Lilykit felt eyes on her and looked around for the source to see Palekit...with a sunflower? That wasn't her gift at all! Lilykit turned to Latingkit, "I'll be right back, go ahead and check out the snake while I ask Palekit a question. Maybe she'll come over here with us and see the snake too!" The small kit didn't feel sincere with her last sentence but gave a sweet smile to the other before she made her way over to her best friend. Looking both sad and astounded Lilykit rushed over and quickly said," Palekit this wasn't my gift to you! I dunno where your gift is but it was a really cute small pink flower with my ribbon I had when I joined. I had found the pink flower by the entrance and thought that you would like it..." The grey and white kit was surprised to find that she started to cry as she added, "I got the snake and knew it wasn't from you but didn't know if I lost your gift to me or maybe you hadn't gotten me one and was selfish for thinking you'd get one for me anyway." She rushed over and gave Palekit a small headbutt on the shoulder as she started to sob," You're my best friend no matter if I got a gift or not from you and I am so sorry my gift for you was lost. I hope you can forgive me!" Lilykit was mad at herself for being so sad but she couldn't help but to cry uncontrollably. @atomheart racer
Oh...she'd gotten a gift for her? Lavenderillusion was a little surprised. She didn't think the two were friends, most didn't really talk to her since she was constantly high, but to get a her a gift specifically was...nice, but totally unexpected. But now she wanted it. She wanted to know what it was and what it did, and what she was supposed to do with it. "Where is it?" Maybe she could get it back from whoever had it. Besides, if she didn't like it, she could let the other cat keep it. Simple solution!
Handsomepaw himself peered at the stones he ended up with. Rocks covered in moss. Not exactly what he was looking for. The tom trotted up to Cherrypaw, however, not having heard what she said, only seeing her anger. "Not too happy about Bloodystar switching around everyone's gifts either?" He asked, glancing at his rocks. "Unless you really wanted me to have rocks." Somehow he doubted it.
Sorrowfularia pawed at their bone art, having brought their 'gift' over and sat down besides Silverfringe with a hum. "You get any better luck with your randomly generated gift?"racer

And you would never give me something as disgusting as....as this, would you?" she said, grimacing as she realised it was stuck to her paws. "Oh Handsome Junior, who were you given to...?"

Watching the cats fumble with their gifts around them, it became clear to Sunnysmiles that the gifts had been traded around. But her thoughts of finding her gift for Nightfury were shaken out as a bouquet of flowers was dropped at her paws. She picked it up, turning it slightly before resting it against her shoulder. "This is a nice bouquet. Shame all these lovely flowers were picked... What did you end up with?" Sunny turned to look at Nightfury, but she wouldn't have been able to guess his gift.
Lastingkit purred "Ok ok, go see your friend. I will watch over your present" the little tom mewed happily. She got into a play bow batting at it's tail, only to jump back when it cause a rattling sound. He was to absorbed in the idea of new toy to see how sad Lillykit and Palekit were. ashestoashes @atomheart
"No I'm Carrottop" he turned the kit around and pointed into the crowd where he spotted Handsomepaw "Look that is handsomepaw" he replied firmly, already starting to panic a bit. What if Dappledbreeze really thought that this was his kit? What if she thought he had cheated on her? No this kit needed to go back where it had come from, but it also bothered him... Handsomepaw was only an apprentice, why was he getting a kit? cookiebiyuu ☆彡
Southkit was knocked out of the way, sent tumbling. When she came to a stop she was crying, one paw rubbing her bruised cheek, not understanding why the big cat at hurt her CleaverNova
Ferventprayer leaned into Tenerberousrequium, and giving him a small lick on the cheek before bending down to talk to the kit "So, what is your name? Who is your mother? and what clan are you from?" CleaverJetclaw

Burnishedkit squealed in delight, diving into the present that had been dropped at his paws. He pawed at the moss until the bright colored shiny things appeared. Of course the first thing he did was put it in his mouth to taste it, but it was metallic and gross. He pawed it a way only for it to shoot across the ground "WHOAH so fast!" he grinned chasing after it @atomheart pao
Fuzzykit looked at the plant he had been given in disdain "why do I want a bunch of green stuff?" fortunatly catnip didn't work on kittens so he seemed to not be bothered " There are to small to even make good hunting practice" he pouted
Silverfringe looked down at the crystal ball with the swirling stars. She had to admit that it was rather pretty, and she suspected that if the light hit it just right it would light up the nursery with stars. She looked up to see Sorrowfularia holding some bone art that one of the kits had made "Well better luck than you but..." there was anger in her eyes "That is not the present I had planned for you" Honeystorm

Eastkit wasn't happy. "WHY WON'T YOU EVER PLAY GAMES WITH ME!?" He screamed at his parents. He was young, and therefore really didn't get the implications of why they didn't want to participate, only that they kept agreeing to play a game, and then refused to do so, therefore lying directly to him. "Everyone else is playing, why can't you play too!" The kit was already sobbing as he threw a tantrum, screaming about how they kept lying to him and wouldn't let him have fun, and were now trying to make this his fault when he just wanted to play the games like everyone else. A real scene for Unseenlights and Duskslayer. racerFaith
Handsomepaw helped pick off the slime, lazily playing with it with his paw and watching it drip off, leaving nothing left. "Not what you were supposed to get, but this stuff is pretty cool, actually!" He grinned, getting distracted for a moment by the stuff before he remembered, and looked around, pointing to Bleedingheart with the choker Cherrypaw was supposed to get. "You were supposed to get that choker I made. I thought the red stone would look pretty on you." biyuu ☆彡
Sorrowfularia rattled the bones. "That ball is not what I meant for you either. Despite how pretty it is." They agreed, lazily gesturing towards where Bravepaw was peering at the tiara and sunflower cape. "That's what you were supposed to get. A crown and cape for a queen."
Inside he felt relieved to hear Unseenlight's stand up for herself, she just didn't know. Not only that, but instead of scolding him to not lie again, she leveled with him, gently offering Eastkit new perspectives. He really did marry an angel, no one else had such a heavenly touch like she did. Duskslayer's tail tapped Unseenlight's first before curling around her, always a silent signal to let her know it was him.
He opened his jaw, about to tell Unseenlight's he was grateful to her, but instead Eastkit's tantrum over road any opportunity to speak up. Duskslayer exchanged a knowing look with Unseenlight's before lying down next to their sobbing son, "I know, bud, it's frustrating. But when you're ready to play again we can go get food at your uncles favorite hunting ground." Duskslayer said, simply lying his head down onto his paws, patiently waiting for his son to dry his tears.
Palekit was upset but figured there had to be a reason behind this mess. “It okay, I think everyone’s gifts got messed up. I made you this really nice ball.” Her eyes scanned the camp for the gift she had made but couldn’t see over most of the adult. “But I mean it’s nice to know that you got me something even if I didn’t end up with it.” She head butted her friend, trying to cheer her up. The white and grey kitten was her best friend in the whole world and she didn’t like to see her upset. ashestoashes
Bleedingheart looked around for the catnip plant, spotting it with a kit. So that was not great, clearly someone would have to take it away from the kit because it just was not a good idea. “I think one of the kits ended up with it.” She said looking over at Lavenderillusion. Hopefully she wouldn’t make a scene and instead nicely trade something with the kit instead. paoracer

Unseenlights nuzzled her mate, before joining him on the ground as they waited on Eastkit's tantrum to pass "I know its frustrating, but how about you let us make it up to you?" it was hard to explain to a young why these games were bad and they couldn't play them. FaithHoneystorm

Lilykit gave a few sniffles before giving a small smile. "I'm glad your not mad or upset with me...and I appreciate that you made me something even if I don't have it. Should we go check on Lastingkit to make sure he is okay with the rattlesnake? It's kind of creepy and cool but I don't want him to accidently get hurt by it." The small kit felt much better knowing her friend didn't blame for any of this. She also knew that Lilykit cared about her and that Palekit felt the same for Lilykit. Even if they didn't get their exact gifts this rather weird event made the small kit appreciate her friend even more.

"What? That's Handsomepaw? Not you?" Handsome Jr blinked owlishly up at the cat he thought was his dad. "O-okay, mister. I better not find out you're just trying to hand me off to someone else! Cherrypaw said she would kill anyone who tried that!" With that, he turned to trot off into the throng of cats.
Cherrypaw's gaze softened. "Oh, the choker? I saw that, it looked so pretty..." she said dreamily. Her expression darkened as she remembered her own intended gift for her beloved. "...I'll get you your gift back somehow," she muttered, "even if I have to go through several of our Clanmates to get him. I mean, it. No spoileys!" Honeystorm
"Which kit?" Oh she'd be making a scene alright, Lavenderillusion was getting her catnip! The she-cat sat straight up, eyes quickly scanning the area. She'd steal it if she had to! Her tail nearly got ran over by the whizzing toy car she'd brought as a gift, but she barley paid it attention as she was desperate to find her plant. racer @atomheart
Fuzzykit had pulled off one of the leaves and was currently shreding it with his claws. At least it was good from something, and the destruction made him feel better about how bad his gift was. By the time Lavenderillusion would find him and the plant in the crowd, most of the leaves had been pulled off and shreded, not leaving a whole lot of the herb left for the she-cat pao @atomheart -----------> Lastingkit was chewing on the rattlesnakes tail trying to make it make the sound that he heard so much about. All the kits had been warned about the rattling and to stay away from it so that they wouldn't get hurt. He wanted to know what is sounded like first paw, oblivious to the oblivious that Lillykit and Palekit were talking about him ashestoashes @atomheart -----------> Carrottop watched the kit as it made its way over to Handsomepaw so that it wouldn't get lost, but keeping his distance biyuu ☆彡Honeystorm
