"So what are the odds that mother put us all on the same patrol?" Fairytalehunt asked, referring to Fia Cendrillion.
All of his siblings were on the same hunting patrol as each other and given the size of his litter they were the only hunting patrol out.
"I think it makes sense, you can look for herbs and Fall can do whatever the heck animal whisperers provide," Harvestcharm said.
"Yeah well you can stop stealing the herbs I collect, I've noticed a lack of it in my storage. What are you stealing it for anyways?" Fairytalehunt asked his brother warily, although Harvestcharm never felt like a brother to him.
Harvestcharm's paws quivered slightly at the question, "I like to... Cast fake spells and stuff, just mess around with it, it's not that weird."
Fairytalehunt exchanged a look with Fallingleaves, after all that wasn't a harmless activity from what they had done. It felt a little weird knowing that Harvestcharm might try to replicate what they did.
"It's probably a SunClan thing, Fairytalehunt," Divinefavor explained, leave it to her to point out the divide between Harvestcharm, Sweetwheat and the rest of them right off the bat, "Any cat who believes in a deity like the Sun God would probably believe in witchcraft, too. Anyways, we should probably stop chit-chatting and focus on the hunt. At this rate we'll scare off all the prey."
Despite her somewhat harsh words, Divinefavor herself seemed perfectly calm and her voice was even. What she said was delivered like a fact not an insult and it seemed she was unaware that it could come across as a personal attack.

Fallingleaves stayed close to Fairytalehunt, quite intentionally placing him between herself and the other cats that had been put onto the patrol. There was little doubt in her mind that this was some ruse to get their rather odd family back together for some bonding time and she wanted no part in it. To be honest it wasn't that she was completely against the idea, but the rather blatant manipulation that rubbed her the wrong way. If she wanted the family to spend time together, she should just come right out and say it instead of this nonsense.
As their brother spoke, she to two glanced at Fairytalehunt. They had learned first hand the perils of working with such things, and the consequences that it could have. They would need to keep an eye Harvestcharm in the near future. Giving him a flick of her ear, she began to veer off on her own not really communicating with the rest of the patrol of her intentions, nor announcing her departure as she picked up on the sound of Sprouts chirps. It was subtle and soft so as to not alert prey in the area, but it meant that she had found something. She wasn't used to hunting in big patrols like this, but her and Sprout worked in quiet harmony.
Quickly finding sprout hovering over a burrow, Fallingleaves dropped down into a crouch eyes scanning the area. It was hard to know exactly where the prey would emerge after she sent Sprout inside so she had to make and educated guess and be ready to sprint to a different opening. One of her ears flickered back, and sprout diapered down into the tunnel

Princecharming was usually the peacemaker in these situations. Heck, she even walked alongside Harvestcharm. They worked together building dens a few moons ago, and he was a nice enough cat. Felt more like a friend then a brother, but that was probably a high praise in this group. But today, her golden gaze was far away. Zoning out into whatever distance they passed, she spoke plainly for once. "No need to be mean." And her voice ended on that, not even throwing in the flowery language she was known for. Nah, she was going back and forth over the play in her mind. It was only a few days away, and her mother decided to send her on a hunting patrol?! Princecharming needed to be back in camp, working on sets and costumes and lines or something. Not hunting.
"I agree, we can head out south then," Fairytalehunt said moving forward towards the treeline. He was helping out with herbs now, but it was clear he still had a good instinct for where the best hunting locations would be.
Harvestcharm scratched his claws against a smooth stone at Divinefavor's comment. "I wish you'd stop saying that, that I'm SunClan, I know it's basically a bad word. But we were literally born from the same litter," He kicked the stone into the air, the texture of the stone glimmering in the sunlight, "I guess you don't see me that way though," He said, keeping his eyes on the stone as it came back down, his paw swinging it into the sun for good, "I wish we weren't broken apart."
He retreated after Fairytalehunt at a faster pace, but only a few steps in the ground trembled beneath them before opening up completely swallowing the siblings whole. What started out as a quake soon became a sink hole as dirt, rocks, and bushes were being dumped in on top of them before they had much time to react.

Princecharming couldn't really blame Divinefavor for her attitude. Somethings would just wouldn't be the same with the truth out there. Would she rather live in blissful ignorance? Not really. But she could understand the perspective, but more as a reader of a book understanding a character than a person relating to someone else. If her gaze caught her sister's, maybe Divinefavor would have seen the absent mindedness. Or maybe the wish for her to play nice. It changed to panic though as the ground gave out under her paws and sent her tumbling down the sinkhole with the rest of her siblings.
On Harvestcharm's other side, Sweetwheat's ears were flat to her head. She didn't know what her brother was doing with herbs either, he had never seemed very interested in them back in SunClan, but she would defend him from the other cats in an instant. She could barely bring herself to think of them as family. They might share blood, but the DayClan-raised cats were nothing but cold toward her, and she had no interest in spending time with them.
"Don't waste your breath," she murmured, she was glad they had been broken apart and rather wished they had stayed that way. Harvestcharm was the only brother she needed. Her head jerked as a rumble reached her ears and she froze, her coat prickling as the ground started to give way.
"Harv, watch out!" Sweetwheat yowled. She lunged at Harvestcharm to push him to safety, but she was too slow and tumbled through the opening ground with him. Dirt crumbled beneath her paws and her breath hitched in fear as a rock nearly struck her on the way down.
The fur at the base of Divinefavor's neck rose when Princecharming accused her of being mean. Mean!? That was not her intention, she was just stating the facts, and she almost decided to just leave it at that up until Harvestcharm spoke up to defend herself. The ginger-and-white she-cat began to feel very attacked, but her expression remained even, she would not let them get to her.
"Are we really going to rehash this conversation? I thought by now we'd---" But she wasn't able to finish her thought as the ground opened up beneath her paws and sucked her into darkness. All she could do was flail blindly for purchase that was not there and try to steady herself before she inevitably hit something hard.

Falingleaves felt the earth give way under her paws, being farther out than her siblings she had slightly more notice as she tried to escape, but the sink hole was opening to fast. Her claws raked through the loose soil, her back legs pushing hard against the air to no avail. Soon there was nothing left to hold on to, and she was sent tumbling through the air. She tucked her paws in, trying desperately to land correctly in order to protect her stomach. Up was down, and down was up, as she hit hard against the ground
Loveletter tried to jump out of the way, though he barely managed anything at all, succeeding in only making himself fall down half a second later than everyone else. Which, in turn, meant he landed directly on top of Fallingleaves. "You okay?" He asked with a slight groan as he rolled off of her after a long moment.
Harvestcharm closed his eyes tight as he fell, but when he opened them against he could see his sisters face coming closer towards them as they both fell into darkness. Holding his arms out he pulled Sweetwheat in close, this time he kept his eyes shut. He didn't want to see what came next or the fright in her eyes.
"MEW!" Fairytalehunt cried out when he landed on his paws, the sting of the earth from the powerful landing gripped him, but slowly he began to touch his legs and head, "I'M ALI-" His paws gave out as Princecharming fell on top of him. Then Divinefavor... Fallingleaves and Loveletter. He really wished for a smaller litter.
Harvestcharm had blacked out on the ground, but had made sure to keep Sweetwheat safe enough to avoid the fall. Unfortunately for his curse that kind of pain wouldn't be going away.
"Is everyone else alright?" Fairytalehunt asked, emphasizing on the else as he certainly wasn't okay.
Loveletter rolled off his siblings, coughing slightly and standing up. "All my limbs are intact." He answered Fairytalehunt, turning to look at his brother but not exactly helping the tom get out from under the rest of his siblings. "Uh, need some help?" The tom questioned.

Fallingleaves groaned, and struggled to her paws at first. She could feel the cramps gripping at her stomach, but as she readjusted her position they eased off some of the tension there "I'm fine" she answered softly after a few moments, keeping as far to herself as she could in the small pace to try and adjust to their new situation. She looked upwards, but Sprout was no where to be seen... She could only hope that she had gotten to safety "I don't know where Sprout is" she added nervously
"Alright, we'll he's useless," Harvestcharm said as he tried staring up at the gap from an angle in order to avoid any debris that might continue to fall. "I've dealt with being underground a lot and we're not getting out that way. But your parents know where we were headed so it's probably best to wait for them to throw down vines for us."
"Okay, so Sprout's a sibling of ours?" Fairytalehunt guessed.
"You should just rest..." Harvestcharm suggested cautiously.
Sweetwheat felt herself land on something soft and squishy that absorbed the shock and realized it was her brother. She nuzzled him gratefully as she stood up, testing her legs. They were still a little shaky from the impact, but they would hold. "Thanks, are you alright? That one must be painful," she murmured sympathetically.
She looked up as Fallingleaves started to fuss about vegetables and frowned at Fairytalehunt's condition. "Harv, I don't want to argue with you, but are you sure we can just wait? He doesn't seem okay." Fairytalehunt was seeing an absurd amount of paws, he had to have some head trauma, even she knew that. "Maybe we should get him out of here."
"I'm okay...," Divinefavor said as she got back on all four paws. It was a lie, she'd twisted her hind left leg pretty badly in the fall and knew that she would be limping if there was room to walk around. She decided there was no reason to emphasize it given the fact that it wasn't life threatening nor did it impede her movement that much, "... And I agree with Harvestcharm. If Fairytalehunt has head trauma, we really shouldn't be moving him around much, although that's about the extent of my medical knowledge. Probably best to stay put for now."

Princecharming slipped down the sink hole before she react. And when she landed on something soft, a rush of relief hit her. But then two more bodies fell on her, and she could only roll off of Fairytalehunt as she tried to get her bearings. Her back hurt, badly. When she flexed her claws, she realized she couldn't move her back legs. It must have been the impact, or having two other cats fall on her spine. She could at least feel them, though they laid lamely in the dirt as she looked around. "Y-Yeah, I concur."
Harvestcharm's tail lashed to the side at Fallingleave's comment, he wasn't that much of an outsider. His mom was born and raised in DayClan and he had joined DayClan when he was still an apprentice. It wouldn't be that long before he could say he lived in DayClan longer than he did in SunClan. At least, he had been waiting for that day, but now he was beginning to worry that the others just... Didn't like him. That it didn't matter if he came from SunClan or not, he just wasn't likable. He always assumed that if him and Sweetwheat had just grown up with the rest of their littermates they would get along fine, but maybe that was just never destined?
He took in a breath, turning to Sweetwheat with a steady smile, "Yeah it hurt, but you're always worth any pain," Harvestcharm said reassuringly. His ears pricked at something, the silence coming from Princecharming right before she said she was alright. She was usually so talkative and Divinefavor was usually snarky? Maybe he was reading too much into it, but really the only one he assumed was fine was Fallingleaves. She was as abrasive as she always was.
"Alright, but let's all speak up if we're feeling numb or dizzy," Harvestcharm suggested, taking a seat, but as he did he noticed the vacant space where Fairytalehunt had previously been standing in.
Fairytalehunt was standing near the entrance to a tunnel, staring at it with wide eyes. At first it seemed he was having hallucinations, he moved to turn away, but as he did everyone could hear the faintest, is somebody out there? in too weak of a voice to make out as anyone they knew.

"What if we feel both?" Princecharming asked at Harvestcharm's suggestion. She thought just laying there would help, but she almost felt worse. The world was completely still but she still felt like she was spinning. Like a vortex was trapped behind her eyes. She loathed this feeling, but also wanted to remember it. Like it would somehow come in handy for writing later. When she rested her head on her paws, her ears twitched at the sound of something. "Did... anyone else hear that?"
