Honeysplash became more and more desperate to do something to help his daughter, but her body was becoming stiff between his paws "Ladybug, don't leave me yet" he began to pound on her chest the way he had seen the medicine cats do, but nothing he did got any response from her. Tears were streaming down his face, but he couldn't bring himself to give up on his hopeless task of breathing life back into her.Cleaver
Dragonfly was frozen. What was happening to his sister? He couldn't comprehend how things had changed so quickly as she struggled to breathe and collapsed on the floor of the den. Was the food poisoned? But he was fine. His tongue was full of stabbing pains and throbbing, but he was nearly certain that was because of the bee.
Finally, as his father shouted at him, he turned and ran. But despite yowling for help until his lungs were on the verge of collapse, he found no cat nearby.
He dragged himself back and stared at his sister. She was clearly gone, he knew it in an instant, but his father was still fighting. "Dad," he choked out, "Dad, stop. She's gone." He placed one paw on his shoulder and tried to pull Honeysplash away. "Dad, please, she's gone."

Honeysplash did what he could to keep her airway open, but he was fighting an impossible battle with the herbs needed to save her. He pressed on her chest, trying to keep her going until help could arrive "Hold on just a little longer" he pleaded, but when Dragonfly returned with no help and she had ceased moving he knew it was over. He slowly came to a stop, reaching up to gently cusp her face with his paw. One moment she was vibrant and arguing with him, and now... all she did was stare up lifelessly.
He moved his paw on the curve of her face, gently closing her eyes as he tried to keep his composure
Dragonfly sniffed. How could she look so similar to how she did in life? She should be horrifying, but she looked so normal. Not peaceful, her jaws askew and eyes wide, stiffening, but there was no gore. She looked like his sister.
“Dad... Dad, what do we do?” He wiped his eyes with the back of his paw.

"The only thing that we can do now" he leaned over to nuzzle his son "We will have to carry her back to SunClan and give her a proper burial... we can have someone look at her first, maybe they can explain why she passed away so suddenly" he stood on shaking paws, trying to stay strong for Dragonfly
The white tom stared at her body. Could– could he lift her? She would be heavy. But it was more than that. The thought of touching her, being so close to her body, made him want to retch.
But how could he make carrying her his father’s burden?
“Okay,” he mumbled. He took a step closer and laid one paw on her side. She was still so warm. He hesitated, swallowing hard to keep his meal down. “I... I don’t think I can grab her in my mouth...”
