Vixenkismet was generally the bad news in situations like this... not the bearer of it. But whether they trusted her or not, she couldn't just let this one go. Honestly, she didn't want to believe it when Funk told her, though she knew full well he wouldn't lie, especially not about something so important. DayClan knew something was up the moment she hopped onto the pointed stones. She wasn't leader, she didn't belong up there. Even so, the clan would most certainly gather, if only to tell her to get down.
They didn't get much the chance to argue, however, before Foxbane began to speak. "DayClan! As you're well aware, I'm sure, Glowstar is dead, thanks to Bloodyrondo. However, there has been something bugging me, for a while. How did Bloodyrondo get the amulet and it's power that was instrumental to Glowstar's death in the first place? The amulet should have been here in DayClan." She took a deep breath, forcing her voice to contain some semblance of calm, though the fox-furred feline was clearly having a difficult time in keeping her composure over the news. "I have recently been made aware that Leucisticcrow is the one who gave Bloodyrondo the amulet... He directly gave Bloodyrondo the means to kill Glowstar."
She took another breath, clamping her mouth shut to keep herself from saying any more, at least until they started asking questions. She had to keep it together, when really, inside, Vixenkismet both wanted to break down in tears and tear Lucistic apart herself in anger. Instead, it all settled in the pit of her stomach, making her feel ill as she searched the crowd.
Burningsummer had been concerned when Vixenkismet came into the clan, moving with purpose towards the pointed stones. The newly named Immortal Council member trailed after her friend, coming to a stop at the bottom of the pointed stones. She sat down and looked up waiting for her to speak.
And when her words registered, Burningsummer's eyes widened, and her ears flattened. Then her teeth gritted together and she whipped around scanning the crowd. Unsheathing her claws and digging them into the ground, eyes narrowed into slits as she tried to spot Leucisticcrow.
"Oh come on," Cinnamonsavage meowed. "That's like the worst lie ever, if Leucisticcrow did something like that, he'd have offered himself up on a silver platter by now for everyone to wail on him. He loves that stuff. There's no way he'd have done it and kept it secret. He'd do it, and immediately come back and say 'LAY UPON ME YOUR WRATH' or something masochistic like that."
"Right?" Cinnamonsavage asked glancing towards where he'd last seen Leucisticcrow.

Wait. What? Goldenstar was speaking to one of the warriors when Vixenkismet took her place on the rocks. It was odd, but she was a relaxed enough leader not to worry about it. At the ex-priestess' first words, it was like a wave came over the camp. There was no such thing as getting over it right away, and many were still grieving. But to hear it again, from Glowstar's mate of all people, brought with it a pang of remembrance. It was like a collective sigh was made, but it wasn't relief. It was like the air was sucked from their lungs.
But then, listening to her words, it all began to fall together. Goldenstar was there when Glowstar got rid of the amulet. It was in Dayclan. And only someone true of heart would find it. It reminded her of the time Fairytalepaw walked into camp with such stress covering him and not telling her why. Of the Sunclan tom that burst through the camp just to see him. Of Funk E'tan's comment on the ballot. Was this the secret?
Goldenstar still didn't know the whole truth, but she couldn't let this go ignored. "Is Leucisticcrow here?" She yelled over the commotion.
Leucisticcrow's pelt felt hotter with every eye that turned to him. Suddenly the gathering felt more like a crowd circling around him. He would have never cared before, he definitely didn't care about anyone when he was in Primal Instinct or WaterClan, but here it felt different. Maybe because there were more people he loved, friends he didn't want to disappoint. He almost wanted to laugh, only because of the rage that festered in the clans eyes, but the knowledge that any pain they wanted inflict would only bring a masochist like himself pleasure. So instead he smiled, not because he wanted to smile, but because it was a forced muscle reflex no different than any other anxious gesture. Simply an unlucky nervous trait he had to smile at the worst moments, it never really mattered before, but now for the first time there was a pit of dread in his stomach.
Silently he moved up into the crowd until he was at the front of it. Every instinct wanted him to run, but his moms clan deserved a clearer answer than that. He looked to Cinnamonsavage then to everyone else "No, I did give Bloodystar the amulet, but before you go thinking I'm a Bloodystar loyalist let me make it clear. There's no mastermind ulterior motive to cause a chain reaction to get this kind of ending. I gave it to him because I wanted to see what happened," Leucisticcrow said, still smiling, "And now I know... What happened." He sucked in a loud breath of air to keep his voice from breaking, "I miss her and blame myself, so cheers to mom, dying the way she lived. Loving monsters and being utterly let down by them at every turn."
He knew that wasn't his true guilt, the real guilt came from knowing that if he had the chance to start chaos again, he would do it or at the very least, he hungered for it.
Cinnamonsavage's eyes widened, "You. Are you serious?" He said voice soft, ears pinning back, as for the first time in his whole life, it wasn't just his words that came out sharp, but his whole expression, and body language sharpened. Sharpened with pure fury at this cat who was his step brother.
The cat he'd been snarking with just earlier... who had almost taken their mother's place. Was the reason she was dead.
"You know I used to think that you thirsted for pain and trouble so much, that as soon as you made it you'd immediately take credit for it." Cinnamonsavage said sneering at Leucisticcrow. "It made you reliable in a way in my eyes. You'd do something and then eventually get your comeuppance. A weird twisted form of bravery and honesty in a way. I respected that."
He took a step forward, drawing himself up. "But you- this wasn't something new. How long! How long was that amulet in his paws! How long have you been sitting on this! Letting mom walk right into SunClan knowing full well what he had in his paws!"
Then he curled his lip. "No, no that doesn't matter. What matters was you sat on this. You didn't get in front of this, at least open yourself to getting the crap beaten out of you. No, you let this sit. You kept it hidden while you became within a breath of leadership, of taking mom's place. It had to come from Vixenkismet of all cats. One who's hurt DayClan more than anyone else. Because this was the one time you didn't have the guts to open yourself up to others wrath."
Leucisticcrow did sit there and take Cinnamonsavage's words, but lashed out at the last second, "It was because I didn't want to get HURT!" He hissed, "I can't choose to turn off the fact that I like pain, I've tried, it doesn't work. I didn't deserve happiness, but if everyone started beating on me for what I did that's what would happen. But... I also didn't believe it, I know everyone thought they saw the fire, but I was hoping it was an illusion, like last time. So I didn't even consider telling anyone at first because I needed to know. So I went to their camp, searching if they had her, that maybe they tricked us, but they didn't. She wasn't there..." He wiped at the sides of his eyes. He didn't mention that he told Funk earlier, that the nemesis didn't care to tell anyone until Glowstar died. Funk had loved him, believed things would work out, he let Funk E'tan down, everyone down.
Fairytalehunt stood up, "Only someone with a true heart could pick up the amulet, which is why I had picked up the amulet, but Leucisticcrow took it from me. That's how he got ahold of it in the first place."
Harvestcharm's eyes widened, he had never seen a traitor in DayClan before, how did they even take care of traitors? In SunClan they would be exiled or killed, maybe tortured a little first. In DayClan did they just all do a group hug and call it a day?
"That's also true," Leucisticcrow said in response to Fairytalehunt, "That's the whole truth though, there's no other underlying secrets. The truth is I was a sucky son, I was reckless, she paid for it and I wish I could truly suffer without joy, but I just don't know how."

They were cut from the same cloth was all. He wasn't sure if Vixen felt his presence but he was up there next to her, placing his paw on her's. Because if Funk was in the same situation as Lucistic, he would have done the same thing. The two lived for chaos, thrived in it. And they were able to keep their emotional attachment away from such places. Able to laugh it off all the day because they were never hurt. Not until now. So when Funk looked at Lucistic. No, when he looked at his son, it was a mix of grief and disappointment. In both of them. ~~~ "I see." Goldenstar cut through the group, like a knife through butter. Her presence parted ways, though she rested her tail on Fairytalehunt's shoulders for a moment before continuing on. That was the whole truth. Someone, most likely Bloodystar, convinced Fairytale to find the amulet. And then Leucisticcrow stole it and gave it to Bloodystar. For the chaos.
None of them could have predicted this happening, but it didn't make things easier as she approached him. The one who almost became leader, and only lost by two votes. Half the clan wanted him as leader without knowing of what he did. Goldenstar's expression softened some when she reached him. "Unless someone has an argument otherwise, I will take this as fact. And while I know you didn't mean for this to happen, I cannot let you get away scot free or with what you want." It was a hard thing to say, to figure out what to do.
"First, I'll see that you have the mark of a traitor on you. I'll have the medicine council give you sedatives and pain killers to make it as pleasant as possible. Secondly, your Maverick class will be stripped of you. You are now a Forsaken, and your name will henceforth be Disloyaldog. I believe in redemption, that you can earn the trust of the clan and get your name back. But it must be proven. You must show true remorse for your actions. And if you would rather not, then please leave by the next sunrise and don't come back." It was harsh. Goldenstar's voice cracked a few times. She didn't want to do this. But it was what had to be done.
Cinnamonsavage allowed Goldenstar to finish, but he wasn't done. He had something left to say.
"I doubt it'll hurt you as much as you deserve to suffer. But I'll treat you as I do everyone that wronged me and mom. You don't exist." Cinnamonsavage said tail lashing. "And maybe that will be punishment for someone who thirsted for chaos and pain so much. You get nothing." Cinnamonsavage spat at the tom's paws before turning, tail pointedly flicking Disloyaldog across the face before he stormed away to the other side of the group. He sat down keeping his back turned to the forsaken.
Leucisticcrow nodded his head in understanding, he wasn't sure what he expected from the council or newly appointed leader, but he knew it wouldn't be nothing. His head lowered like a scolded dog as Goldenstar listed out his punishments, accepting each one. By the end anyone could see that he was unlikely to leave, there was an unmistakable amount of shame that darkened his eyes. "Underst-"
Cinnamonsavage moved in front of his face, as is the job of the obnoxious younger brother. "That wounds me, Cinnamon, I'm hurt," Leucisticcrow said in what was probably the nicest response he could have given him. Especially when having Cinnamonsavage ignore you was a luxury no one else in this clan had.

Vixenkismet's words had caught Snowthorn off guard and at first, he'd been confident the she-cat was lying. That was, until Leucisticcrow himself admitted to giving Bloodyrondo the amulet. He had been processing the information, twirling it around in his mind until he decided that the news was just as exciting as it was awful. Leucisticcrow had aided in the death of Glowstar but he had also painted himself a traitor to the clan. Would the imperial's reputation be affected by his servant's betrayal? He was almost positive someone could or would use it against him, but he wouldn't sit back, slack-jawed as his maverick was punished. Leucisticcrow had, after all, proven himself a very valuable asset.
He allowed Goldenstar to list the consequences Leucisticcrow--now Disloyaldog--would face, and then the imperial stepped through the crowd until he stood beside the black-furred tom seconds after Cinnamonsavage had stormed off. "Goldenstar," he greeted with a dip of his head. "I don't mean to subvert your authority here and the punishments you've listed certainly fit the crime. However, I would like to make a suggestion. In naming Disloyaldog a forsaken, you will be stripping from him the right to retain a mate. While I agree with your choice in demoting him, I feel it shouldn't be allowed to harm his loved ones." His mouth felt dry as he stood there, defending a maverick of all things! How ironic all of this was. He wondered if his servant was as surprised by this as he was. Yet, he kept his eyes focused on his new leader. "In lieu of this rule, perhaps we could consider removing his element?"
"I forgive you," Yuccablossom said, resting her tail-tip on Leucisticcrow, no, Disloyaldog's shoulder, "I know you didn't mean to hurt Glowstar, or anyone. You just... you just couldn't help it."
She surprised herself to feel tears rolling down her face. She wasn't sure exactly what she was crying for, though, the punishment her father was facing was fair. No, after a few moments Yuccablossom realized it was probably his pain she was feeding on, the pain that he had convinced himself that he loved, but really, who actually enjoyed pain? It was like Stockholm Syndrome, suffer it long enough and you'll learn to love it because the other option is worse.
Yuccablossom turned her gaze to Cinnamonsavage after wiping away the moisture from her eyes, "Cinnamonsavage, that's enough. He has admitted his mistake and will take his punishment. The more you talk down the him, the worse you make yourself look. It isn't what Glowstar would have wanted anyway and you know it."
Disloyaldog caught sight of a shadow moving to his side. Looking to the left of him he realized it was Snowthorn, he was actually defending him, well kind of until the part about the element. The part about being permitted to keep his mate Gravelshell despite Forsaken rules was kind of him. Especially when most of the time Snowthorn treated him as a servant first, person last. His tail twisted around his leg in discomfort
"No, that's- I don't want to lose my element too..." Disloyaldog said quietly. He knew he abused his element to give Bloodystar the amulet, that it was a reasonable request. He didn't know why he felt attached to it, especially when he didn't always have an element, in fact he only got it less than a year ago, but he was attached to it. He turned to see his daughter who he had gradually learned to be more fatherly towards. "Thanks girly," He said, smiling sincerely just for her, he kissed the top of her forehead.

It was a fair punishment, least in most of the feedback she got. And Goldenstar couldn't help the sigh of relief. At least, until Snowthorn came up. A couple clanmates were suspicious of him, and she couldn't really blame them. She didn't quite know his connection to Tigerlily, why he would have been chosen as deputy under her. It didn't help that Disloyaldog was immediately defensive of his element. It was one of those parts she didn't really get as of late.
Goldenstar lowered her head, rubbing one of her paws against the top of the other in silence as she thought. "It is true. I would rather not hurt your family with this decision. I'm sure you'd choose them over your own element, right?" She looked up at Disloyaldog.
Disloyaldog stared at Goldenstar for a few moments, the glow in his eyes dulling with every passing second until there was nothing left in his gaze but darkness. The element was worth more than power, it was all he had left to hang onto of his parents. He had to choose to let go of a sentimental piece tied to his soul, irreplaceable or his family, even more irreplaceable. Just because the answer was obvious it didn't make it any easier to say. But he was Gravelshell's mate and Yuccablossom's father before being Glowstar's son. If he had to let go of the element It was true, he didn't need his element, he had lived most of his life without it, but it was also all he had left of his mother and father. At the last moment he bowed his head to her, "If that's what you think I deserve I'll surrender my element."
Autumngossamer side stepped up to Goldenstar, whispering to her with her face still pointed to the crowd, but her voice low enough for only the leader to hear, "Do you know how to do that?"
Cinnamonsavage snorted, he pulled away from Yuccablossom. He let out a laugh. "Oh silly me, I didn't realize your mother had died too and you went up and made a grand gesture of offering forgiveness to the one who ensured it went down. Oh wait that didn't happen, and your father happens to be the reason my mother is dead. So hmm, no I think I'm quite justified in thinking he's lower than dirt and not fit to continue to walk the earth."
His tail lashed behind him. "Now buzz off, I'm not interested in your pleas for me to give a rats behind about that stain on our family tree." He said with a curled lip.

It was hard to watch the light slowly leave Leucisticcrow's eyes. What was once a friendly rival was now directly tied to Glowstar's death. His own mother's death. Goldenstars mentor's death. Possibly even more. She never really cared for the new class system, finding it more of a pain than something useful. But most of the clan agreed to it, even living by it immediately. Her glance went to the crowd for a moment, all watching her. Autumngossamer's presence was the only reason she couldn't let herself run off. "I have no idea." She whispered back immediately, without a second thought. Goldenstar lived in her own bubble, where Fia handled most of the magic things she couldn't wrap her mind around. Her claws tapped on the ground in thought.
"Give me a moment," Autumngossamer said, closing her eyes for a long moment before they burst open with such an effect anyone would think they would begin to change color and begin to glow. Instead her honey brown gaze turned back to Goldenstar, "One paw on his forehead, close your eyes, and feel his fur, the bone beneath the fur, latch onto the details and the feeling of a soul will come to you. Latch onto it and pry it from him with your paws, it'll be almost ribbon like and wrap up into an orb in your paws. It'll be up to you to absorb it, store it into an item, or store it into an item and destroy said item and therefore the element."
Turns out after destroying a corrupted god that forced SunClan ancestors in StarClan to either comply with him or never effectively communicate with the living made the angels upstairs grateful to her enough to chat it up with her. Such as giving her visions and not always tricky omens and prophecies like they often did for others.

"Weird." Goldenstar muttered to herself. She disappeared for a moment into her den before coming out with a multicolored stone in her mouth. It was dark as the abyss, with flashes of multi-colored lights in it. She placed it next to her before turning to Disloyaldog. "I won't destroy it." Goldenstar said, like she was trying to give him some comfort in this. "When you've proven yourself, you may have it back if you wish." She definitely felt pressured into this, as everyone watched her. But she didn't want to hurt Gravelshell and Yuccablossom more than this had.
Even for being a rather large cat, she straightened herself up, almost leaning on her two back paws to reach Disloyaldog's head. One paw on his forehead, it was gentle against him. But closing her eyes made each short hair stand out against her paws. The bone underneath strong yet hollow, even the ridges in the brow stuck out to her. But a feeling of the soul? Goldenstar didn't quite know what to expect. She'd expect it to be warm and glowing, but instead, she felt a chill and strings like grass against her paw. She kept her claws sheathed, but she caught one of the fluttering tails. Pulling it away, it wrapped around her paws as if yarn kittypets played with. But it was stronger, harder. One of her eyes peeked open and found the trails to be as black as night. This. Was an element? Any words she had were caught in her throat as the ribbons coiled around her like a snake. Once it seemed done, she took a shaky step back and placed her paws on the stone. The strands seemed to understand without any words spoken, wrapping around the stone before sinking into every crevice it had. Goldenstar could have sworn she could see past the surface, into the depths where the element settled. But it would have just been a fantasy as the process finished. The stone looked exactly the same it ever had.
Disloyaldog shifted his paws when Goldenstar left, tempted to dive into the shadows to never return. But Gravelshell was here, Yuccablossom was an Immortal Council member, they had a perfect life here only messed up by his choices. It wouldn't be like he could run off to the city either, Funk E'tan didn't want to see him. That was something he wanted to respect even if hiding out in the city would have been convenient. Even if he ran off to another clan none of it would feel like home without his family. Seeing the leader return he straightened up spotting the gem stone she had. He should have felt comfort in his element living on, but instead there was a raw kind of panic blooming in his heart that he liked. An inescapable feeling of dread that this was really going to happen, he was surrendering himself, it wasn't often he got to feel the luxury of helplessness.
He smirked slightly seeing Goldenstar reach up onto her toes to reach him before bowing his head to her. They were family after all, if he disrespected Goldenstar his sister would be on him in moments.
Initially nothing happened, but once Goldenstar grasped onto his element he could feel the air leave his lungs. His legs were trembling by the time she removed it, a dark vignette closing around his vision. He was struggling to not faint, but slowly began to lie down before collapsing completely, his energy to stay awake completely gone.
"I'm sure that's perfectly normal," Autumngossamer said with a wave of her paw, but immediately chewed at her claw, "But I also wouldn't know since we've never done this before. I'm sure it's fine though," she said chewing at another claw.
