Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She looked at him with a slightly overwhelmed expression. "Wow, that's a lot of information. I'm not sure if I'd ever learn everything. Primal Instinct cats must be pretty smart! Considering your a...pathologist. Not sure what that is but it sounds smart."
He nodded slightly, it was a lot and even he was finding it a tad difficult to explain it all. "There is time enough for all of that depending on you. What was your plan once you found these civilizations you heard about, or have you gotten that far?" He questioned, his blue eyes flickering curiously.
She shrugged as she waded back out of the water. Once she was on land, she shook the water from her pelt which was now a pearly white and spiky due to it still being damp. "Well, I don't know. I didn't even know if they existed. And I definitely wasn't sure I was going to make it out of that forest." She purred, twitching her whiskers in amusement. "Thanks to you, though, I'm alive and out of that trap. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to find a place to stay for the night. Perhaps I can find an old twoleg box or a cozy hole in a wall."
"A box or a hole, those dont sound to appealing..." he extended a claw and with it began to scetch a line in the dirt. "It isnt safe for a stranger such as yourself to sleep out here, even I wouldnt be able to help if one of them found you." He didn't go into detail of who 'they' were, but the grim look that flashed across his face was enough to know it wouldnt be a pretty encounter. "No, I cant let you do that, I'd feel resposible if I left you and you died." He glanced at her, almost conflicted as he spoke again. "I have a place you can stay tonight, but you must do as I say and stay out of sight." He wasnt sure he should be doing this, but it seemed to be the only way, he would deal with any backlash or consequenses later, for now he would get Opal to the abandoned zoo where he spent most of his time.
"I think you will like it much more than a moldy box." He chuckled, the zoo was old and part of it were no longer in tact but it was his favorite place and he could keep watch with her there, without anyone questioning him.
Her eyes lit up and a smile spread across her elegant face. "A zoo!? You have a zoo here?" She had forgotten all about the strangers Dr. Pickles was warning her about. Once he had said that there was a zoo, all else was forgotten.
He let a wide grin spread across his face at the sight of her excitement, if she was this happy just hearing about it then he could only imagine how she would be seeing it in person. "Yep, it is run down, but there are still some animals there that I take care of." He got to his paws as he spoke and flicked his tail across her shoulder. "Does that mean you are coming with me then?" He was polite in asking, but was very much prepared to drag her there if she decided to try and find a box instead.
She warmed under her fur when he placed his tail over her shoulder. "Of course!" She purred. "I can't wait to see the animals! That is so cool that you take care of them! Do you live there, as well?"
