The sun was hot on her chocolate brown fur as Fernskip wove her way between blunders and brush. She had done all she could to avoid the camp and her betrothed today. But as the sun moved from high to set she knew she couldn’t hide much longer. All day she had seen cats wondering the territory gathering flowers, leaves, and herb bundles. She tried to not make eye contact with any of them as she knew it would undoubtedly lead to a aren’t-you-just-going-to-be-a-beautiful-bride soppy conversation she wasn’t willing to sit through.
She had just crossed over a small creek her paws coming up caked in sticky mud. When she heard pawsteps headed her way from upstream. There was no escaping this. She could have run when she had the chance. But she stayed for family. For Littlestar, for Lionpride, for Earthpaw and Mousepaw.
There was no escaping this ceremony. There was no escaping this marriage.

This is the marriage/wedding thread for the arranged marriage of Fernskip and Mythosseraphim anyone is welcome to join in and comment with characters opinions and abuse disruptions if they wish however do not completely ruin the wedding as it still has to happen for plot reasons. (:

"LOOK AT YOUR FUR!!!!!!!!" gasped Silverfringe staring at Fernskip with utter terror on her face "Your ceremony is almost here, why do you look like that?!?!" she rushed over to Fernskip's side wanting to clean off the she-cat but not get dirty herself "Your gonna have to take a dip in the ceremony springs to get this off, come one. We don't have any time to waste!!!" she went behidnd the she-cat shoving her with both paws towards the water. She herself was done up elaboratly, not looking bad for a she-cat who had given birth not very long ago herself. Her were tucked away sleeping in the nursery, but there was no way she was going to miss one of her sister's weddings. The would be ok for a short while until she returned

Mythosseraphim, for his part, has ensured everything was perfect. There was even a fern sculpture of Fernskip, claws out and looking beautifully dangerous, with a little princess crown made of sunflowers he'd made himself. His fur was beautifully decorated, and he wore a goofy, serene sort of smile that was just a little eerie, as though his mind were in an entirely different place altogether.
"Soon, my princess will be here, and then she'll be my queen." He mused to himself, skipping around in the moment just before it was time to get into position. Mythosseraphim didn't even seem to notice the cats trying to figure out where his betrothed even was...
Bloodystar and Duskslayer Faith were atop the hillside at the Ceremony Springs, watching their clanmates gather in the clearing below as the wedding ceremony was to start within the next fifteen or so minutes. He didn't really know what to talk about, though, as things between him and his best friend had been, well, awkward lately. So, he went the standard route, "We couldn't have asked for more beautiful weather."
Planepaw had been raised in SwiftClan and they never had any elaborate ceremonies like this. Part of it was because they were always on the move but he was pretty sure the main reason was because Chimerastar and Firetooth didn't want to bother with it. Those two liked to keep things simple as did the rest of the Clan, so he couldn't blame them. But... looking up at the floral arrangements, all the fancily painted cats and feeling the general vibe of the whole thing, it made him feel happy to be here. he sat down near the front so he'd have a good view, brushing shoulders with another cat but not thinking anything of it as he took his seat.
Duskslayer looked at Bloodystar sheepishly, it's always hot out? "Yeah. So do you know the people getting married well? I don't know either of them."
He looked down below at Mythosseraphim, most would call him dedicated, but Dusky's cynical mind saw it as obsessive. That's how most SunClan toms were, they never learned how to treat she-cats as anything, but obtaining power and status. Often times he found SunClan toms to confuse obsession for love, like it was just a thing for them to be permanently stuck in a teenage phase. But it was a wedding, of course the guy was just being more dedicated than usual, he should give him more slack especially when he didn't know him.

Annoyed Fernskip have a little hiss as Silverfringe shoved her into the water from behind. The long furred brown she-cat thrashing momentarily as she landed in the cool water. Her skin tingling from the sensation. “Is it too late to run?” She meowed loud enough to be heard but her emerald gaze rolling like a quickly rising and setting sun giving away her less than seriousness. “I’m the bride aren’t I? They can wait till I’m good and ready.” She pouted as she tinker her paws up and down in the water, watching the grime get swept away.
"Fernskip is one of Littlecrow's daughters, although not with Skipstep. She hasn't been in SunClan for very long. I'm surprised you don't know Mythosseraphim, though, he's been around longer than I have," Bloodystar said, skirting the topic at least in regards to Mythos, he didn't know the tom very well either but had selected him based on recommendation. He knew Fernskip had a fiery personality and so he'd had to find a very particular tom to counter it, "I see Mythos is in position... but where in the world is Fernskip? She's running late."
"There's like one hundred people in this clan, that would be insane if I knew everyone," Duskslayer laughed. He didn't look concerned though that Fernskip was still absent, "Weddings are almost never on time. If they're using the good paint, which they should and the designer messed up, they have to remove everything and start from scratch." He wasn't sure if that was concern in his friends eye so he continued, "If things really fall behind though I can help out in a pinch."

Silverfringe joined her sister in the water, gently washing away the grime until it had been washed away downstream "You could try..." she looked towards the ceremony springs where she knew the others were waiting "But there would be consequences for those that you leave behind..." she lead her from the water, licking her fur backwards to aide in the drying process "besides you would be giving Bloodystar the satisfaction of knowing that he has defeated you" a little fire glimmering in her own gaze as she worked on her sister's coat. Summerthyme
Goldengrace darted over to where Silverfringe was helping Fernskip get ready, the she cat setting down some of the items she'd gathered to help with fluffing up her half sister's pelt. "I-I hope I'm not too late to offer some help," She meowed uncertainly.
Goldengrace had become quite a bit more of a wallflower following the events that had forced her and her siblings into relations with Bloodystar's mooks. She'd returned from a brief hunt to try and gather some courage before quickly making her way to join her sisters all under the guise of 'I'm going to assist them, clearly they could use an extra pair of paws'
Anything to keep away from her clanmates... or worse Festeringfruit. A shudder went down her back at the thought of her assigned mate.
She knew very little about him really, and had done her best to try and keep him a tail length away but it was only a matter of time before she ran out of useful quick excuses.
Her heart ached for Shadeflower-now Weed, her friend had been such a source of support when things had been tough and her absence was felt horribly.

The little gleam of fire in her sisters eyes did not go unnoticed by Fernskip. She nodded. “You are right. I have to follow through.”
Upon Goldengrace’ approach Fernskip purred. How different she was from her softer spoken sister. Her own wild fire personality bold in comparison. But Goldengrace has a softening effect on her. “I could always use your help Goldengrace.”
She shot a look at Silverfringe “but let’s go light on the pain. I’d like to not take another bath if I can avoid it.” She shivered against the rough strokes of her fur being brushed backwards.
Goldengrace couldn't help a purr. "Of course," She said. "I'll get the paints set up, any design in particular you'd like sister? We'll have to go mostly traditional but I've gotten pretty good with painting others so if there's something in particular you want I can do it."
The she cat began to arrange the paints off to the side ready to apply them after Fernskip was ready.

Silverfringe nodded running her paws over her sister's pelt now that it was starting to dry "I'm thinking simple, but elegant. Some lines to bring out your best features" she smiled and nudged Fernskip's shoulder playfully "If you gotta get married, at least show all those bachelors what they are missing out on"
"Agreed, you go in there looking like the sun's shining down on you and you alone today, and Bloody won't know what to think." Goldengrace purred. "It's like and extra layer of armor in a way! You're angry, proud and looking gorgeous and no one not even he can bring you down."
'Unlike everyone else.' Goldengrace added silently before shaking herself. She had to stop being such a downer. Arranged marriage or not this was Fernskip's wedding and she would not be the one to bring down the mood.

As Silverfringe and Goldengrace finished their sister's pelt they could hear the murmer of restless cats at the ceremony springs " It's time, they are all waiting on you Fernskip" she smiled gently placing her paw onto her sister's "Be brave"

Fernskip sighed. She looked across her pelt. The lines of bright paint were brushed lightly through her brown pelt giving its darkness an extra air of light. The tips of her fur yellow as they draped off her muscles form. She had traveled with her father, Leatherstar, across so many territories and claimed man mountains. She had fought in two battles and now she fought a silent one alone. Her ears a d whiskers were tipped with red her slender chest painted like a small flame reaching to her muzzle. There wasn’t a lot of paint but it was enough to make her softer features look sharp and her muscles form look draped in a cape of light color. She was a warrior ready for battle. She nodded to her sisters before raising her head high and marching like a cat towards her battle field. Only this time it was an alter.

Silverfringe stood proudly behind her sister as they entered into the ceremony springs, taking her place amoungst the family of the bride. HoneystormJadie
Goldengrace walked alongside Silverfringe before taking her place amongst the family of the bride. The ginger she cat's tail twitching minutely as she waited for the ceremony to begin.
It had taken longer than Bloodystar's patience could last, but finally Fernskip entered and the couple made their way down the pathway and then up the incline. The High Priest stepped back and nudged Duskslayer as he did it, giving the soon to be couple more room to exchange their vows in front of the entire Clan. Once they were in place, he began, "Today I present you SunClan Fernskip and Mythosseraphim, to be joined together as one before their Clan and the Sun God's infinite light..." his jovial tone shifted, it was slight, hard to detect, but those standing nearest him would tell. It was... a little threatening,"..is it your wish to bind your souls together for all of time?"
Mythosseraphim, for his part, couldn't look any happier. His gaze turned to Fernskip, and there was nothing in there but genuine respect and admiration. His own paint wasn't unlike hers, sharp and minimal, allowing hers to shine like a knight in service to his queen. "You look beautiful, Highness." He purred, dipping himself down into a bow before her as Bloodystar then began the proceedings. "It is."
If he noticed Bloodystar's attitude, it didn't show, as the tom couldn't seem to take his eyes off of the she-cat next to him.
