Today had been ribbon day, which was the day Innocentia tied a ribbon around each of Misty's kits necks whether they were excited for it or not.
"Now that we got your neck tied up in that ribbon it's time to explain to you what each color means!" Innocentia exclaimed like it were about to be something they should be delighted about.
Innocentia smirked as she turned to see Misty seated in her nest at the back of the room. Her spirit successfully destroyed after quite the amount of work she poured into making Misty snap. First she had to take one of her daughters, Viatrix away from her to punish her for not "playing by the rules" by trying to sneak her little kit out of the league. No one was avoiding these ribbons. Then when she leashed her in the back wall of a prison, making her watch as she ate up her sons leg.
Misty stared back with her usual dull expression towards Innocentia. The proxy had made the fatal mistake of confusing her expression for broken, but there was a murderous rage behind her empty eyes. The only thing that could save Innocentia was her own laziness to gain revenge, but everyday she pushed her harder and harder. Today was the day she was going to kill Innocentia, it just felt like a nice day to do it.
For the kits though it just seemed like a perfectly normal day. The room was a big enough space for them to not get bored playing in, despite their room being a prison it simply never felt that way with the cozy atmosphere. Their mother Misty had never given any signs that they were in danger and had raised them with as much emotion as she was capable of having. Getting ribbons was the most exciting thing to happen outside of getting new toys to play with.
Viatrix-chan stood closest to Innocentia, she didn't really seem interested in the other kits, they were mostly strangers to her. Her big blue eyes shined brightly as her adoptive mother tied a beautiful blue ribbon around her next and she hadn't quite stopped purring since: She loved being dressed up! Before long all of the kittens were decked out with ribbons of varying colors. Even though the blue was the prettiest - and she had a whole hoard of all the other colors at her disposal back home - she felt a stroke of jealousy seeing everyone else wearing them, too. But she knew better than to complain about something like that to Inno.
"Oh pwease tell me what the colors mean!," Now Viatrix-chan's little heart started the race. She wasn't the only kit with a blue ribbon, but she was supposed to be the favorite one of them all! Did this mean that Innocentia loved some of the other ones as much as she loved her?! She wouldn't stand for it and shot the other blue-ribboned kits dirty looks while she waited for an answer.

Wrenley didn't return her sister's dirty look, or even spare her a glance at that. She sat perfectly still, teeth grit as the fluffy white she-cat tied the ribbon around her neck. Though it was no where near tight enough to do so, the tanned tabby she-cat couldn't ignore the choking feeling of the ribbon at her throat and had to force herself to breathe normally. She didn't try to speak, letting Viatrix do all the chatting, even if it did annoy her.

Delgado-chan pulled at the purple ribbon that had been tied around his neck, not amused like many of the other kits were. In fact he down right hated it, his lip curling up in utter disgust. It wasn't that the feeling of it bothered him, but he hated change and this was something new. His pulling got rougher as he tried to get off the knotted ribbon "Excuse me miss, but I am not wearing this. I apologize for the effort you put into it" he mewed with a look of horror on his face and he hadn't even been told what it meant yet "but can you remove it now? Its makine me uncomfortable"
Reznor-chan leaned back as the ribbon was wrapped around his neck. It was strange and kind of funny, but as he shook his head, the white ends of the ribbon flopped about. Immediately a spark lit behind his blue eyes. Oh, fun! He fell into a crouch and crept toward his sister, grinning to himself, then lunged at Wrenley. He couldn't care less about what the ribbons meant, he just wanted to play with them! He caught the end of Wrenley's ribbon in his jaws and growled, tugging fiercely back on it.

Wrenley let out a strangled cry as her neck was jerked backwards, the ribbon tightening around her throat further. Panicked the tabby kit flailed frantically, clawing at the ribbon trying to get it to come loose. In this moment she knew it was end, she was to be strangled to death by a shiny strip of fabric. Just when the youngling had accepted her fate, with a final tug the ribbon came free, and Wrenley fell forward, laying on the ground gasping for air, unaware of her brother had been the cause.

Evangeline-chan swatted at the end of the ribbon around her neck, the rich purple color popping against the sandy shores her fur was made up of. It hadn't clicked yet what it meant, but it would soon. She pounced forward, batting at the end of Delgado-chan's ribbon with more delicacy than Reznor.
"Aww so cute," Innocentia cooed as she watched the kittens play.
"Yeah, that'll be real fun when I have to get them to nap today," Misty said sourly.
Innocentia ignored Misty's comment, "If you have a purple ribbon it means you will serve me, hunt my food, be my food, whatever I want you to be, but I won't kill you, I pwomise! A blue ribbon means, congratulations! You don't have to worry at all about anything bad happening to you, you just have to give me your first born kit, that's all," She purred, "And then the white ribbons, the worst one, because I'll eat you when you're twenty moons old. That's when you're ripe enough to eat, anytime before then would just be too early to have a good meal," She explained before smiling a large cheshire grin at Wrenley-chan and Delgado-chan, "Which means you'll never be allowed to take those ribbons off or it gives me permission to chow down on any of you. Those ribbons are there for your safety from here on out."
Reznor snarled in victory as the ribbon sprang free in his jaws. He fell onto his back and tangled all four paws up within it, nibbling on the delicate ends and ignoring his family. Once Innocentia began to speak, however, he stopped and tipped his head back to listen.
Ooh, the ribbons meant something? He examined the blue ribbon between his paws. That meant Wrenley had to give up her firstborn, that was unfortunate but he didn't think it was that bad. His heart beat excitedly as he waited to hear what his own white ribbon meant.
Wait. Did she just say... she was going to eat him? His face fell as the young tom stared at her in shock, uncomprehending. "But... I don't want to die. Can I take Wrenley's ribbon instead?"

Evangeline-chan snapped her head towards Innocentia when she spoke then looked down at her ribbon. Serve her? But Evangeline barely knew Innocentia. And serving her would probably mean she'd have to serve Viatrix and Huxley too. Gross. They were childish fears, ones that would grow as time went on. But for now, she was admittedly happy that she wouldn't get eaten and started biting at the ends of another of the kits' ribbons.
"Aww, well that's too bad future food," Innocentia giggled into what should have been a cackle of laughter, but was just cute high pitch bouts of laughter.
That is until Misty Rose out right tackled Innocentia, her speed was supernaturally quick for someone as lazy as herself. Innocentia snapped, gripping Misty's throat, her dipped in teeth making it impossible for Misty struggle free unless she lost a chunk of her flesh. Unfortunately for Misty that was happening one way or another. With a quick jerk of Innocentia's head she flung off good chunk of meat from Misty's throat watching as the blood gushed out from the she-cats throat followed by the satisfying thud that followed.
"Yummy! A new treat," She said in a cutesy tone, already skipping over to collect the flesh she tore out from Misty's throat like a puppy chasing after a ball. Returning back with the small piece of meat in her jaw she spit it out at Misty's face, watching the she-cats glare grow weaker and weaker as the blood left her. Innocentia smirked leaning back over Misty's face to use it as a chair for her to lean over, "Anyways kitties, that is what'll happen to you no matter what if you cross me! Now then, let's get to practicing, hm? Evangeline come file my claws and-"
Misty's jaw bit around Innocentia's back, a sickening crack could be heard that produced such a howl of pain from Innocentia it could be heard across the entire base. "OW OW OW OW OW OW OW!!!" She screamed and struggled, before turning into a sobbing mess as Misty bit down onto her harder, "SENESCENCE! SENPAI!" the proxy cried out desperately.

"What on earth is going on in here??" Tempest hissed as she entered the scene. Taking in everything that seemed to be going on at once. Her honey amber eyes darted from the bleeding Misty Rose who had her teeth sunk deep into a sobbing Innocentia. Not to far away was a litter of wailing kits complaining about ribbons, one of which was dramatically gasping for air and was that a piece of flesh laying on the ground by Innocentia? With a defeated sigh Tempest bounded over to Misty, sinking her teeth into her scruff and hauling her off the punishment proxy as best she could seeing as she was only slightly bigger than the proxy herself.
"Will you two knock it off?" she growled around her mouth full of Misty's fur.

"Glad to see everything is going better than I expected." Funk chuckled to himself as he glanced around. There was only one chunk of flesh, he was ready to come see the kits covered in blood. As Tempest went to separate the two, Funk slid over to Wrenley-chan, rubbing her back with one paw as the other lifted her chin to look at her throat. "In through the nose, out through the mouth. Take it nice and slow now." No trauma to the neck, that was good. He let go of her chin, looking up to watch the now three cats fight with amusement.
Imagine any time you've gone to a shopping center and some poor mother's kid is screaming at the top of his lungs because she refused to buy him another candy bar. Or your kid sister saying no-way am I getting out of bed, brushing my teeth, getting dressed and going to school, nope, over my dead body with particular fire.
There was fear in Viatrix-chan's scream too, but it was dwarfed by her more practiced siren-level whine, which would be sure to draw most eyes on her as well as anybody in the near vicinity's curiosity.
"DON'T YOU TOUCH MY MAMA YOU FAT COW!" Viatrix-chan screamed again, flinging herself at Misty Rose and biting down right where Innocentia had already wounded her. Her bite surprisingly packed quite a punch since Inno hadn't taught her anything about bite inhibition. After getting a good grip, she began to shake her head like a dog would a rabbit, putting her whole body into it.
Senescence was hard to miss when she arrived, though she moved at such speed no one could reasonably stop the large feline, rather they ended up bowled over. Now Misty Rose was covered in three cats, and the Proxy had a dangerous, dark look in her eyes like she was going to kill the she-cat for hurting her mate. The she-cat didn't hesitate to shove Tempest out of the way, leaning over Misty Rose to shove her paws against the other's muzzle, digging her claws into the queen's mouth as best she could, one on the top of the she-cat's jaw, the other on the bottom, and then Sen began to pull, working to force Misty's mouth open using brute strength and all the pain her claws digging into the sensitive flesh would give to free Innocentia. "Let go, Misty." Her voice was low and blank, gaze far too calm as copper seemed to bleed over her eyes for a long moment before blinking away, a mere trick of the light, it seemed.
"Pull harder," Innocentia said, her eyes welling up with tears as she turned in Misty's grasp swiping at her.
Misty was fairly content dying so long as she took Innocentia down with her, latching on tight, her back legs kicking Tempest hard while her front arms gripped Innocentia closer, this time getting a better bite into the tiny proxy. That was until Viatrix bit into her throat. Misty released Innocentia briefly grabbing Viatrix-chan with her teeth she skidded her daughter away across the floor. Turning back around she spotted Innocentia trying to crawl away, but gingerly walked over to her grabbing her once more this time around the throat. She was running on pure adrenaline, nothing more. It was a good thing to because without it she would have been a goner especially when Senescence latched onto her, pressing her paws between her muzzle. She didn't stand much of a chance to resist the proxy's command. Innocentia throat was one snap away from breaking, but no matter how hard she bit down she couldn't fight the force of Senescence's paws that kept her from prying down. Growling Misty opened her muzzle, releasing Innocentia.
Innocentia was bitten up and slashed all over, but there were no serious injuries other than her leg being twisted during the fight. Misty was much more critical, but seemed less bothered, as though it were only a scratch.
"I'm going to KILL YOU FIRST THING TOMORROW!" Innocentia hissed, although her voice was hardly menacing, more of a shriek than anything.
"Do you want me to kill her for you, Inno?" Senescence voice was dull as she slipped easily between Misty Rose and Innocentia, simply staring at the she-cat whose kits Innocentia had stolen, her face expressionless, like a robot running on autopilot. All her mate had to do was tell her to attack, and she would. The only reason she hadn't just gone for the kill was because Innocentia had just said she wanted to be the one to kill Misty, and she wouldn't take that from her if she wanted the credit.
Viatrix-chan was wholly unwounded in the ordeal, but she was still covered in blood. Innocentia's blood, Misty Roses's blood, both of it mixed together and stained her blue-gray fur an eerie crimson. When her body stopped rolling she scrambled to her paws but was disoriented, stumbling in the wrong direction at first before finding her footing and heading back over to all three of her moms. By this time Sen had separated the two she-cats so Viatrix was left with nothing between her and Innocentia.
She didn't so much as blink when Innocentia shrieked and instead brushed up against her, smearing her white leg with blood, although it was probably already covered in it, "Are you gonna make it, Mama?" Most cats she saw with this much blood spilled didn't last long, but in her life she'd seen more corpses than living cats, so to say she was desensitized to death was an understatement.
"Yeah, I'll-" Innocentia took a good look at herself to be sure, "I'll be alright," She smiled back down at Viatrix-chan. Turning around Innocentia stared Misty down who immediately blinked at her, showing little interest in a staring contest.
"I want you to kill her Senescence," Innocentia said, if her hatred was a fire it was roaring in her eyes now, her yellow hues burning brightly. She found joy in the idea of Misty's demise.
Misty's claws unsheathed, taking a step back, "You can execute me away from my kits."
"Oh! Can we torture her to death? Have a family night to have fun with her?" Innocentia suggested to Senescence, almost sounding better already at the chance at revenge.
Misty's gaze was dry as a well from emotion as usual, although this time she felt a tug on her heart. She had been excited to face the end of her life for a long time now. But knowing that her family would be hunted by a cannibal like her without her around to kill her, that brought her dread.
