Ferventprayer slowly padded forward, her paws still trembling as she tried to put on a brave face. Most of the corpses had been reburied, but there were so many that there were still remnants scattered through the field. Even with the newly planted sunflowers sprouting upwards to hide them, this place still unnerved her. What her father said still playing over and over again in her mind. That crying like that was just a disgrace to her ancestors and that she needed to just do what had to be done. She sat down with her tail wrapped neatly over her paws trying to steady herself before whomever she was going on a date with would show up. Honeystorm
Bravepaw wasn't exactly a good date to be given. Largely because there was little to no way he had any interest in she-cats, let alone the crazed culty ones that lived in SunClan. He sort of hoped his father might have picked out a cute tom, though he realized his hopes were all in vain as he saw Bloodystar's daughter sitting there. Unfortunately for the she-cat, Bravepaw wasn't quite so good at masking his disappointment as he approached, visibly wincing upon seeing her. He thought he might get embarrassed by whatever his father had in store... and this was worse than he had ever thought. He knew his parents wouldn't have picked her out for him.
The silver cinnamon tabby looked distinctly uncomfortable as he stopped in front of Ferventprayer, looking more like he wanted to run away than anything. Of course, she didn't exactly look to comfortable either, though maybe that had something to do with the scene she caused last time he'd seen her at the burial grounds.

Ferventprayer had been so stressed by her surrounding that it took her a moment to register Bravepaw's arrival "Bravepaw" she murmured softly, trying to shake off the feelings of guilt and pain that just simply being here had caused her "Sorry about that, being here is... hard" she swallowed hard trying to be brave for Bloodystar so she wouldn't embarrass him. This was supposed to be a date, not a therapy session, and she had no doubt that he had made the date here on purpose so that she could show how strong she was "Hungry?" she gently motioned towards the picnic that had been set up for them
"Yeah, it's kind of insulting isn't it?" Bravepaw answered her, "Setting you up somewhere that brings you pain." He glanced at the prey, then at her, and slightly shook his head.
"Um, I don't mean this to be rude, but can we call this date off? I'm, uh, not into... she-cats, really. Nothing against you it's just not going to happen. We can hangout as friends or something, but not... this." He motioned to the setup before them. "Maybe we can go have some fun elsewhere or something, but I don't want a date, let alone here."

"Yeah that sounds..." she paused looking up at him in horror "No we can't do that. Bloodystar set us up on this date, we can't just walk away from it" she looked even more freaked out after the talk that she and her siblings has with Bloodystar "You don't understand this date had to go well" she stammered afterwards "I'm sorry I didn't look into this, its just... This place" she shook her head trying to shake all the negative thoughts from her head "I promised dad that I would be brave and do my best. I can't go back and tell him we are just going to be friends... he will be so disappointed in me..." she shuffled her paws
The romance festival. Tenebrousrequiem hadn't experienced one yet as he hadn't left NightClan yet, a kit stuck at his mother's side. But when he'd noticed Bloodystar take Ferventprayer aside to tell her something, a sneaking suspicion had hit him.
He'd shifted close enough to get the first clue and then headed off.
To hunt.
He just... also happened to find all the clues, as he went. And the prey just hadn't been running very well, so it wasn't his fault he hadn't actually caught anything during his trip.
But then he learned where the last clue led and his stomach dropped.
'The burial grounds?! The burial grounds!'
Ferventprayer was very much not over the trauma of that night thank you very much. Nor was Tenebrousrequiem to be honest, even though he'd been attacked by the 'not actually dead' Mountainsound, the event had been rather terrifying. He couldn't imagine how much more frightening it had to be for Ferventprayer. A gentle sort who had just wanted her sister to live...
So blood boiling. Because really if he didn't get mad, he would never set paw in the burial grounds he stormed over to them.
Though quickly his stomps became soft steps once he passed the threshold into the graveyard proper, his pelt prickling as he lifted his head and scented the air for Ferventprayer's sweet scent, ears flattening as he went. High alert for the slightest sign the dead, well... weren't planning on staying dead.
It took him a while to near the clearing Ferventprayer and Bravepaw stood in. He came to a stop lurking in the shadows and peering out towards them, and he curled his lip at the sight he saw.
'A picnic in the graveyard.'
Bloodystar had absolutely lost it.
Tenebrousrequiem didn't know romance.
But being among the dead wasn't very romantic.
The only dead thing that was a sign of romance was y'know, bringing your beloved the head of their worst enemy if they had one...
"Why does it have to go well? I'm not going on a date with someone I have no interest in!" Bravepaw returned, already backing up and looking more and more like he intended to run. "Look, I get it, you don't want to disappoint him. But I'm not going to go on a date just to make you feel better, sorry."

Ferventprayer shuffled her paws back and forth, as he turned to leave. She stood up, gently blocking his path "No please..." she pleaded, ears drooping "You don't know my father... He..." she swallowed hard "He told me that I wasn't allowed to come back until I had my first kiss" she felt her cheeks heat up, her ears falling back with her head low
"He said that now that I'm a warrior its time to due my duty to SunClan, and find a mate. He wants it to be you because you are Duskslayers son... I know you don't like me, and to be honest I don't really like you either... but...." she looked like she was waiting to be hit
"I can't let Dad down again..."
Ferventpaw shuffled her paws "Look just give me one kiss and I'll leave you alone... I already have someone else that I like, but if we do this then maybe he will forgive me"
"Do I need to help you build a nest here then? ...Or?" Bravepaw was getting a bit irritated now, as he kept moving back. "I told you, it's not happening. I don't want to be your mate, I don't want to kiss you, and just because your dad is High Priest doesn't mean I'm just going to do that. Find some other tom."
Tenebrousrequiem bristled when he saw Ferventprayer look like she was bracing for a hit. His outrage rose more when he heard the irritation in Bravepaw's voice.
The gall of that cat! How dare he take it out on Ferventprayer!
"Hey! Don't talk to her like that!" Tenebrousrequiem growled as he stormed out of his hiding spot. "It's not her fault Bloodystar is a controlling jerk, so watch your tone! You want a nice tom, well you'd best beat it while the going is good!"
He turned to Ferventprayer. "As for you, what are you doing?! You aren't happy with this nonsense." The look of pain and desperation in her face and voice. She shouldn't look like that. She shouldn't look that way at all. She was supposed to be blissful and happy, and content. Not-not dejected and cowering under the power of her 'father'.
Anger renewed, especially since Tenebrousrequiem was woefully powerless to get rid of the real problem hurting Ferventprayer (and the clan as a whole). But there was at least one thing he could do. "But if it's so important-!"
He didn't give himself a moment to think, he moved forward and kissed her.
Bravepaw didn't wait for any further cue than Tenebrousrequiem telling him to leave to do so. No, it wasn't her fault her father was a controlling jerk, but also, that didn't mean he was just going to do something he didn't want to and wasn't comfortable with just because a tyrant told him to. "HAVE FUN YOU TWO! YOU'RE A WAY CUTER COUPLE THAN FERVENTPRAYER AND I COULD BE ANYWAY." He practically shouted as he bolted far, far away.

Ferventprayer was already on edge, nearly jumping out of her skin when Tenebrousrequiem's voice rang out over the field. Her heart began to race in her chest, What is he doing here? Oh no.. please tell me her didn't just hear that... she thought to herself, eyes following him as he came charging up to the pair of them.
Oh he had definitely heard that...
The calico she-cat felt her heart sink, seeing the fury in his every movement. The way he walked stiffly, and his fur bristled outwards. She sank down as he shoved the Bravepaw and told him to get lost "Tenebrou...."
She was cut off as suddenly the toms muzzle was pressed against hers. Her eyes widened in fright, before slowly closing and just enjoying the moment before he pulled away.
When she opened her eyes, Bravepaw was gone. Heat flooding to her cheeks, lost for words
Tenebrousrequiem pulled away, the anger bleeding away as he opened his eyes to look at her.
His fur immediately grew hot when their gazes met, and he averted his eyes.
"There, now Bloodystar can't complain." Tenebrousrequiem pulled away going over to the picnic and snatching up the items. "Now here, take this prey and go pick a spot YOU like."
He pushed the items towards her, not fully meeting her eyes. Embarassment pulsing hot through him that hed just barreled into a kiss with Ferventprayer like that.

Ferventprayer was flustered, but at least it seemed like Tenebrousrequiem was just as frazzled by the turn of events.
He avoided her gaze as he gathered up all the date supplies and shoved it towards her, telling her to go and pick a different spot. Tenebrousrequiem looked like he was ready to leave her to it, when her paw shot upwards to gently cusp his jaw to bring his eyes to hers.
She wasn't sure why she had just done that, but the thought of him leaving after kissing her like that drove her crazy, but now looking into his eyes she couldn't help but feel a bit embarrassed
Tenebrousrequiem had every intention to leave her to it. But when she said she wanted him to come with her...
Well he hadn't really had a chance to eat when he went off after her hunting.
"I guess it would be hard for you to carry all of this by yourself." He muttered. "All right." He said before pulling back, pelt even warmer now than before.
He moved to pick up the items once more. "Where do you want to take this picnic?" He asked. He of course had spots he liked, but since Ferventprayer had just been sent on a date in the place they both hated the most. (And was actively being bullied into a relationship). Tenebrousrequiem was more willing to let her set the mood.
Plus he felt like being inches from the muddy bank of the ice cold river, at the upper most corner looking towards the gathering place and NightClan territory beyond, was not a very romantic spot.

Ferventprayer's heart beat in her chest, and for a moment she thought he was going to refuse her request
But he didn't, at the last moment agreeing to go and trying to play it off like he didn't want to "I.." honestly she wasn't sure where she wanted to go, just somewhere that wasn't here. The calico she-cat batted her eyes "Maybe we could go to the sunning rocks by the river..."
Tenebrousrequiem nodded. "Then we'll need the blanket." He set back down what he'd grabbed and went back to fetch it. Cringing at the dead nearby as he went before he snatched it up and hurried over to Ferventprayer thrusting it towards her. "Here you carry this," He said, dropping it at her paws.
Then he grabbed the other items. "Right let's go." He said and moving at a quicker pace, pelt bushing out moved towards the exit stopping a tail length away to wait for her. Even though the tension of his body and how his tail was held stiffly up hinted at his unease.

Ferventprayer followed after Teneberousrequium carrying the blanket that was bigger than her. Even though she did her best to hold it up, it still drug on the ground a little bit as they made their way to the sunning stones. Her mouth to full to really talk
Once they got the to the beach she sat the blanket down, using her front paws to smooth it out while Teneberousrequium got sat up, trying to figure out the words to say. She was still worried about Bloodystar, but the thought of finally going on a date with her crush outweighing her worry in the moment
The tension eased from Tenebrousrequiem's shoulders once they were out of the burial ground. Though he kept his gaze focused ahead until they reached the river.
He set down some of the items while Ferventprayer set up the blanket breathing a soft sigh of relief. "I'm no romance expert, but this spot is much nicer than the other spot." He meowed, beginning to move the items atop the blanket once she'd smoothed it out. "Now sit down and take a moment, I'll get everything else set up in just a moment."
It didn't take him long, at least not as long as he'd wished as he still wasn't sure what he was doing. He took a moment just moving a mouse into position the positioning didn't really matter as he'd heard both his and Ferventprayer's stomachs growling.
The prey was likely to be devoured shortly, but he was just stalling to avoid having to sit down and talk.
