Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
How long had she been here? A moon? A moon and a half? Azura didn't even know anymore. It had been the worst time in her life, even including her youth in Absum Lux. There only the leader had it in for her. Here, the entire Clan made a group effort to brainwash her and every other initiate. She hadn't been taking it particularly easily. Azura used whatever excuse she could to escape whatever lessons the Janus planned. She had hidden more or less everywhere in the camp, and in the maze getting there. She had taken the 'initiative' to clean some random den to miss lessons so many times she lost count. She even reopened her wounds 'by mistake' when she hunted or something. The smell of herbs still clung to her pelt even now. Only the worst of her wounds remained, but they were covered in poultices from the night before.
Speaking of that, it was just about time to get up and find something else to do. Azura woke that night when the moon was falling to the horizon and the sky began to brighten. The camp would wake soon, and with that the Janus would continue their indoctrination. As for Azura, she had a plan, more of a prank, to prepare for today. Not a harmful one, just maybe enough to anger the Janus and some of the more devout. She just needed a partner-in-crime. She rose to her paws and looked around the den, eyeing the new arrivals. One of them, Ghazen, was getting up as well, but the pitch-black tom glared at her just as he did when they were both in Absum Lux. As a kit, it sent shivers up and down her spine. It was more or less the same now. Nope. Not him.
Her eyes settled on the other one. She recognized the former NightClan medicine cat from Gatherings. She never really paid enough attention to learn his name, but she recognized his distinctive short fur and bat-like ears. She weaved between the other initiates, then poking at Turbulentsea's side. "Hey, get up. Wanna ditch this place?"

Alabastor slowly opened one eye peering at the other initiate who had awoken him. It was the first time he had been allowed to sleep in the initiates den instead of the prison. Even though the nests here were scratchy, it was still an improvement to the smooth cold stone that he had been sleeping on for the past moon. His leg and scruff had been bound with cobwebs, having been injured by the Priest Promised himself, when he had refused to answer the other cat's questions "What did you have in mind?"
She rolled her eyes. "Does it really matter? Either you come with me, or we get taken by the Janus or someone else." She flicked he tail and turned around towards the exit of the den. She pointed to the herbs running up and down the length of her body with her tail before scraping some off with her paw. "Come on, it's a little bit of payback for all these." She didn't know the details of what the tom had been through, but she recognized what had happened to him.

"Revenge" It was really single minded of her, but he figured he might as well play along. Honestly he had nothing better to do, and if it worked he could return home. If it didn't, well it would be one step closer to convinvcing Bloodyrondo to actually kill him this time "very well" he rose to his paws, wincing slightly as this thin skin stretched under the cobwebs
"Well, revenge is a bit of a strong word. Call it... getting even. I don't wanna be here, so they gotta deal with me." She could see the cobwebs and other herbs sticking to his thin pelt, but lacked any idea of what he had been through over the past month. Azura assumed he suffered the same fate as her: found dying at the border and taken in. All that reduced to just a wince of pain was simply remarkable. "Aren't you a medicine cat or something? Can't you just take something for whatever's bothering you..." She trailed off as she forgot his name for a second. "Eh... Turbulentsea?"

"I could..." he trailed off, but a slight smile tugged at the edges of his lips "but that would be admitting weakness, that SunClan has won" he walked forward, a slight hesitation in his gait when his injured leg would bear his weight "They are so full of themselves, its high time someone showed them that they can't always get their way by using brute strength"
She liked him already. Azura mirrored his smirk as it grew across his face, turning her attention back to the network of tunnels before her. "I couldn't agree with you more." Soon enough, she could see the faint morning light from the tunnel exit. Instead of running to it she dove into another section of the caves where the smell of prey and paint grew stronger. "So, I was thinking we could have some fun with their paint? You know, paint a few moons here and there, one or two on our heads. Maybe we could just dump some paint and make some cool colors or something. Nothing harmful, just something to hurt their pride."

This seemed a little childish to be honest, but at the same time amusing. If nothing else it would keep the clan guessing about his intentions. Sometimes the best course of action was to act with little reason at all, to make your enemies over think and worry about what you were going to do next "If you mix them all, eventually it will turn black" he muttered turning over one of the leafs containing the paint onto the floor "We could also cover the floor in it, so that they have to ravel through it to get to us" he chuckled, imaging the mess that they were going to make
"That's boring though. We'll do that at the end when we're done with these paints." She walked over to the cool colored paints and looked them over. She had nothing against the Soothsayer or her Promised, but Azura always liked blues and greens more than reds and yellows. She grabbed the blue paint and dabbed her paw in it before walking over to Alabastor. "Hold still." She slowly drew a large, blue crescent moon on his flank with a star above it for a nice touch. "That's better." She pushed the leaf towards him. "Here, draw one on my forehead." Her eyes landed on the leafs of black paint next. "You know, instead of spilling black paint we could hide it so the Janus can't paint themselves?"

"Boring, but effective. These SunClan cats take such pride in their coats that we might just succeed in killing off half of them with heart attacks by the time the reached us" but he still dipped his paw into the paint, drawing the crescent moon on her forehead, dotting stars under her eyes "We could always dump them into the river by the initiates den, then no one could use the paints"
She chuckled and nodded. "Oooh I like that. We'll probably taint the paints bringing them inside it." She dipped her paw in the blue paint again and ran her paws down Alabastor's other flank, making sure to do a quick spiral at the end of each line. "I don't even understand why they like this stuff. It feels like I went swimming, but I'm not even cooler!" She was tempted to just wash it all off now. It just stuck in between her fur like the burrs in DayClan's forest.
She finished painting his other flank, revealing several small rivers flowing down his side. "You know, Littlestar has a fire on her forehead, so I decided to give you some rivers." She padded away from him again, and this time she walked over to the endless piles of warm colored paint. "Wanna draw something on me with these?"

Alabaster dipped his other paw into the paints, creating a firey ring around the moon on Azura's forehead, then circling around and paintingher tail so that it looked like it was on fire "This whole tradition seems rather pointless" he agreed
"It is. It only feeds their ego. You don't even know how much I want to smash theirs to pieces." All of the cats she had met here had egos beyond themselves. Bloodyrondo was, obviously, pious beyond reason and used it to justify everything. Then there was Romancefable, who thought his grand gestures made her owe him something. "I wouldn't wear this stuff if it wouldn't piss them off." She looked over the paints covering her fur. "Nice. I think these designs will irk a few of them. Now then..." She swept her paw across the floor and watched in glee as the spilled paints mixed together. "I think we can move on."

"There is nothing wrong with have pride in your clan, but SunClan does walk the fine line between pride and self-obsession" he agreed, watching as the paint mixed together on the floor "It makes it a rather simple thing to tip them over the edge"
"You think this place walks the line!? Pffft. They're far over it." She took another wide swing with her paw and knocked over the remainder of the warm colors. She looked back to him, and her eyes were twinkling with mischief. "Maybe they've already brainwashed you, hmm?"
"What in the world is going on here?" The Priest Promised had come to the paint storage to collect some for personal used only to find a couple of Initiates covering their fur. in unholy patterns with uncommon colors. Colors reserved for the High Priestess or special occasions, that's it. That was because cool tones were among the hardest to find and most valuable of colors. Immediately Bloodyrondo looked like he wanted to shred the both of them, "The last time anyone did something so foolish was when a couple of kits found their way in here... Alabastor, I expected nothing less from you... but Azura..." He truly looked hurt as he gaze at the initiate whose life he saved and whose fighting lessons helped him even now, "... I thought you were above this."
When the Priest Promised's voice caught her ears should couldn't help herself. She smiled. He prominently featured elegant paints and carefully made designs for the Clan to see, and now he could only paint with one color. No golds, no reds, and no oranges. Just plain, black paint. She swirled some of the viscous liquid at her paws before splashing it at Bloodyrondo. "Relax. It's just a fun little something for you. We can make a play, and Alabastor and I can be the villains. You know, with this and all." She tilted her head down she he could clearly see the moon insignia. "I mean, I'm an Eerie. What else did you expect?"

"So now the Little Flame tries to act like an adult" he mused, his whiskers twitching slightly in amusement as he watched the anger wash over the High Priest's face at the rather simple antics "Go on, I can't wait to see it"
"You're an Eerie?" Bloodyrondo's expression faltered. For whatever reason he had not learned this fact, she looked nothing like the rest of the Eeries that he knew. It changed everything and nothing at the same time. At least it explained why Glowstar hovered around her so much... and why she was so difficult...
He covered up his surprised expression quickly and tried to play it off as a joke, "I never would have guessed. Anyway. Clean up this mess of yours and then I'll take you to the Ceremony Springs to wash off. As punishment, you will not sleep until you have replaced all of the paints that you wasted. Good luck."
