Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Kotori glanced up at the sunlight before pawing Zakiyyah awake, "This is the last chance you get a good chance of leaving. Vera E'tani doesn't care enough about any cats dragging their paws not wanting to come with. If you want to leave... Before your pristine soul gets covered in some kit blood I'd suggest now is the time."
In a lot of ways he wanted his sister to go home. In fact, if the league demanded he'd kill a kit after murdering and butchering so many cats he probably wouldn't have joined either. He'd probably have thrown the biggest tantrum this side of the land had ever seen. After all, killing two highly trained mercenaries, that was hard and then if he came to the league to find out he just had to kill a kit and didn't have to go through all the trouble of murdering so many he'd probably be unable to keep up his polite composure act. If anything his sister had it easy, but he also knew that wasn't who she was nor was it who he wanted her to be. Having a sister that's better at him at everything was and still is rough, but having a sister that was morally better than him. That never sucked.
Innocentia stretched out her tiny white limbs. The taste of kitty flesh and howls of pain still seemingly echoed into this morning. She had eaten well. Innocentia pranced over to the Shamans den, "I'd like some travel herbs!" She chirped in her usual childish tone.
Friday realised how real the move was. Yesterday, it had felt like it wasn't going to happen, but with everyone getting last minute things in order... It felt real. And she didn't know how much she was going to hate this change.
Usually, Senescence didn't arrive early to meetings, or even on time. She tended to arrive late, most often coming in from the territory, even at early meetings such as this. So it was odd to see her slipping out from the shadows, stretching and offering a long yawn before making her way over to Innocentia. After all, she white she-cat was one of the few tolerable League members, usually, and they'd worked well enough together yesterday. It was just enough to push her slightly over the edge of keeping to herself, mostly in an effort to dissuade others from talking to her. If anyone was annoying enough, her and Innocentia could probably be rid of the body before anyone noticed, she expected.
"Too late to back out now." Zakiyyah replied, drawing a paw over her ear to smooth the fur there, and then once across each of her eyes, rubbing away the remains of sleep. If she left now, then what had been the point of all this? For what reason did she suffer? Why did she break herself, if she was simply going to turn back? No, it was much too late for that now. She'd committed herself to the League, for better or worse, and she had to see it through. "We should probably go meet up with the others."
Arden stepped out after Batair, watching him for a moment as he went up to Vera to speak. He considered telling his son to come back, to not bother the Nemesis, but it was already too late. Vera would deal with him how she pleased. In the meantime, the Assassin looked for the other members of his family, his mate, Ava, and the rest of his children.
Blair wasn't far, thought the childish trainee was sulking already. By leaving everything... they were leaving his gallery as well. His pride and joy, with those cats he wanted to keep for an eternity. Who would keep the mice and other cats out? His claws dug into the earth at the thought. When they returned, if there was even a hair out of place, the moonstone eyed tom would slaughter everything and everyone who might've disturbed his creations.
Alexandria kept to herself this morning, off to the side as usual, though her gaze was looking for Desiree. Even if her sister hadn't spent time with her in ages, the huntress couldn't help but hope that her littermate made it to their new home okay.
Maia and Marah, for their own parts, stayed with their families, each ensuring their children were accounted for and ready for the journey.
Kotori fought with himself, he should be all too glad to have Zakiyyah. She wasn't bratty or over confident or annoying. But she lost a piece of who she was here and maybe that wouldn't have been so bad if he wasn't concerned she'd lose more pieces along the way, "Zakiyyah, you don't belong here. Why are you doing this? It wasn't for me, you never cared about me. Why would you copy following me here of all the places you could have gone, why me, here, in this place, at this time with that stupid can do attitude?"
His attitude drove everyone away and in a way he hoped it drove Zakiyyah away, from not just him, but here. If he really believed it was as fulfilling for her as it was him, he'd have welcomed it. But looking at her she felt out of place the way same way he felt out of place back home. It wasn't always the people that surrounded someone that made them bad, but the places they lived that starved them from any success. He wouldn't wish anyone to suffer from being in a place they didn't like. Not even her, not even when he really hated her would he have wanted to push all of his angst and hurt onto her.
Ava came up beside Blair resting her tail on his back. She knew Blair enjoyed taking trophies and stashing them, and that he took great pride in them. “Do you want any help securing your collection,” she asked bending her head keeping her voice quiet so only her son would hear. She doubted he would, but she’d promised her kits that they would want for nothing. She would make them strong enough to take it, or be ready to assist them herself. Arden and her kits made her dulled feelings come to life. She wanted only the best, and to see them pleased not down.
Zakiyyah watched Kotori for a few long moments, listening to his questions silently, and then remaining quiet a few heartbeats longer. He was wrong. So wrong, in fact, that she wondered briefly how he could be so blind. You never cared about me. Really? She may have been self-absorbed at times in the Regime, and blind herself to just how much he was struggling.. but she had always cared. She'd been ecstatic when he was promoted to Spy, had enjoyed growing up alongside her brother. His actions that day had shattered her in their own way, yet, never, not once, had she hated him. The Nightwalker had been angry, deeply, mindlessly furious at him. The only hate she felt was towards herself, for failing, for making him feel as though such drastic measures were necessary for acceptance.
She turned slightly, away from her brother, expression a mask of cold neutrality. "I have my reasons, Kotori." Zakiyyah stated simply. And that was the end of that. She had no intentions of discussing it further with him, not here, not now. Maybe one day, but not yet.
Blair's head turned, gaze locking onto that of his mother, ears pricking slightly at her mere presence. At her suggestion, his head swung to the exit of the ruins, then to Vera, and back to his mother. He didn't really need any help... everything should have been already secured, a few traps in place to catch any wayward creatures who might try to enter the gallery. Still, he gave a small nod. If nothing else, he wanted to see it one last time for his own peace of mind. "I just want to double check that everything is set up properly." He murmured, toying with the teddy bear for a moment before shifting it to his back and making sure it was secure.
Ava nodded rising to her paws, “Then lead the way, we have time,” she said. And even if they didn’t the league woukdn’t get too far ahead that it’d be beyond Ava and Blair’s ability to follow. She’d let Blair lead, she hadn’t seen his collection and she’d let him decide whether that’d change or not. Though she did wonder how many trophies her son had amassed.she was familiar with the teddy bear he’d taken which he never went without. How many others had her son gathered? 10? 20? Maybe more?
Driscal had climbed out of his nest, blinking the sleep out of his fireball eyes. He yawned, revealing sharp razor teeth. He quickly have himself a groom before joining the others.

With the slightest nod, Blair set off, his pace just a touch hurried as he trotted away. Hopefully Batair would keep Vera occupied long enough. It did occur to him he'd never had the opportunity to show her the collection. He found that rather disappointing, considering he'd managed to show both Arden and Vera his gallery. Since they wouldn't have time for more than a peek, he vowed to show her it in full when they returned. Hopefully it would be intact.
Despite the dire circumstances, Fujin looked entirely at ease as the rest of the League gathered, even daring to wear a smile across his face, laughter and merriment in every move the tom made. "Looking a little tired there, Driscal. You sure you're up to the task of the journey?" The green eyed tom teased lightly, flashing sharp fangs of his own as he made his way over to the just awakened hunter.
Kotori's ears flattened, "Alright. For better or worse we're on this journey together then."
There was no point in staying upset, if Zakiyyah wasn't going to go back home she wouldn't. He wasn't sure if that was what was best for her, but at the same time it was her right to decide where she wanted to live. And what was he supposed to do? Get mad at her and not support her? This was their only chance to be like family again. He wouldn't have been a good brother if he didn't try to shoo her away from a place like this, but if this was their reality now then he wouldn't walk away from this new beginning.

She wanted to sigh in relief that he didn't press the issue. Part of him did wish that he had tried to get more information, to give her a reason to argue with him. The larger, far more sensible part of her was glad he hadn't tried to dissuade her further. Truly, if he tried hard enough, he might've been able to, and more than that, she didn't want to feel the need to explain herself. Her gaze turned to the rest of the League. "Where do you think we'll end up, Kotori? If we're going on a journey, we may as well take a guess as to where." Zakiyyah didn't have much reason for the question, other than boredom, and a vague desire to keep the conversation going between them, instead of letting it fade into an agitated sort of silence while they waited for the Nemesis to lead them away.
Driscal gave Fujin a crooked grin. "Dont you worry bout me." He stretched before continuing, "I think this journey is a waste. We are fine where we are. We are wasting the little bit of energy that any of us have. The league is not fit for this journey." His grin disappeared and his expression darkened.
"Well it'll either be a wasteland cause Vera's tastes are leaned towards some kind of depression era or it'll be anywhere better than this place cause, let's face it. The leagues territory is already a death trap and we'd have to look hard to actually find somewhere worse than this. But I'm sure Vera E'tani would find a way if that is what she wished to do," He shrugged, "Personally, I like this death trap, it's home. But I'm okay with moving too. I don't know if it's permanent or not though. Hopefully we end up on an island like where the Regime rested when we had to evacuate. That would be great. Where do you hope to go?" He asked, glancing at Driscal.
"What a positive outlook he has on life," He snickered with a paw over his left jawline so Driscal wouldn't see it from his smirk.

"Ooh." Fujin laughed, his voice excited and light at Driscal's words. "Don't let Vera hear that, unless you want your skull separate from your body." His tone was lilting and song-like, almost taunting as he spoke, bearing none of the seriousness of his fellow hunter. Even so, his words were true enough. And inkling as to disloyalty, and one was as good as dead, no matter who they thought they were.
Zakiyyah tilted her head slightly. "The League is nice enough, but I do hope we move somewhere with lots of shade. I still find the sun a bit bright, even this time of year." That was probably as much as the former Spy would admit to missing her previous home. The Regime lived in tunnels, in the darkness, and that was still where she was most comfortable. The light felt harsh, and on sunny days, it almost hurt her eyes to be up too long, as she hadn't yet adjusted to the brightness that came with living above ground.
At first it was hard to find where the voice came from, but looking down Innocentia was a small white cat with a giant pink bow tied around her neck. She was staring up at her with big round yellow eyes, she looked more like a kittypet than a huntress and a small one at that.
"Have you seen Xithymia around? I can't seem to find her, I was hoping to get some of those traveling herbs and in return carry somethings for her, but I suppose not."
The bell around her bow jingled slightly as she tilted her head with a look of disappointment.
Illya slowly made his way out of his nest, not bothering to rush. This was a long journey to come, at least his second lengthy trek and he knew how it would tax him. He had managed to find a bit of unspoiled prey, snakes seemed to have been his best bet lately. The Russian blue had no attachments to take care of and now sat amongst the gathering cats. This would be interesting to see who would make it and who wouldn’t. Who would give up and who would walk themselves to death.
Mink-kun peered into the small crevice in the ruins that had been her home for most of her life. She was honestly a little sad to say goodbye, not sure what this new place would offer. Yet she knew very little outside the league, leaving her to weight her opinions last night. This journey was the one that seemed to offer more benefits and a higher chance of overall survival. She had not eaten very well at all lately but she was not going to give up. Slowly she made her way over to Innocentia in order to look for Xithymia. “Do you know how much she has?” Hopefully she could get a small bit of the herbs.
Ridge-chan looked around the group, he may be larger than most of the other kits though he was still a kit. When he had learned last night of the journey he had tried his best to get one of the trainees or hunters to teach him how to fight. He wanted to be prepared. More importantly he wanted to be able to take care of himself so his mother could care for his weaker or smaller siblings. At the moment the young kit had yet to be completely corrupted by the league. His brown tabby fur was britsled in a mix of excitement and nervousness.
"We'll make sure you get one," Innocentia promised, "You know I had a sister named Mink. She was the worst. Buuuut you're alright, we'll be alright Mink-kun. You're a trainee and you have a lot of work ahead of you, I won't leave you behind unlike some of the untouchables around here who don't even try. If we get moving we'll just find her along the way."
"Hey Ridge-chan," Sable-chan greeted.
Sable-chan was one of Vera's youngest daughters, but looked nothing like the Pravian bloodline or... Maybe she did, but her poofy kitten soft fur was covering up any bengal markings. She looked like a black swan with all of its feathers ruffled. There was hardly any face to her, just two amber eyes peering out at Ridge-chan with far to static induced looking fur, "Wanna have a fight before we leave? You know a quick battle to help prepare us for what lies ahead."

"Cats of the league," Vera called out, her voice laced with authority, "let us depart. There is no telling of the dangers that we may face along the way, but I am confident that those of us who are strong enough to make it through, will. Those of us who are too weak and die off .. well, were you ever truly born to live in the league?" The Nemesis allowed the question to simmer in the air while she descended the ruins, making direct eye contact with as many individuals as she cared to.
"I'll need two volunteers to go scout ahead. The rest of us will travel as a group."

Senescence was the first to raise her paw, perhaps unsurprisingly. "I'll do it." Anything that would keep the more annoying cats out of her way was preferable, and this was most certainly a way to not have to deal with the annoying voices. Besides, she was a cat who could handle herself just fine, and as such, would likely be good for the job, as she wasn't as likely as some to end up dead before being able to report back. She wondered, briefly, if Innocentia would join her, though she found that, ultimately, it didn't matter. If someone volunteered that she found intolerable, well, they'd be dead before long, and she'd just blame it on whatever danger made a plausible explanation.
