no joy in her heart....only pain....

Ferventprayer took one step back, then another, the bloodied she-cat moving towards her calling her name. Her face looked so familiar, flashes of memories of her appearing one after another. The warm smile, the familiar scent, gentle words, and... she could vaguely remember something about a picnic. Where she and her siblings stared out over the camp with the sun beginning to set, the she-cat and another tom watching over them. Her heart was beating quickly in her chest, the fur along her spine beginning to lift "No..." she knew the name Littlestar and how she had betrayed SunClan, but this was the first time she had seen her face since the day she was put into prison. Another step back, unable to face everything unfolding before her. She was beginning to feel light headed, everything coming in and out of focus
Just as she began to fall, her mate was at her side once more. Her mother stopping in her tracks, as Ferventprayer's weight fell onto Tenerberousrequium. It was to much, to much for her to take in. She would have fell to the ground, but having her mate there to catch her kept her from the worst of it. Her entire body was shaking, head pounding, trying to make sense of all of this "I can't.. I can't do this" she mewed weakly, as the Sun God spoke her father's sentence she began to cry. Even though he had hurt her over and over again, she couldn't stop the tears that treked down her cheek "That's my father" she couldn't watch, burying her nose into her mate's fur unable to support her weight any longer "but he hurt me..." she had been ready to take on the Sun God and Littlestar for him, and he had hurt her. Yet even now she couldn't stop the feelings of love she held for him, so deep seeded that even now it didn't waver Jetclaw
Tenebrousrequiem bore Ferventprayer's weight letting her collapse onto him. He shifted so she was practically lying on his side, carefully guiding her to the ground.
"I'm here," Tenebrousrequiem said softly, letting her press into his fur, holding her close. "You don't have to do anything." He assured her. "Just let it out," He said, a part of him bitter as he recalled how Bloody had told her not to cry despite her sister having died horribly twice. "Do you need me to get you out of here? I'll carry you my love." He assured her.
He wasn't sure where he'd take her, but if she just wanted to get away he'd do everything he could to do so. There was little he wouldn't do for Ferventprayer.
On cue, the inky black clouds that up until now been blotting out the sun shifted, causing a beam of light to come contact with Bloodystar's, no, Bloodyrondo's, pelt. He let out an excruciating howl of pain and crumpled onto the ground as his entire body was consumed by flames, but to the naked eye there was nothing there at all, just a coarse-furred shadow of Bloodyrondo thrashing about wildly as he tried to shake off whatever was 'attacking' him. He only felt relief when smoke drifted back over the sun and cast the assembled cats below back into darkness.
"I don't understand," He whispered as tremors of pain radiated throughout his body. He tried to get up and look at the Sun God but he couldn't find the strength, he felt numb all over, exhausted. His heart hammered against his chest and his speech became more erratic, "Everything I did was for SunClan. No matter the cost, I had to find you and bring you back, and I did, didn't I?!"
Bloodyrondo shifted himself onto his side and finally was able to lock eyes with Bravepaw, although he wasn't the same cat anymore The red-furred tom was trembling, eyes wide with terror, he looked much more a boy than a man, "I didn't kill you. Littlecrow did. I was always loyal. Always. Even when it was hard, I-I stood by your side. I shut down anyone who spoke against you. I raised the next generation of SunClan to follow you with as much hope and devotion as I always had in you. I... worked hard! I did my best! But... I... I don't understand. I just don't understand."
"No, you didn't." Bravepaw's voice lowered, and he met Bloodyrondo's eyes with ease, though he shifted slightly, blocking out the light from reaching the pained tom's pelt for the moment, a quiet mercy, if you could call it that, when he was the one to curse the Priest in the first place. "Along the way you lost yourself, Bloodystar. Somewhere between when I died and now, you changed. Look around you, for a moment. How can you claim to have done this all for SunClan when you tried to force me into a marriage I didn't want, went against the god you claim to love so much that it awakened parts of me I didn't even know I had due to anger? You tried to force these cats to stay here and die for your false idea of what I wanted, when I was here, telling you you were wrong, and it took you seeing my power to know me again? How many cats did you drive out of SunClan? How many SunClan cats were buried under your reign?"
The god shook his head slightly. "Look at those who care about you, and you've pushed away. Duskslayer, Nikkohydrangea. Ferventprayer begged me to spare you, and you retaliated in anger and violence. Maybe you truly believe you held SunClan close to your heart, but that's not true. You lost that part of yourself long ago, and replaced genuine care and faith you have with blind obsession and paranoia. You can say you did your best, but 'best' doesn't erase all the hurt you leave behind, it doesn't change the lies, and it doesn't bring back those believers you drove away. It's about time you left SunClan, and took the time to really examine yourself. Your past, your present, your future, who you are without the Sun God. Even if you hadn't cause all this suffering, anyone can see that you staying here will not get you the help you desperately need. So walk in the shadows, Bloodycrow. Though they can be scary, and the light painful, some time in the darkness may help you in ways that I never did, and give you a perspective you desperately need." The deity lingered a moment, allowing the newly dubbed Bloodycrow to comprehend that before he turned away. "Let him go, he has much to face, no need to try and hunt him down when he'll probably be running as fast as his paws can carry him."
Bravepaw walked away now from the conversation, peering at the cats locked into the area, stuck, left to wait for death as the boiling waters prevented them from escape. He closed his eyes a moment, and took a deep breath. One thing down. Now the real work began, he supposed.
"Oh yeah! Well- you're just a big useless... BUTT HEAD!"
Managing to squirm to the front of the crowd was Gingersnap, SunClan's janus. A gasp rolled over the crowd, or well- at least in Gingersnap's head everyone gasped.
Sure, uncle Bloody definitely couldn't stay in SunClan. And there was no denying the atrocities he committed deserved punishment, but acting like a punishment was saving the day was so typical of the Sun God. There was no rehabilitating, or blessing the mind to give the confused or corrupt an easier ability to heal what had been broken. "Yeah that's right, all powerful my butt. He doesn't do anything, but curse. Did it work last time? Or the time before that? Did it work ANYTIME? If only you could be what you pretend you are Sun God!" She called back out to him, "But you're not the savior, you create every villain that's ever harmed our clan. But as someone who held onto your every charismatic word, flashy miracle, and believed with all my heart you were the good guy I feel I have the right to call it as it is and as I see it you're just a stinky piece of glittery dirt. And one day everyone else will smell your stink too and see you were never gold, you are and always will be a shiny piece of mouse dung!"
Gingersnap nudged Bloody for him to walk with her, "So see you loser, sibling killer God! NYHHHH!!!" Gingersnap mocked sticking her tongue out at Bravepaw.
Duskslayer was prepared to defend his son, but this was just at another level. Like a school yard taunt with a pinch of sensibility? Not to mention he couldn't deny the sadness of the situation. Gingersnap leaving meant there was no one left in Autumn's family left in SunClan, an entire soothsayers family chased out by the culture of the clan. Hers wasn't the only one either, plenty of families were entirely chased out of SunClan, seeing Gingesnap leave was just a reminder of the collective loss. Turning to Bravepaw he wondered if he should even bother to say don't listen to her. After all being called a butt head and mouse dung were pretty tame insults to say the least. Either way he turned away from Bloodycrow, opting to be by his sons side for support. "I'm here if you need someone to lean on," Duskslayer reassured Bravepaw.

Bravepaw had to pause and rub his face at Gingersnap's petty insults. "First of all, your insults suck. I can insult better than that, come on, Gingersnap. Throwing your hatred of the Sun God at me isn't gonna work, so, how about, when we meet next, have some material that's gonna make me cry, make me feel pain deep down in my glittery dirt soul." He answered, looking more tired at this point than anything. "If you'd prefer another punishment, I can just kill Bloodycrow now for you, that would solve the problem for sure. But, instead of just insulting me, how about I make sure the rest of these cats get out alive, including you, so I can actually hear your roasting in the future, okay?"
The insults would probably bother him later, when he thought about it more, because she wasn't exactly wrong about the curse thing, it was just what came naturally in the moment for him to do, good or bad. He glanced at this dad and smiled slightly. "I can handle this." He assured, with a confidence he felt despite having absolutely no reason to. And he simply walked away from Gingersnap before she had a chance to respond or try more insults on him, heading over to the edge of the ceremony springs, facing the direction of the erupting volcano. Faith
With lava fast approaching, Bravepaw afterward couldn't actually explain how he managed it. It rose over the edge of ceremony springs, but instead of coming down to kill the cats trapped within, it formed itself into a curved bridge, the rock cooling rapidly until Bravepaw was able to step on it, it's surface comfortingly cool. The ash in the air was still thick, but the lava stopped approaching, and there was a clear path from the bridge for those fleeing. "This way! The bridge is safe to cross!" He shouted as he walked back across, waving cats to move. He'd leave last, once he was sure the rest of SunClan was safe. Behind him, the bridge was pure black, and looks like ebony glass, smooth enough one could see fractions of the sky reflected in the obsidian's surface.
(A bridge has been made by Bravepaw, the Sun God, and SunClan can now easily escape via this bridge he made out of the lava.)
