Verne blinked a few times, her brow raised in surprise, before squinting at the other cat. Was she just playing her? There was no way a monster could be real...right? As the other cat sprang away, she laughed lightly. Of course. "You know, since we're both from the same place, we might be kin," she grinned, "how did you get all the way here? Why did you leave?" She was always curious to why her parents had left too, but they wouldn't give her anything.
Tarn stopped dead. It would be so exciting to meet her possible kin all the way out here! "I walked here, of course," she meowed, smiling at the joke. "But I just picked a direction and walked that way when I left. I didn't mean to end up here. I'm glad I did though so I could meet you!" When the loner was asked about why she had left, her bobtail gave a proud little wiggle. "I was sent out to spread the word about The Green One."

Huh, that's interesting. "How long did it take you to get here?" she asked, her head tilted to the side. She was glad too; it was rare to find anyone who even knew what life was like outside of the clan borders. "I've heard stories about the Green One, but I always felt like I didn't know enough about it. Do other cats here actually pay attention to that stuff? I thought all the clan cats were always a bit stubborn."
"It took many moons," Tarn replied, voice holding a hint of pride. "I saw many things on my way here." The loner put her paw down and winced. She'd momentarily forgotten. Again her attention was brought away from it though by Verne's question. "I have not yet met a cat who would believe, but I really haven't been here long. I'll find some I'm sure."

Verne laughed. "I mean...I might be a believer, if you're willing to tell me more," she offered, "my parents are from there, so I guess I should probably learn more about my heritage, right? Maybe I can wrangle my sister sometime too. I'd love to know more...it's just, we always heard the stories, but it's different when you're a kit, right? You just don't really get to know that much about everything."
Oh this was joyous news indeed! Tarn was jumping at the opportunity, so rare in an area with already religious groups. "Yes, your heritage is very important Verne. You must know all about where you came from. One day, you should return with me!" The she-cat tried to think about where to begin her explanation. She needed something that wouldn't immediately scare the other cat. "Let's begin with the Green One. You mentioned that you know the name. What stories have you already heard?"
