Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Loelia-tyke felt the instinctive urge to backup, but only wound up falling over her back legs. Her back hit the ground as her wide gaze stared up at Cadet Louella. She looked so disfigured! She knew what her mother did, but no one was willing to tell tykes the gory extent of how bad Cadet Louella's injuries were. She twisted herself back onto her belly and managed to quickly dart away from her. Her adrenaline was pumping, but she didn't yet realize just how tired she was getting here, climbing up the steps, on top of trying to avoid the ex cadet.
"You couldn't kill me even on your best day," Loelia-tyke hissed at her, but her words came out wobbly and weak. She was afraid, but there was a fire in her heart as her claws unsheathed.
"Ha! We have a comedian. I've got to say, you're much more entertaining than Creek over there, when I threatened to kill him all he did was ask why. Why!?" Loulla's throat seized up on her then and she coughed, and coughed, and coughed until a pink-tinged ball of mucus fell onto the ground. She wiped the dribble from her mouth and returned her pale blue eyes to Loelia, "I'll tell you what, when I'm on my best day, I'll seek you out and give you a chance to do your worst. Really come at me and teach me a lesson." She put her face right up to Loelia's now, so close that it would be hard to even look her in the eye, "And then I'll make good on the promise I made Xuxa as I watched her bleed out at my feet."
Creek showed no signs of intervening, engrossed in his book, looking for something.
Loelia-tyke held Louella's gaze, but inside felt pitiful. What if she couldn't walk by then? What if she wasn't like Commander Mars, maybe she-
She inhaled a breath, she couldn't think that way. She got to Primal Instinct, climbed up all these stairs, and didn't back down to the ex cadet. Walking or no walking she would beat Louella's butt to the ground. She didn't have her siblings any longer, it was time to be strong on her own now. "Creek, do you think I'll be able to stay in Primal Instinct while you help me?" For the first time she didn't make her voice small out of fear and without holding back she had a determined and kinder sounding voice than before. Her tone still held a kitten softness to her voice, but there was a confidence that hadn't previously been there before.
Creek lifted his head away from the pages, he looked truly surprised by her request. This little she-cat was full of surprises. For the first them since they had met, a smile spread across his face and he padded over to the two she-cats.
"What a joke!" Louella was the first to speak, not even trying to hold back her laughter. It was gravely due to her recent bout of sickness: Her body weakened from Xuxa's attack, she'd managed to catch an upper respiratory infection, "You won't last a day on your own in the League. There are cats that eat runts like you for breakfast, literally."
"Louella." Creek said, his tail touching her shoulder, "You should get some rest."
She glared at Creek and a few tense seconds ticked by before the heavily scarred she-cat silently accepted his request. She padded back over to her sofa and disappeared around the armrest.
"Now, to answer your question..." Creek began, his attention fully on Loelia again, those stormy gray eyes of his were boring into the tyke's, "... of course you can stay. But Louella is right about cats who will want to hurt you. I am not very strong, at least not in conventional ways, and many cats in the League have it out for the Regime. The odds are stacked against you. But... If you manage to survive, and thrive... that would be pretty badass."
