Pineapplepaw had joined the crowd, tears staining her pretty golden fur. Though as soon as Swiftpaw spoke up, she barked a laugh that didn't sound choked up in the slightest. They may have just all been crocodile tears, but she didn't reveal that hand one way or the other as she shook the spare tears from her eyes. "See. I knew you'd like it. Better than whatever else we were gonna do today."
Meanwhile, up on her stump, Princepaw took her bows. A few of the cats threw flowers at her, a few even pulling some petals from their own crowns and pendants to shower her with. The soft sunset on her rosy pelt only seemed to make her shine brighter. She was truly alive on the stage, in love with it. "Thank you all for coming." It was only then, when her own eyes held a few tears, that her voice cracked some. Though as quickly as it was noticed, a couple other cats rushed in with moss to give to her.
"Sometimes, when you stay, you get a chance to talk to Princepaw more. But she must be exhausted after all that. I wonder how she does it all." Pineapplepaw's voice was a little harder, a little more analytical as she watched the crowd separate into their own groups again. "So do you wanna go back?"
Swiftpaw eyed the doting crowd and shook her head as a plan came to mind.
"No," she replied. "Let's head out and wait until everyone else has gone home. Then, once Princepaw is alone, we can go talk to her ourselves and see what she's really all about. She's not going to let down her guard with everyone else around, but I want to know what she's up to with all of these tricks."

Tricks, huh? Pineapplepaw wasn't entirely convinced there were any tricks. But if there were, she was dying to know them as well. Plus, she'd never seen Princepaw in a one on one setting. "Ooh, yes. I gotta know what her tricks are. Let's go..." Pineapplepaw looked around. They could just climb up the hill and wait but that sounded like too much work. So when she spotted a conspicuous bush, it was the perfect hiding place. "Over there."
Princepaw didn't notice the two hide in the bush or wherever they went. Some had left, but there were a good amount of stragglers crowding around her. It might take a while.
