Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Lostelm nodded his head, motioning for Fisherpaw to get going. He watched the apprentice leave before tuning back him, pulling the FallClan kit closer to him to make sure they'd stay put but to also make sure they stayed out of the adults' way.
Blueflame, in pain but trying to hold firm, spoke up with a tilt of her head at the SummerClan cats. "We didn't allow him out. So logically, yes I would wonder if it's you're doing, wouldn't you?" She was trying to diffuse the situation, mostly because she knew she wouldn't be any help in a fight and as much as she believed in her daughter, there was on way the apprentice could take on the whole of the SummerClan patrol herself.

Bramblepaw was more than ready to fight the whole of the SummerClan patrol, despite the clear disadvantage, but she noticed her mother’s attempt at calming the tension between the two groups. She swallowed down a growl of frustration as she turned to FallClan kit. Surely, they could just ask him if he was kidnapped, then judging from his answer, they could decide if a fight was the logical choice here or not. Brown eyes softened as she looked at him, knowing that no matter how annoyed she was with him there would always be a soft spot in her heart for children. “Basilkit, can you tell us how you got out here? No one will be upset with you, I promise.” racer

The young kit was stuck between the unknown warrior's big paws, squirming around trying to figure out a way back to his clan-mates until the adults started arguing. His ears fell back against his he, crouching down to make himself smaller since they wouldn't let him go back to Bramblepaw and Blueflame. First the monster, and now a fight. This wasn't turning out to be quite the adventure he had been hoping for... He almost didn't realize Bramblepaw was speaking to him, his mind swirling with to many thoughts and emotions, having clearly overwhelmed his little body.
"I.." he stuttered something incoherent, still in shock from it all. But he dropped his four leaf clover as it fluttered down towards his paws Flurryofstars

Redflame watched Fisherpaw leave for the SummerClan camp before turning her attention back to Blueflame and Bramblepaw. Knowing they had no part in his being here, she was interested in hearing what the kit had to say for himself.
A normally easy-going cat, Ravenmask relaxed some after listening to Blueflame. He appreciated her attempt to defuse this tense situation. He never liked fighting but would do so if necessary. His eyes went to the kit as well waiting for him to continue.
Blueflame smiled at the little one, waving him over. "Come on now, tell us what happened. We won't be mad, I promise." She was a mother, she knew how to talk to kits, especially ones that were upset. Even though her own kit was right here, tense, stressed and frustrated with the whole situation, she knew she had to be there for the kit more than Bramblepaw at the moment. He needed her more. He needs that familiar tone, familiar scent, and comforting nature of a mom of FallClan.

Bramblepaw latched onto her mother's words and their sweet, consoling tone. It reminded her of her nursery days when the two of them were curled up together in a warm nest with the scent of milk around them. Even though Blueflame wasn't directing them towards her, she still felt herself relax a bit. Their bond must have been pretty strong, she realized, for something like this to affect her so much. And I almost lost her. While she waited for the kit to answer, her eyes fell to the four-leaf clover at his paws, but she hardly processed its presence. All she could do was try to fight down any trace of the anger and sadness that threatened to wash over her.

Basilkit pulled away from the unfamiliar cat that held him, going to Blueflame and pressing himself up against her. He still tremored, by at least her scent was familiar to him “I just...” he shuffled his paws “I followed you out of camp, because I wanted to go find a lucky charm to surprise momma with... She’s seemed so sad, and I wanted to fix her. Then I saw the clovers, and wanted to find one with four leaves. They are supposed to be good luck! Then the big scary stinky cats showed up and I hid in da bush. They got really close, so I knew I had to find you again. Then they started chasing me and screaming at me. I tried to find tha scent again... but I was so scared that I forgot about it and just Ran and ran... then the monster tried to eat me. It was loud, and made the ground shake! Then there were more monsters, they must of been hungry to, then I.... I don’t remember. Something grabbed me and then the scary cat had me and wouldn’t let me down”

Relief filled Ravenmask as he heard the kit's story. He had been a little afraid the kit might make up a story that the SummerClan cats stole him from FallClan. A kit who's not afraid to speak the truth! he thought, impressed that a young cat, even a FallClan cat would hold such a virtue. "We had no intention of frightening the kit," he meowed wanting to justify their actions. "We were only concerned for his safety."
"Yes," Redflame chimed in. "And when we saw the direction he was taking - running straight toward the thunderpath - I was scared he'd get hurt or worse. So we tried to get him to stop or to catch up to him but he was really quick."

"Well, now that that is settled, maybe we should be on our way?" It was a question as Blueflame knew that someone had gone to get the medicine cat, but part of her was sure these SummerClan cats would be ready to be rid of them. She eyed them, curious but also thankful they'd tried to stop the kit. One of them had even kept the little one close post trip across the thunderpath, making sure that he didn't take off again. A truly overwhelming adventure for the kit.

(Sure, that's fine with me.)
"But Graythorn hasn't come yet," Redflame meowed, concern showing in her voice. "Can you make it all the way back to your camp injured as you are?" Of course she didn't know the extent of Blueflame's injuries but getting squashed by a monster must be really bad. She'd heard stories of cats being killed instantly by those awful creatures. She looked to Lostelm and Ravenmask to see what they thought.
Taking Redflame's cue, Ravenmask meowed, "Well I think that's up to her," said nodding to Blueflame. "But if you decide not to wait, we'll still escort you back to the border."

(I'm good with it too)
Shaken up as Basilkit was and with Blueflame struggling to walk, Bramblepaw wondered if it was wise to make the return to camp alone. She wasn't sure her mom would admit to needing the help, but she wasn't about to let her risk her health any further for the day either. "Maybe, if we're not going to wait, we could use an extra paw or two to get back to camp," she suggested with a sideways glance at Blueflame. The words tasted sour as she said them, especially when she didn't know how the outsiders would respond. Having to ask another clan for help was bad enough. She didn't know if she could stomach a rejection too.
