"Thank-you," Misty said so casually it was like she was thanking Senescence for giving her a bathroom break.
Innocentia narrowed her eyes, even knowing Misty was going to die wouldn't bring her any pleasure until she saw the fear in her eyes, maybe even a helpless look. Heck if she could just for once act hopeless she would have less of a grudge on her, but nothing seemed to move her. Not when she stole her kit or ate her sons leg in front of her. Sure there was hatred, but that was all she ever got out of Misty it was always boring. She had even done research into Misty, she wasn't like Senescence who had a rough past, Misty had a nice life so why was she so emotionless? Her own daughter at such a tiny age even tried to go for her throat and Misty still had no reaction! What kind of torture could they do to top that.
"Can you imprison her Senescence, I have to wrap it up with the kiddos," Innocentia said, limping over to Misty's kits. The leg would fix itself with some rest, but currently it would mean hobbling around a bit.
Misty walked over to Senescence's side looking back at her kits, "Don't die easy," was all she said before continuing out the door with the proxy. Not even an I love you came to mind for her.
Innocentia's yellow eyes latched onto the kits once more, "See that, your mothers being dragged off to her death. A lot of you have a chance to live so maybe shape up and remember who you're messing with if you decide to take off those ribbons again. I can always switch them out for some of your other siblings white ribbons, I'm sure they wouldn't mind the trade."

Funk let out an exasperated sigh as the chaos unfolded around him. He would have chosen to ignore it, least until the topic of executing Misty Rose came up. "Enough!" The bengal Nemesis snarled, a rare side they barely got to see as Funk left Wrenley-chan. She'd be fine. At first, this had mostly been a fun game for him to watch. Bringing this side out of Innocentia, and taking the kits away from Misty. And as much as a part of him was ready to be done with this, he couldn't let Misty Rose die. They'd have hell on their paws over Innocentia's tantrum, and it'd be up to Funk to clean it up. He was finally getting sick of it.
"There won't be an execution." As soon as Funk seemed to lose his composure, he got it right back. Wedging himself between Sen and Misty, his acid-like gaze poured onto Innocentia. A part of him still wanted to take her side, 'cause he knew where she was coming from. But really, it just didn't line up with what he wanted. "And I won't hear anything otherwise. I'll be moving Misty and Sparrow to the prison under my guard. You are forbidden from entering it. You may not be satisfied with the damage done, but I am." Funk turned away, ending his turn in the game before she could disagree with him.
Then he looked up at Sen, the muscle of the two. Who was ready to robotically take orders from her mate. It wasn't very freeing, a sort of thinking he couldn't adhere to. Or even understand. "You as well, Sen." Funk whispered, voice still strong as he walked towards the entrance, waving his tail for Misty to follow him. "I won't hear otherwise." The Nemesis' word is law.
Innocentia was quiet, her face turned down to the ground, not looking Funk E'tan in the eyes. Her ears twitched twice before finally lowering flat against her head as he lectured her. Tears building up as she rubbed her eyes roughly, trying to look like she didn't care. She was completely silent, not back talking once or even sticking her tongue out at him like she normally would for anyone else.
Misty almost looked like she was wondering who actually called the shots, but decided that the guy that wasn't going to let her die was the person she'd rather be in charge. With that she left Senescence's side and walked over to Funk E'tan.
"Wait!" Innocentia was already running up to him, her yellow tear gaze making her eyes look even wider, "I'm sorry, Funk E'tan, I didn't know this was getting on your nerves, I'm sorry... I might not like her much, but you're my friend, you took care of me when I was hurt and I'll never forget that. I care about our friendship way more than I hate Misty. So it's okay, I'll stop, I pwomise."
One step. Two steps. Senescence was half a step from being within reach of Funk, and he had only a heartbeat to realize she was probably about to try and kill him, or something else equally as horrible, when the Proxy simply froze. Then she sucked in a sharp breath and spun around, hearing Innocentia cry. She was torn between shredding the Nemesis and comforting her mate, and then Innocentia ran past her... to apologize?
Senescence generally respected Funk, not that she'd ever admit it, but she'd never have considered him a friend, and she most certainly never treated him like he had authority over her, except when it was convenient. Her tail brushed down Innocentia's spine after she turned back to face Funk, rolling her neck slightly, like she had just stepped into this body and needed to loosen it, her posture returning to it's loose, bored normal. "I'm not your dog, Funk. Don't treat me like one."
She wouldn't push it if Innocentia didn't want to. But when she spoke to Funk, there seemed to be a touch of seriousness to her tone that wasn't usually there, the large feline unconsciously trailing her paw down the long scar through her left eye, as if remembering something. Like there was more to her words than just not wanting to listen to his order about Misty. But she didn't offer anything else, nor try to stop the Nemesis, simply staying by Innocentia's side.

It was less of a lecture and more of getting a point across. But even Funk was a little surprised when Innocentia ran up to him and apologized. He was mentally preparing himself for a fight, especially as Sen approached him. They both knew he didn't stand much of a chance, but he still stood there, determination in his eyes. For them to listen to him, to be heard. And then, like a shooting star across the sky, Innocentia appeared between them. Bewilderment crossed his face as he listened. Whether she would really keep to her word, he wasn't sure. But for now, he decided to keep some faith. "You're forgiven." His voice was still stiff, but he leaned down and touched his nose to the top of Inno's head. A quick motion to not let doubt settle. Friendship, is that what they had? Was it even that much stronger than hate? "Still swing by the shaman's den so someone can bandage you up, kay?" His voice a bit looser this time.
Then there was Sen, who seemed to snap out of whatever possessed her. He was closer to Innocentia after healing her, but he had come to respect Sen as well. For as much as Funk wanted to say then don't act like one, he didn't. Even he had some tact."Okay." Funk said simply, watching her for a moment before deciding to keep everything else to himself. "I'll let you two take care of the kits. We'll be over in the shaman's den for a bit." Funk wasn't gonna get in the way of what they wanted to do with the kits, he already stuck his neck out enough.
"What about you, Tempest? Will you be coming with us?" But then he turned to the other staff here, with a grin that said he knew more than he let on.
Viatrix-chan wasn't really paying attention to the adult's conversation, but she didn't really need to, she was just a baby. Seeing Innocentia limping, she put herself against her mother's weaker side and forced herself to purr. Snuggling up with someone and purring always made her feel better, "You can lean on me, Mama."
Despite the bloodshed and frayed nerves, Viatrix-chan herself appeared wholly unshaken by the ordeal. Her morals were skewed. She'd lived her whole life thinking herself no just better than the rest but in a whole other league them, something akin to roaylty. The blue ribbon around her neck was proof, she thought, since not many other kits had it and none of the ones who did were half as loved as she was. Look at Misty Rose! She didn't care about them, so something must be wrong with them. They weren't like princess Viatrix-chan.

He had expected a response, but the silence proved otherwise as Funk gave up with a shrug. "Either way, times a ticking. Let's get moving then, Mistyrose." The Nemesis started ahead without the two. Misty was at least fine to make it a little further before collapsing. And Funk figured she didn't wanna be seen leaning against the Nemesis for support.
Innocentia's eyes glowed with warmth before hugging Viatrix-chan in close. "You're my sweetest daughter in the whole world."
Misty's paws trembled for a moment as she moved after Funk before regaining full balance. Once they walked a bit she looked at Funk E'tan with a curiosity, "Thanks for protecting me."

They were walking faster than Misty bled, Funk stopping to grab a few things that were just growing out of cracks in the concrete streets in PI. Little pockets of nature that twolegs had a hard time getting rid of. Even if he was only to fashion a makeshift bandage from leaves, vines, the single cobweb he could find that hadn't been blown away, and a white fuzzy ball that had fallen out of a trashcan, it was better than nothing. Tapping her on the shoulder to pause, and began tying the whole thing together.
"Oh." Funk looked up from the bandage, jaw dropped just a bit for longer than he wanted to admit. Was he really just that not used to being thanked? He should have enforced it more. But then he grabbed the bandage and walked over to Misty, pressing the bulk of it into the wound as he tied the ends around her neck to hold it snug. "You're welcome. Though maybe I should be thanking you. You were the one that led to Innocentia trusting me so."
