"You're own children," Burningsummer whispered. Then she curled her lip. "You are an absolute coward. You saw those innocent little babes and learned they could do things you couldn't and it frightened you. So rather than teach them, rather than be their mother, you threw them away. You don't deserve them! You don't deserve any of them!" She roared.
She charged forward once more, feinting at Flamingstar's head, before dropping low and going for her fore legs hooking her paw under both to force her front to the ground. Twisting and sinking her teeth into Flamingstar's shoulder.
Flamingstar felt her legs sweep out from under her and her chin hit the ground. It was a split second later that she felt Burningsummer's jaws clamp down on her shoulder. She yowled in pain and rage and twisted onto her back and bit down on Burningsummer's paw which was the first thing closest to her. Using that moment, she got to her paws again and landed a blow to Burningsummer's head with claws outstretched. "It doesn't matter if they are my children or not! I was cursed by the Sun God while pregnant with them! I'm just destroying the last curse the Sun God put on the clans! You should be thanking me!" Jetclaw
Angelicpaw lied on the dirt cover floor, half of her body burned, but her face and back leg were the worse of it. "I can't," She whispered, the pain becoming too much.
Fear for Angelicpaw clung to her eyes. She was too big for her to drag through the flames to guard with her wings like she could do for herself. Using her massive wings she picked up the dirt from the ground. With a massive push she flung the dirt onto the flames as many times as she could in an attempt to put out the wall of fire. Every time a flame went out the fire just as quickly devoured the area. Timing it correctly she kicked the dirt up burning the flames and threw Angelicpaw forward past the wall of flames, the heat closing in on her fast. Her tail unfortunately did not make a clean exit, the bottom end catching fire. Autumngossamer burst through the flames a moment later using her wings to guard her body once more. Grabbing Angelicpaw by the scruff she hauled her away from the fire before shoveling dirt over Angelicpaw's tail to put out the flames, there was hardly any reaction from her, likely swallowing up too much smoke.
Autumngossamer panted heavily, every part of her wanting to collapse. "We need a medicine cat," She said looking between the two, but realized they may have no clue what that is. Anyone who grew up in SunClan from a young age never really adapted any knowledge of the outside world until they were warriors. She nosed herself underneath Angelicpaw before lifting her up onto her back, "We'll head to DayClan, they'll be able to heal both of you." There wasn't anyone left here to heal them anyways...

Alabastor Alabastor growled, watching the exchange between Flamingstar and Burningstar "but they are YOUR children, this isn't about what the SUn God did or didn't do. Even if the Sun God, StarClan, the Moon Goddess, Blind Protector all got together and cursed them. You are their mother, and you should have fought for them" he wasn't much of a fighter, but he joined in swiping at the leader trying to push her back towards the flames with Burningsummer "Curses can be undone, but what what just did can not be erased" the more she spoke, the more frustrated he was getting "It YOUR fault they are elementals. It was YOU that the Sun God cursed, and yet you want your children to bear the punishment for your crimes. To kill them because of what YOU did"
Bloodystar scrambled to his paws and first surveyed the destruction. The fire had spread all throughout camp, latching on to whatever could burn, mostly shrubs, nesting material… and the pelts of unlucky cats. There was no mistaking the acrid scent of burning flesh, it hung heavier in the air than even the smoke, which was overwhelming enough on its own. The worst part of it all, however, were the screams. There was nothing quite like the caterwauls of a cat ablaze, piercing, primal…
He was so caught up in the pandemonium that he lost track of time. In reality it had only been about fifteen seconds since Windchaser had released him, but it may as well have been three hours when on the battleground. Bloodystar whipped his head toward the High Priest’s den. His frown deepened and he then surveyed the whole perimeter, tail-tip twitching then gradually lashing from side to side.
He did not see Jetfire or Autumngossamer anywhere.
But he did make out Windchaser navigating away from him through the smoke and the flames. This was all her fault. He would have won this fight if she hadn’t gotten in his way! With a yowl he belted after her and leapt mid air, aiming to gouge whatever bit of her he could touch, blinded by rage and disappointment in himself for letting things get so out of control.
Burningsummer Burningsummer yowled when Flamingstar bit on one of her paws, drawing back. Hissing furiously as Flamingstar's claw sliced into her cheek causing blood to well up.
But Alabastor moving in to help made Burningsummer rally once more. The ginger she cat shook her head scattering scarlet drops from the new cut on her cheek.
"It's only fitting you suffer the fate you wanted for your kits." Burningsummer surged forward throwing all her weight into tackling Flamingstar. The leader already very closer to the edge now. And Burningsummer put everything she had in a mighty shove to throw her over. Spotracer
Windchaser turned just to see Bloodystar in midair, heading toward her with outstretched claws. Instinctively, she let his weight barrel into her and using his momentum, she rolled, kicking up with her back legs and sending him flying over her head and into the flames. The ginger and white warrior shot to her paws, realizing what she had done. She stood there panting, her green eyes widened in horror. She just threw a leader into the flames! She couldn't make out where Bloodystar's body went but she assumed he had gone up in flames. Snapping herself out of it, she continued to make her way out of the fire, burning her paw on a hot piece of ash in the process. @jadie
Nightclan Flamingstar growled, arching her back and bristling her fur as the two cats backed her up against the flames. "I didn't do anything! The Sun God chose to dislike me and he cursed me! I did nothing! I won't let my kits suffer the life of an elemental." She growled just before Burningsummer spoke and shoved her backwards. Not having anymore room to save herself, Flamingstar was engulfed in fire and disappeared from sight. Only her screams could be heard before they were silenced. Jetclaw
Sunclan Nightmarepaw, too exhausted to even ask if her sister was okay, followed Autumn out of the fire without hesitation. Her throat and eyes burned, her lungs hurt, and the burn on her shoulder felt like it was still on fire. Nightmarepaw coughed all the way to safety, her legs shaking with exhaustion as she pushed herself to keep going. Faith

Alabastor For a moment time seemed to slow, as he watched Flamingstar fall into the flames. Part of him cheering for her death, while the the other part cringed at the way it happened. He hadn't intended to actually throw her into the fire, he had just wanted to corner her into listening. But she showed no remorse for what she had done to her kits, He swallowed hard, listening as she screamed, even knowing everything she had done his instincts were to go after her. SpotJetclaw
Dear Starclan, there was never a dull moment in Sunclan, was there? The Swiftclan Medicine Cat was well-aware that Bloodystar was...unpopular, if he was putting it nicely. But to have the claws of what, three, maybe four clans attacking to overthrow him? If Autumngossamer hadn't already beaten him to it, Firetooth would've jumped at the chance of tossing the prissy tyrant into the flames himself. He couldn't really see much of the action because of the smoke and flames, but he definitely saw his best friend in the midst of the fight and frankly, he was seriously going to have a talk with her after this about stealing his fun. He had a dead squirrel draped over his shoulders and everything.
Oh right, the fire. That was happening apparently. The Medicine Cat let out a hiss and took a cautious step back when some embers flew too close to the herbs he was carrying, wrapped up in a tight bundle within a fern leaf. The original plan had been for both him and Ghostcrown to sneak in together and extract Jetfire, her kits, and hopefully Ghostcrown's kits, but within a second of seeing the fire and the fighting, his older brother had insisted he stay behind and ready for when he brought Jetfire. He winced a he heard yowls of anguish in the distance. Yeahhhh, good plan.
Firetooth shifted anxiously on his paws, growing nervous as the minutes passed by without seeing his brother. Couldn't he hurry it up with the family reunion?
A stifled cry barely above a whisper echoed through Creampuff's mouth. Her whimpered sob held back by her golden paw wrapped tightly over her muzzle, as she watched her aunt shove her step mother into the flames. Her entire body fell to the ground, but to her the world was just falling with her. She stared down from a ledge in SunClan's camp. Burningsummer and Alabastor were people she used to walk by everyday, now Burningsummer was her mothers killer. She breathed deeply, trying to calm herself away from a state that otherwise wanted to do nothing, but cry and hyperventilate. Creampuff's doe amber eyes glistened with tears as she pressed her head hard against the ledges surface as though she could push herself through the walls, away from this horrible, awful moment.
Her happy world glitched in and out of her vision. Rainbows and butterflies corrupting into flames and smoke. She just killed her... Her eyes rounded, she had to tell her sister Tigerlily that Flamingstar was right to watch out for Burningsummer. Staring down over the flames made her heart ache, but she couldn't stay any longer and quickly hopped up the canyon side to warn her.
Burningsummer scrambled back from the edge, panting a little from the full force of her charge. She breathed in then slowly out coughing a little from the smoke stinging her throat.
Her ears twitched as she heard something, head lifting towards where Creampuff had been, but she just missed seeing her.
She let out a sigh. “I wonder if the true curse was that paranoia.” She murmured softly taking a step back shaking her head.
Bleakwind
“How could you!” An angry yowl made Burningsummer stiffen and whip around as a Bleakwind rushed towards them. Eyes flashing with fury.
“We’re on the same side!” He shouted. “You-you’d really sink so low to use now as a time for vengeance?!” Bleakwind wanted nothing more to claw his former leader but Flamingstar was more important. He shoved past Burningsummer and forced himself to look down. Blinking back tears from the smoke stinging his eyes.
“Flamingstar?! Flamingstar!” He cried searching for any sign of her.
“No! You jump in after her you’ll share her fate!” Burningsummer cried but drew back to stand near Alabastor. In case Bleakwind lashed out. “Bleakwind she tried to kill her kits!”
Bleakwind curled his lip. “Lies! Flamingstar would NEVER kill her kits. She’s not heartless like the kits father!” He spat before returning to looking desperately for any flicker of Flamingstar he could see. But the flames and smoke made it hard.
He started kicking dirt down from the top to weaken the fires closest to the edge. Trying to see if Flamingstar had landed near there.
Ghostcrown pressed his muzzle to his son's head in a silent goodbye, wondering when he would see Crowpaw again. Then he backed away, nodded one at Spiritpaw and Desertpaw to follow him, and headed for the secret entrance once more.
As he raced back toward the tunnel he was relieved to find Firetooth was still unharmed. "Here she is," he puffed to the medicine cat. He was exhausted from carrying her, though the queen was barely more than skin and bones. "Scarletblush and Discordantmelody are behind me with the kits, they're coming with us. Spiritpaw and Desertpaw are too," he added, and he grinned a little despite himself.
Bloodystar felt searing heat all around him as he was thrust through the flames. However, by what could only be described as luck, the High Priest avoided the worst of the inferno, having coincidentally been thrown toward one of the weaker sides of it. Of course, by the time he had scrambled back to his feet to try again, the wall had spread and risen higher yet. He wouldn't be able to go back through the same opening he had used before.
Bloodystar glared at the flames, so often his ally but today his enemy. Looking back he would say that the way they had so swiftly blocked his path must be divine intervention, but at the present he was not thinking straight at all. He only had one thought on the mind, revenge, as he searched for a cat through the inferno to focus his rage upon. He could barely make out forms much less faces, though, and even yowls were drowned out by the roar of the fire.
Across the fames. He had to get back to the other side, he could still win this battle, he just had to beat Autumngossamer! He didn’t see her or hear her but she was over there, he just had to get back. Removing his own sense of pain, Bloodystar took a few steps toward the wall of fire, a wicked smile on his face, he had totally lost it. His whiskers were the first to singe off but he didn't feel anything at all and it certainly didn't stop him from putting his first paw forward. All he felt was the consuming pressure of being devoured, but he didn't see this as a bad thing, in fact he burst out laughing.
This! This was what it felt like to be a God! Not even the most pure form of destruction, fire, could hold him, the Sun God's most loyal and devout follower, back!
For days Glowstar had been trapped in SunClan, not held by against her will by any cat, but rather the amulet had created a force field that prevented her from leaving. Even in the heat of danger there was no possible escape. Her bubble she was trapped in required the amulet to be moved for her to leave camp, which meant that Bloodystar had to leave or she would be just as doomed as he was.
Her legs still asleep from being tied for days stumbled over towards Bloodystar. His chaotic waves of laughter bubbling past his throat and echoing into the suffocating smokey air. Oh StarClan, he's lost his mind...
"Bloodystar," Glowstar said placing a paw over his back, "There's nothing left to stay here for."
As the flames withdrew from the dirt Bleakwind kicked in, Flamingstar could be seen laying motionless on the ground, badly burned but alive. While the flames had engulfed her, she had managed to climb out of it but the burns were nasty and brutal. Steam rose from her fiery red fur, dying embers clung to the tips of her whiskers, and ash covered her body like snow. Jetclaw

Alabastor Alabastor stared horrified into the fire, almost frozen. This wasn't what was supposed to happen. As bleakwind rushed towards the fire he turned away from the scene before him "What's done is done, Burningsummer... You can't save someone that doesn't want to be saved " he gazed sorrowfully at Bleakwind, a cat he had once thought so highly of, now to blind to see the truth before him "Bleakwnd... I watched her with my own eyes. She is just as blinded by her hatred of elementals as you are by your love for Flamingstar" His fur would have been bristling, but because it was so short you could instead see his skin ripple. This was all to much, his emotions already off kilter from his run in from Creampuff "I am leaving now that the apprentices are out of the fire... Do what ever you have to do" and with that he began heading for the exit JetclawSpot
Glowstar's voice cut through the roars of the flames as well as some of the turmoil in Bloodystar's own mind. For a moment his concentration faltered and he hurriedly pulled his paw out of the fire, letting out a startled yelp. What in the world was he doing, sticking his paw into real flames? Eyes wide, he surveyed the camp and his heart sunk. This... this wasn't right... However, the moment of clarity was short lived. His scowl returned, his eyes met Glowstar's and a growl rose in the back of his throat, "There's nothing left? We haven't lost this, I can still..."
But could he really? The camp was basically destroyed, no nests, no herbs. Most cats, invaders and SunClan alike, had escaped by now. Many of the Fire Nation elites were still present, finishing up their battles or helping others escape he didn't know, but he could hear them and it gave him an idea. He knew now that he wouldn't be able to re-capture Jetfire or kill Autumngossamer. Too much time had passed and the flames were too high. However, he did have one final card up his sleeve, "No, no, you are right, but... but we can still send a message. If SunClan can't win this fight, then at least I will make it so no one can..." He took a step back, away from the wall of flames, as to give clearest view of what he was about to do.
"Cats of SunClan and the Fire Nation!" His voice was amplified by the amulet, still muffled to some cats but certainly loud enough for the cats he wanted to hear it, "For her crimes against the Sun God and SunClan in general, it is now time to publicly execute Strikhedoniadalisay, former leader of DayClan and senator of SunClan! Learn from her misdeeds against our almighty deity! We will not tolerate it!"
He wink at her then blasted her with a wall of false flames that rose just as high as the wall he'd use to imprison Autumngossamer just moments before. These flames, however, were an icy blue, a bright contrast to the natural golden-red flames that surrounded them. They totally engulfed Glowstar's form.
Bleakwind Bleakwind paid no mind to the cat he'd once trained in the ways of medicine. His focus solely on Flamingstar as he could see her lying near the flames. She wasn't moving. He needed to get down there and get to her.
He considered the ledge and noted a few outcroppings he could slide down to. It would be precarious, but he didn't hesitate. He moved forward fore paws first and skittered down the ledge to the first outcropping. Rocks falling in and his claws digging into any little crevice and gap they could find.
He could feel his claw getting worn and torn from the effort, but he paid it no mind as he made his way down to Flamingstar. Tail whipping up more dirt to keep the flames back and off of her as best he could.
He paid no mind as Bloodystar spoke and attacked Glowstar, his world narrowing to just Flamingstar and getting to her.
He grunted as he hit the ground before hurrying over to Flamingstar, patting out any part of her that was still smoldering. "All right, come on, come on Flamingstar you can't stay here." He said mostly to himself as he patted her down coughing as the smoke stung his throat. He pawed her desperately. "I don't know if I can carry us both up, if you've still got some fight in you, you need to get up." He urged her. Spot
Burningsummer Burningsummer winced at Alabastor's words. She knew he was right. That didn't make it any easier. She spared one more look to the fire, about to follow after him when she spotted Glowstar.
She was about to call out to her friend. When Bloodystar spoke up,
'It is now time to publicly execute Strikhedoniadalisay'
No. Nonono. They didn't come this far. Fight in the flames. Have to watch as SunClan starved themselves out. All these cats suffering and dying only for Bloodystar to get his way.
Anger bubbled up in the ginger she cat, but any thoughts of potentially attacking Bloodystar were put out when a wall of flames rose up, cresting like a wave and rushing to engulf Glowstar.
Immediately her anger was doused as agonizing horror took it's place.
"Glowstar!" Burningsummer yowled rushing to the edge, staring trying to see her friend at all in the flames. Some sign that the flames somehow hadn't gotten to her. That somehow her friend would pull yet another trick to escape looming death.
Suddenly, Flamingstar coughed, sending dust flying up in a small cloud by her muzzle. She turned a side eye to look at Bleakwind, the only part of her body moving besides the ragged and raspy rising and falling of her flank, indicating life. "Bleakwind?" She rasped before breaking out into another cough, her throat burning. She winced in pain as all of her pain sensors suddenly activated after being unconscious. "I guess not all cats land on their feet." She joked in her raspy tone, amusement gleaming in her eyes despite what had just happened and the excruciating pain. She attempted to climb to her paws but on a mixture of pain and exhaustion, her knees buckled and she landed back where she had been laying. "I can't..." She breathed, wincing once more in pain. "Just go, Bleakwind. I don't think I'm going to make it out of here and there is no point in risking your life as well..." She rested her paw on his which was blistering from the burns. "I've made my mistakes and I'm paying for my sins. Don't let me bring you down with me...Go, and help the others...I'll see you on the other side, my friend." She gave him a weak smile. Jetclaw
Dayclan
Windchaser turned to see the two leaders standing face to face when heard Bloodystar's announcement just moments before the flames engulfed Glowstar. "Glowstar! No!" Windchaser wailed, tears forming immediately as she rushed to Glowstar's location as fast as her legs could carry her. She skidded to a halted, nearly knocking Burningsummer out of the way. She desperately searched for her beloved leader through the flames, her heart aching. She had to survive. She had to pull through this. Dayclan needed her. Faith @jadie Jetclaw
Bleakwind "You won't be going to the other side, not yet." Bleakwind said stubbornly, he crouched down next to her. "I... I love you too much to let you go out here. If you're destined to die here, you won't die alone." He grasped her scruff and began to pull her away from the fire. Watering eyes from the smoke caused tears to stream from them. "But in the name of all that is holy, as long as there is breath in my body, I will do everything my power so you will not join the stars tonight." He said firmly pulling her to the side, straining to try and lift her up. "Come on, up you get. Get on my back and I'll carry you out." Spot
Burningsummer Burningsummer stumbled nearly losing her balance and falling. Like Windchaser she watched the flames, desperate for any signs of Glowstar emerging.
"Windchaser do you see her? Turbulentsea! Come back! Once we find Glowstar she'll need your help!" She told him.
But her words felt weak, the certainty wavering in them. There was no clear path to Glowstar that wasn't through fire, and Burningsummer would still have to manage the drop safely. And quickly the path down was becoming more and more dangerous.
But that didn't stop Burningsummer. "Windchaser, tell me when you see even the slightest bit of her, I'll jump down there and-and fight off Bloody to get to her if I have to! But I won't be able to see much once I'm in there!" She tensed up preparing to leap down into the mess herself. Glowstar couldn't be dead. Bloodystar could not have such power. Not even Foxstar-
But that wasn't true, Foxstar had been capable of impossible things as the high priestess. Commanding flames to destroy an enemy... didn't seem quite that far off when Burningsummer had watched Foxstar curse and kill Deal.
Burningsummer grit her teeth squinting against the tears in her eyes. From the stinging smoke and from the emotions rising up in her. "Please Windchaser, tell me where to jump." She said desperately.
