Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"What?" Bloodyrondo said to no cat in particular. He looked like a deer in headlights as he listened to Autumngossamer's accusation, Littlestar's rebuttal and Foxbane's outright denouncement of the Sun God. All other cats who spoke were nothing but flies to him but all three of those she-cats held a special place in his heart, yes, even Foxbane. He'd known of Autumngossamer's curse for a lot time but he did not fully believe her until Selene appeared and compelled his God to tell the ugly truth. Bile rose in the back of the Priest Promised's throat as the one and only cat that he truly believed in with all his heart confessed to unthinkable atrocities. Having just lost his own mate and unborn kits, he was familiar with that sort of pain. What am I thinking?
He lowered his head and felt the earring Sen had given him swing from the motion. He wondered if the Sun God watched as Satinlights was washed away but did nothing, just as he allowed Autumngossamer's kits to die. He could always deny rumors but have never doubted anything the Sun God had ever said, yet here tonight he proved himself an outright liar, and how was he supposed to trust him again after that?
But he trusted you.
Surely it was the Sun God that lead Bloodyrondo to find the power-stealing amulet. With it he had acquired the power of the Gods and very nearly conquered an entire Clan. If he had wanted to, maybe he could have even stolen the Sun God's power itself, but he never tried, the thought had never crossed his mind. Even then the Sun God let him keep it. And when he lost it, the Sun God did not punish him, even though it was deserved. Bloodyrondo felt a fire burning in his chest. The Sun God was a God. Gods do not make mistakes.
"Enough of this!" He called out, pushing his way past Littlestar, trying to block her as he addressed all of the assembled cats. He had a dead look in his eyes, "We are in no place to try and understand why a God does something. It may seem cruel, but it is all part of a bigger plan that we can't even begin to comprehend. What the Sun God did to Autumgossamer is inexcusable but had he not allowed her to deliver the kits in DayClan then all but two of them would be dead today. Instead he graciously allowed cats who could not have kits of their own the opportunity to raise a family, SunClan-blooded at that, in our sister Clan of DayClan. It can only bring us closer. Don't you see?" He glanced at the Moon Goddess's gaze with pure disgust, "She should not even be here. She has nothing to do with this. Besides, who's to say she isn't forcing the Sun God to say these horrible things? Littlestar, I cannot believe that you are buying into this!"
The white she cat looked between her brother and his High Priestess, a glimmer of sorrow in her blue eyes. “This matter is out of my paws but, You have my blessing to do whatever it is you feel must be done for the good of your clan Littlestar.” The goddess closed her eyes in concentration, and slowly, her celestial glow would begin to fade, as Littlestar began to glow with the pale luminescence of the moon. Selene opened her eyes, and crouched to the ground, looking exhausted. The cats gathered around would be able to see the ground and the trees through the now transparent she-cat.
Autumngossamer nudged Firetooth playfully at his comment to Skipstep in a knock it off, but please keep going kind of gesture. Her eyes locked onto Lovesmitten before waving him over, things were getting more and more unstable. She didn't want her mate on one end and her best friend on the other if they had to run, but that worry soon melted away as Foxbane began to speak. In fact, soon enough everyone was speaking out. All around Firetooth and her glaring eyes surrounded the Sun God. The same way she felt when she was cursed and pregnant, stared at, judged, deserving of it all. Her voice hadn't shaken once when she spoke, she didn't blink at Littlestar's confrontation, she didn't stutter when all attention and questions turned to her. But hearing Foxbane, the cat that destined her to join SunClan apologize meant everything. Hearing the Sun God repeat everything she knew somehow felt different in this moment. Maybe because she had time to actually register the emotions, but she found herself tearing up like Goldenphantom. "Just be here with me," She said quietly to Foxbane. Foxbane gave her vindication before even Sun God could and it meant all the more to her.
Watching Littlestar become mad she found her heart twist and ache for her because she lived and felt what she was feeling now. Realizing that the person you dedicated your life to was a cruel, twisted, God. Not knowing how much he used you, wondering if anything was real and if it was if you should be disgusted by it. Her head turned to Bloodyrondo, listening to him she could stand up straighter. "I just wanted to be believed in," She said to no one at first before looking at Firetooth and Lovesmitten, "But you both believed in me. What really hurt the most were the people I called friends, who I trusted who didn't take my seriously, who didn't care. I guess Bloodyrondo will always be that person." For a moment she frowned before gaze met back to them and she smiled, "Thank-you so much for being there for me," She said nuzzling them both, but giving Lovesmitten a lick across the cheek.
DAYCLAN
Honeystorm
Glowstar looked to Pandora with a proud expression, because she knew she hadn't been there to raise Pandora like she should. But she still grew up wise, powerful, and kind.
[gore warning] Pale moonlight washed over Littlestar, the paint on her body began to glow the color of the moon.It brought out the silver and white highlights of her fur, a dark storm against newly fallen snow. Her golden eyes began to change, starting from the center silver spread like liquid mercury until it reached the edges. She pranced around the Sun God, circling him leaving crystalline foot prints in her wake. When she spoke, the voice that emerged was hers no longer. It was far older, ancient "You are right, you can change" as she spoke puffs of cold air rose from her lips despite the air around her being quite warm "but as you are now, you will continue down this path of destruction until all around you has turned to ash" Her tail rubbed on his shoulder, and up under his chin until she spun to face him "In order to maintain the balance, I must end your reign of chaos and fear, in order for you to start a new" she lifted her paw, claws shimmering in the moonlight as she placed it onto the Sun God's chest claws pricking at his skin "Your time in your current form is over, I shall take this body from you so that you may be reborn and become the God you were meant to be" he paw pushed forward tearing through flesh until she could feel the beating of his heart held in her paw giving it a light squeeze "Use this second chance I am giving you to become more than you are now. Don't think of this as your death, but an opportunity to lead your followers to true enlightenment. You will be reborn far from the lands of SunClan, but when they have true need of you, you will find your way back to them" Littlestar pulled backwards ripping the heart from the sun god's chest. His body slumped to the ground, as both it and the heart slowly turned to ash.
Next Littlestar bound to the tree, leaping to the highest branch almost as if she had been flying. She turned to face the crowd "SunClan, you will face dark times ahead, but fear not. For even on the darkest of nights, hope will continue to flicker on like the eternal flame. You must find your next soothsayer to guide you through these troubling times, but it won't be easy. They have already been born, SunClan blood flowing through their veins. Find them and bring them home" The moonlight that had enveloped the High Priestess faded, as it left her it left her looking dull and sickly The last things to change was her eyes, the silver giving way to blazing gold. As the change was complete, she wobbled back and forth the branch slipping from her grip as she tumbled to the earth below... Landing with a sickening crack... then silence
Autumngossamer shuddered at the sickening thump that landed beside her off the tree before looking up at Foxbane standing not far from her. For as much betrayal as she felt from Littlestar and Foxbane, in this moment they both tried to do the right thing. That was the hope she wanted to leave SunClan with, but she didn't want to leave them with a high priestess who just did the most selfless act she could wounded and left without any spiritual guidance. "We need to get her back," Autumngossamer said, "If we get her back into SunClan and she's still not awake I know a way for you to enter her dreams."
"Littlestar!" Skipstep cried immediately rushing to his mate's side, pushing aside any cat that got between him and his mate. He skidded to a halt and immediately dropped to her side nosing her fur anxiously worriedly. "Foxbane! Mountainsound!" He cried calling for the healers as he pressed his nose into her to try and get any pulse or something.
Curses and betrayal and dying gods - none of it was his forte, even if it gave him some cruel satisfaction to see the Sun God die. He wanted nothing to do with the deity possessing his leader, and Singedwolf was at the back of the gathering on his way out when he heard the creak of the branch and he felt the sudden, final crack of a body hitting the ground. Before he was aware of his own actions he had turned around and started to shove his way back through the throng of enraptured cats, knocking back a grey-and-white queen and jumping over a ginger tom until he reached the front of the gathered cats.
He made it to Skipstep's side before he broke down. His legs collapsed from under him and he buried his burned face in Littlestar's fur, clinging to the last bit of warmth beneath her fur as he choked on the heart's ashes he found there. For several long moments, he could not bring himself to move, but finally, finally, he wrenched himself free of her coat and stumbled a few steps away to leave the healers room to maneuver. His traitorous face crumbled as tears stung his eyes but he couldn't leave her, not until he knew she wasn't gone for good.
Bloodyrondo didn't move an inch. As soon as Littlestar's eyes changed colors he had been paralyzed, unable to react as his High Priestess sauntered over to the Sun God and ripped out his still beating heart. Was this really happening? Holy blood pooled around his paws but the Moon remained unobscured. Seemed that so-called StarClan didn't mind when violence at a Gathering was against a rival God.
"Stop..." He choked out as tears ran down his face, ruining the red body paint that he had applied to the corner of his eyes, leaving bloody streaks in its wake. But if anything things sped up; the Sun God's body began to disintegrate and Littlestar walked right past him, silent as a ghost, to climb to the highest point of the tree and deliver her prophecy. When she fell, he winced but did not look at her, instead his eyes focused on the body of his God. He took a step forward and pressed his head against the glimmering corpse, tears flowing even more freely now.
"This should not have happened... I'm so sorry..."
A new Sun God, born away from SunClan? A new Soothsayer, hidden away, waiting to be found? Why did this have to happen? First Duskslayer ran away to the Rgeime, then he lost Satinlights, next Autumngossamer's friendship, the Sun God just now, even his trust in Littlestar. He had nothing left, not even his pride, as all the Forest Clans watched him break down on stage.
"Foxbane! Mountainsound!"
Had Skipstep forgotten that he was a healer, too? Or perhaps he was wise enough to know that he would not help the God-killing High Priestess. A dark part of him hoped that killing the Sun God robbed her of her nine lives so he could be leader and bring SunClan back to the way it was supposed to be. Realistically he knew he couldn't do it alone but he was in a very, very dark place right now, and, possessed or not, Littlestar sure seemed like an enemy to him.

The Sun God couldn't move. Even if he wanted to, seeing his Priestess... HIS PRIESTESS, channeling Selene's power. Both of them willing to give it up and take it, it was too much. It was a betrayal of anything and everything he stood for, and the deity couldn't just force himself to move. He stood there in silence, and for the first time, he looked utterly, truly, alone. He gasped as he felt her paw around his heart, and pain radiated through him, fires flickering in dark crimson as they spilled from his chest like blood, coating the ground between them in red light. And then his heart came out, and for a long second, the fire seemed to flare, screaming and swirling up like a whirlwind, and then his world went dark, and the flames were whisked away as though blown by a frigid gale. His body grayed on the ground and crumbled to ash in Bloodyrondo's embrace, leaving only a few fading embers to mark the fiery being's existence a moment before.
As the god died, as Littlestar returned to herself, the moon itself changed as well. It darkened like the fires of the Sun God, and soon, no silver light remained. Instead, scarlet spread across it's surface in a wave, casting the entire world in the harsh light of a red moon shining down.
SUNCLAN Foxbane raced to Littlestar's side the moment she fell, checking her, much like Skipstep for a pulse. None. The fall must have killed her. "She's losing a life." The ex-Priestess stated, her voice sounding almost foreign to herself. Rigid and cold. Foxbane never had lost someone she cared about, at least, not once she came to care for them. Her expression was almost blank, searching Littlestar for signs of life.
SunClan Skipstep's throat tightened as Foxbane confirmed what he'd suspected he looked at her, unable to voice the fear that had crept in. Would killing the Sun God nullify Littlestar's lives? Would she be unable to come back? His heart was in his throat and he looked desperately to her for answers or assurance. "What can I do?" He asked her hoarsely.

SUNCLAN
"All we can do is wait." Foxbane answered dully. "She'll come back, don't worry." The fox furred Senator's paw drifted over her own scarred throat almost unconsciously. She knew you could transfer lives. She knew she had lives left. If the worst was true, well, she was prepared, just in case. "In the meantime, make sure to be gentle, look for non-lethal injuries, broken ribs, leg, anything we'll have to mend when she wakes." As she spoke, she was checking, pressing gentle against the Priestess' body, looking for those wounds that wouldn't be mended by the life she lost.

Littlestar remand motionless, as several moments ticked by. Her body was cold to the touch, ash covering her front paw spreading up towards her shoulder. Her head was tilted at an odd angle, her eyes closed. Slowly her heart began to beat once more though it was faint and week. Her body began to tremble, trying to warm her dangerously low body temperature. She began to take shallow gasping breaths, her lungs sounded like they were filled with fluid and mucus making it difficult to breathe. Still her eyes remain closed, her symptoms resembling and illness that the cats of the mountains would have been more familiar with, hypothermia. Several of her ribs has been broken, crushed inward on the side she had landed upon. Her front leg had been snapped, and there were several large gashes from the tree branches she had obtained during her fall
Skipstep let out a breath of relief when Littlestar started breathing, though his heart jumped back to his throat as she didn't sound. Panicked by the obvious distress his mate was in he looked to Foxbane desperately. "What's wrong with her? I've never heard of losing a life going like this!" He said. Not even when Foxbane had killed Deal and cursed him had Deal reacted in such a way, and seeing Littlestar in distress brought a fresh rush of panic.
Summersolstice had been standing stockstill unsure how to react to all of this, she wrapped her tail around Vibrantpaw, Dancingpaw, Radiantpaw and even Driftingpaw who had come close to his mother and his siblings to talk briefly. She gazed upon the scene with wide eyes fearing for Littlestar's fate.
Glowstar looked down at Littlestar then to her clan intermixed with the other clan warriors. "DayClan, let's return home to give SunClan some room." She looked out to her Immortal Council members, a conflicting moment. She should be there for her clan, but Littlestar and Foxbane were going to be family soon. There was some respect lost, seeing Littlestar's flaw of being overly loyal blind her from just how cruel the Sun God truly was demonstrated that she wasn't loyal to the people that counted, her clanmates. But she made a promise that if she couldn't be there for Littlestar's mother she would be there for Littlestar.
"It's alright Autumn, Fox and I can handle this. Foxbane is right, you reacted today with grace, dignity and great strength. The way Foxbane and I never could using our claws for our words. Littlestar may have killed the Sun God, but she never would have done anything if it wasn't for you. You freed everyone so you deserve to be free yourself. Go take your family to DayClan if that's what you wish," Glowstar said touching Autumngossamer's nose.
Autumngossamer blinked after Glowstar touched her nose. Her gaze flicking to the pile of ashes. She took her first breath of freedom before looking to Lovesmitten with a long side ways smile, "You know, I want to get married right here. Dancing all night over the ashes of my enemy."

Moonclan Nereus watched the display. Mostly stunned silent as the entire scene unraveled. Selene. He had so much to say, so much to ask. But by the time he willed up the courage to do so, she had disappeared. Cats began to crowd around Littlestar, the Medium gently touched his tail to Levee's shoulder. "I'll be right back." He purred, before climbing down the tree. Sure, he was the newest healer of the bunch, but he ought to at least help. Skinny grey frame let him weave through the crowd. Though now that he was here, he lost his nerve again and slunk over to Foxbane. Opening his mouth to say something, a different sound caught his attention. Leaning down next to Littlestar's mouth, he listened to her shallow breathing for a few moments before placing a paw gently on her forehead. Sure enough, he read about this. "Hello. Sorry for the intrusion." Nereus finally spoke up as he walked over to Foxbane, the only person who looked like they had any control of the situation. "I'm Nereus, Moonclan's... Medicine Cat. It looks like she's suffering from hypothermia as well." Honeystorm
Dayclan The world fell in on itself in Goldenphantom's eyes. She failed again. Though when she tried to pull herself from Princepaw, it now felt so big she didn't know what to do. The pair, mother and daughter, fell silent for a long time. Even with the order to go back, her paws felt like they were encased in concrete. "I'm so sorry." She whispered, feeling Princepaw shake a bit before stretching, craning her neck backwards to look at her.
DayClan Illuminatedpath felt numb, he had stood beside Windchaser observing this all go down stunned, and when Glowstar spoke about DayClan leaving early he nodded in agreement and moved to go over to Autumngossamer. "Do you need any help?" He asked her. Once upon a time they were apprentices, he Illuminatedpaw, a nobody. Her, Heatherpaw, the top dog of the DayClan apprentices. The ruler of the roost. He'd listened to her during the aftermath of the Shadow Era, and seeing that her suffering had been so drawn out, he wanted to be there to extend a paw now. But hearing her talk about marrying Lovesmitten on the ashes of an enemy, made his whiskers twitch. That sounded like something she'd do. Some things never changed.

SUNCLAN Foxbane breathed a sigh of relief as Littlestar's pulse started up again. But, it couldn't last. To say she was in a bad state was to put it lightly. "Well, this wasn't exactly a normal death, was it? She's a SunClan cat, and she held Selene's power within her. At best, I can say that mortals were never meant to hold such power in that way, let alone the power of their rival." She nodded at the MoonClan medicine cat's assessment. "Seems so. She's also broken bones. Start licking her fur backwards to warm her up. The rest of you build something we can carry her on. Something flat and sturdy, we can't have her moving around a lot with her injuries."
Flamingstar had watched everything happen from where she sat, a completely emotionless expression. After Littlestar began breathing again, she could feel the relief sweep through the crowd. The Nightclan leader scoffed. "Oh sure, she killed a god but you all are worshipping the wrong cat!" She leaped from her perch on the tree branch, her owl clinging to her back. She practically waddled over to the Sunclan leader, looking anything but graceful and majestic like usual. "She has stolen my medicine cat from me! And I demand his return." She growled. Now that Littlestar was weakened from her fight, Flamingstar just might win this.
Dayclan
Windchaser shifted uncomfortably on her paws beside her mate. She hated Sunclan but was completely stunned by everything that happened. She wasn't sure if she should help or stand back and give Littlestar space. Before she could make a decision, Flamingstar spoke out and approached Littlestar threateningly. Windchaser held her breath, watching the confrontation.
"I'd like that a lot, thank-you. I have to go back to SunClan to get the litter of kits that weren't separated to DayClan," Autumngossamer said with a gentle smile to Illuminatedpath, she didn't know how much she missed seeing him and Windchaser until she started talking to the two again. Her gaze slid past Illuminatedpath to Goldenphantom, "There's someone I should talk to first though."
Autumngossamer walked over to Goldenphantom, "Are you alright?"
DAYCLAN
Glowstar grinned at Windchaser, she was staring off into space, she didn't hear anything she had said. Looking back at Foxbane she looked in her element, that was good though, she could talk to her another time. She was about to repeat that everyone should leave, but her clan was fixated on the drama in front of them, they always were the caring kind. No one wanted to leave until there was some kind of happy ending.
Fairytalepaw looked up at Goldenphantom in confusion, "What happened mom?"
SunClan Skipstep bristled rounding on Flamingstar when she neared. “She has more important things to worry about Flamingstar,” he growled. A warning look in his blue gray eyes. If she thought she could take advantage of Littlestar’s injured state she had another thing coming. To defend his mate he wasn’t above lashing out at a Queen.
Nightclan Bleakwind seeing Skipstep bristle immediately moved through the crowd to try and get close to Flamingstar, “It might be wisest to leave it for now,” he told her softly. After all Littlestar had slayed a god, drawing power from MoonClan’s god. It was clear Day, moon and sun were aligned in this moment, Flamingstar could bring trouble for herself if she pushed too hard right now.
