Relationships between SunClan and DayClan had been slowly getting back to normal, but the two clans were still not as tight as they used to be. So in order to help mend their relationship, plans had been put in place to have a party on DayClan's territory. But there were two problems... One - there was no holiday coming up. Well the summer solstice was, but celebrating it a month early was no problem. Right? TWO - DayClan had no idea they were coming. Sure nothing could go wrong, right? They would just throw a Kiki
Just as the sun reached its highest point in the sky a flood of SunClan cats came flooding over the clan's border into DayClan's territory. Everyone was fully painted, carrying delicious food, paint, and herbs to share their voices rising up high in the air loud enough to reach DayClan's camp as the cats ran in that direction. As the cats began to flood into DayClan's camp their voices became clearer as the spread out completely overwhelming the cats with their superior numbers
"Let's have a kiki
I wanna have a kiki
Lock the doors tight "
Prey was being thrown onto the freshkill as SunClan cats began approaching DayClan cats paint fresh on their claws to start applying it
"Let's have kiki
I'm gonna let you have it
Let's have a kiki
I wanna have a kiki
Dive, turn, work "
Just when they thought things would calm, more SunClan cats flooded into camp still singing
"Let's have a kiki
We're gonna serve
And work and turn and h-h-honey" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Littlestar appeared in the crowd of SunClan cats approaching Glowstar with a big grin on her face. She was painted elaborately but her designs far more playful than normal. The cats began to hum as Littlestar started to sing loud enough for all to here, answering all their questions, at least she thought it would answer most of them
"A kiki is a party
For calming all your nerves
We're spilling tea and dishing just desserts one may deserve
Glowstar had been sitting with Fia and Goldenphantom asking them about how patrols had went today. DayClan's territory was neutral grounds, meaning that any clan cat, rogue, kittypet, or loner was welcome to walk onto their lands so long as they didn't cause trouble or steal prey. DayClan's territory was famously gorgeous, flecks of golden seeds sailed through the air like embers, the wheat fields were so rich with color they looked as though they had been spun out of gold and mixed well with the tall wild flowers. The smell of apple blossoms from the nearby apple orchard floated in the air sending fruit florescent scents through every cats nose. The territory always felt too heavenly to keep to themselves so they allowed outsiders to take part in their paradise lands. However patrols were still necessary to show that there was a clan occupying the space and to check if there were any cats waiting near the border or even kits left behind. Today though the patrols had come up with nothing, however as it turned out there was a mess of people chaotically coming in.
The DayClan leader smiled as SunClan cats descended into the gathering space each painted and carrying in prey. Her emerald eyes fastened on Littlestar's as she sang, "You're too cute," She smiled and touched noses with the leader briefly. She took a moment to look around at all the SunClan cats that had funneled in before looking back at Littlestar, "I love it and I'm glad we're mending things. I know I repeatedly get annoyed with SunClan not taking accountability, but I want to say I'm sorry for taking it out on you in the past. I always understood in the past, it was just hard to accept, but I hope I've matured enough for our clans to get along respectfully." She said optimistically with an at first cautious smile that melted into a happy grin.

Littlestar purred nosing the other leader's cheek in acceptance of the her forgivness "Let's just have some fun tonight, and leave the past in the past" -------------------------------------------------------- Unseenlights nervously shuffled in towards the back of the crowd, the ground under her feet feeling strange and uneven. She knew SunClan like the back of her paw, but being surrounded by so many cats in an unfamiliar place was a bit unnerving for her. The only reason she had decided to go was that Duskslayer had insisted so that she could meet some of his family members, but how was she supposed to find him in this crazy loud crowd?
As SunClan cats began pouring into the camp, Smokepaw crouched low, frozen in place. He was shocked by the mass of colorful cats around him singing. What in the world was happening?
While the scaredy-cat black and white apprentice was cowering, his pitch black sister was sitting calmly, tail wrapped around her paws. Sootpaw cocked her head, watching the commotion with interest.
Jetpaw bounded over to the two apprentice a bundle of paints clasped at her jaws as she set them down to speak "Let's have a kiki!!!" she purred audibly filling the air with the warm sound "Let me paint your pelts so that you are ready for the party"she grinned her tail waving, not taking no for an answer as she moved forward with paint dipped claws extended reaching for the pelts of the terrefied apprentice. Jetpaw wasn't exactly the best at reading body language, so although she meant well... cookie
Smokepaw squeaked as a terrifying painted cat came at him, reaching forward with colorful claws. He covered his eyes with his paws and shook.
Sootpaw glanced over at her brother and rolled her eyes. What a kit. She meowed at the SunClan cat, "A kiki?" Her fluffy black tail swung back and forth in curiosity, feathers wrapped on swaying with the movement. She looked back and forth from her terrified littermate to the she-cat. He was making a bad impression appearing so fearful in front of another clan, so she offered up her own dark coat to be painted. "Here, put some color on me," she offered.
Her smile faded as it landed on Unseenlights with no Duskslayer around. She watched her briefly for a moment, but figured Unseenlights probably wasn't going to bust out some secret combat moves or tell a secret so there was no point in observing. Her true fear came from the fact that Unseenlights in every angle she looked at her was a good person, seemed like an average warrior in strength and held herself together moderately well. But if she became Duskslayer's mate good, average, and moderate wasn't going to cut it. There were people like Kotori's family who would try and harm them and there was so much more responsibilities than just DayClan and SunClan that Duskslayer was tied to. She knew that Unseenlights loved her son, but she wouldn't know until it was too late that this was going to be tough to handle. But in every which way she wanted Unseenlights to prove her wrong, to rise up and be able to handle whatever was thrown her way.
She walked up to Unseenlights, "Unseenlights, a pleasure to have you in DayClan, usually I only see you briefly in my visits to SunClan. Were you looking for Dusky?"
Suddenly Smokepaw's paws were pulled gently away from his eyes and then a little more forcefully he was refusing. "I'd recognize that cuuuuute little shriek of yours anywhere!"
Gingersnap stood before him, but she looked far more like a spectacle than she had during the eve of peace. Her claws were long and manicured with pastel colors and tiny gem stones sunken into the polish. Her tail stood up straight, but there was a thick band midway up her tail tying together a fountain of rainbow dyed colors. The colors trailed down almost touching the forest floor and her eyes were bigger and bluer with the help of the paint.
Smokepaw was notorious for being as scared as a mouse, but he also had a well-known tendency to become extremely clingy when shown attention. As his paws were removed from his eyes, he squeezed them closed until a familiar voice and scent hit him. Smokepaw's yellow eyes flew open in surprise. It was the she-cat from the Eve of Peace! He hopped up and waved his tail back in forth happily. He knew this cat! Tonight, Gingersnap looked incredibly fierce with her paint and gems. Her frightening blue eyes popped. "Gingersnap," he meowed, quickly bopping his nose against hers in greeting before pulling back, embarrassed. "Are your clanmates here to hurt us?? Should I fight? I don't wanna fight, you have to protect me." He pressed his dark fur against hers, shaking as he looked around at the loud, singing cats in his camp. "We're friends right? Unless you're gonna attack me, too?!" Suddenly Smokepaw felt alarmed. He had just made his first friend and already he had been betrayed! His life was so sad.

Jetpaw seemed to beam as she started applying paint to the other female apprentice as the tom took off towards Gingersnap "Boys, am I right?" she chuckled her gaze lingering after him for only a moment before snapping back onto Sootpaw "Anyway, what sort of design do you want!! I know your a dayclan cat and you don't know all the meanings and stuff, but littlestar said that for tonight we could just have fun with our designs and bend the rules a little for what we paint on the dayclan cats" a purr rumbled in her throat "Your really lucky, she never lets us bend the rules back at sunclan. I only put the wrong color on once and you would have thought mom was going to have a stroke. Made me go to the stream and wash it all off and everything" cookie
With everything going on, the sound of Glowstar's voice made her jump slightly to turn and face her. With so many SunClan cats invading DayClan's camp, didn't she have anyone better to talk to? Dusky had warned her that Glowstar might not approve of their relationship, but that was part of the reason that she had came here tonight was to meet her. Of course, she had thought Dusky would be by her side when it happened, but she wasn't going to let herself be intimidated. She swallowed hard but didn't flinch away "Actually I was looking for you" Faith
Gingersnap shivered as he said her names, "Ohh! You're giving me goosebumps all over, saying my name like it's the last thing you'll ever say," She said dreamily. Her gorgeous blue gaze seemed to teeter in the opposite direction at the mention of being his friend. "I'll protec' chu," She said misleadingly before leaning in close, "For one little peck of a kiss? All I'm askin' for is somethin' a wittle small." Her tail swished back and forth with a thirst in her eyes. Her tail slumped suddenly, "But I'll tell yah what, how about I do a good job and you give me a reward that fits the service, sound fair?" She asked with a cute wink.
"Interesting." Glowstar said simply. When people were judgmental they typically looked the person over, but Glowstar didn't, maintaining eye contact with her even when she didn't have to. However when she picked up on the musty scent of Regime she lifted her head to see Duskslayer in the crowd. There was no winning this conversation unless the two were alone.
"Hey," Duskslayer greeted to his girlfriend, making his way over to Unseenlight's side. His paw pressed up against the side of her paw before he gave her a lick across the snout. He would always press his paw against hers to let her know that he was about to kiss her. Most cats would be able to see their lover come up next to them, but since she was blind it felt unfriendly to have anyone that suddenly close to their face without warning. "Did I miss something dramatic?"
"Nothing at all, but could you go grab us a bite to eat?" Glowstar asked sweetly.
"Already did," Duskslayer said pushing a mouse forward.
"Mmm... I wanted a shrew, I know there's a shrew."
"Faris took it."
Glowstar and Duskslayer seemed to lock eyes.
"Unseenlights and I are going to go to the dirt place real fast," Glowstar said lightly.
"Oh yeah, I gotta go too so I'll wait outside," Duskslayer said, their gaze practically causing static to resonate between their eyes.
"Unseenlights was looking for me, Unseenlights, what were you going to say?" Glowstar asked, as the confrontational back and forth finally seemed to end.

Even though she couldn't see she kept her unnerving blue eyes on Glowstar, they were almost otherworldly even though their beauty came with the loss of her sight. Unseenlights was determined to hold her ground, even though internally she was quaking. But before she could say a word she felt the familiar touch of Duskslayers paw against hers, and the warmth of his tongue as he licked her muzzle. It was comforting to have him here even if he had shown up at the wrong time, the right time? It was hard to say really. She nuzzled up against Dusky's cheek, a reassurance that all was well and that his mother hadn't done something terrible to her in the two seconds that they had gotten to speak "I was going to say that you should come over and have a meal with us soon"
"Uhhhh," Duskslayer was the first to object... Kind of object. He couldn't say no to Unseenlight's, but the idea was so bad that he couldn't help, but make some kind of sound.
"I could have a meal with you in DayClan or SunClan," Glowstar offered gently, but her rooted composure seemed to slip, "I angered Dusky's sister and she's a sentinel in the Regime. The entire argument was my fault, but she doesn't want to talk to me ever again. I don't want to go back to the Regime and make her feel uncomfortable in her own home," She explained.
"Oh, I can even prepare us something," She added, trying to lighten the mood, "I'm really great at spicing up prey, I guarantee you that you'll love it."
Duskslayer's stomach audibly churned at the mention of Kaisra and Glowstar, but when she let go of the conversation he straightened up a bit more. He knew he shouldn't be mad at Glowstar for reacting with jealous rage that Kaisra chose to be with Shule over her. That the entire cruel trick was orchestrated by Foxbane, but he also realized that he was still mad at her either way. Even if the feeling was irrational.

Unseenlights twirled her tail around Dusky's, as his protest left his lips. Even if he thought this was a bad idea, she couldn't help it. If she was going to be with him, getting to know his family was part of the deal. But really, how bad could she be? Every leader had rumors swirling around about them, no matter how pristine their record was or wasn't. Most of it was utter non sense. At the very least, she had to give it a shot. "Ok, I mean that is fine. I'm sure that we could find some time to come meet with you here in DayClan. Right Dusky?" she purred nuzzling up against him. She still wasn't really caught up in all the things going on in the regime, as most of the cats there still treated her like an outside guest. They were polite for the most part, but not really welcoming and inclusive either
SUNCLAN BloodyrondoFaithracer "Dusky!" With both Bloodyrondo and Duskslayer only spending half of their time in SunClan lately, it had grown borderline impossible for the two toms to hang out like they used to do. When he saw him next to Glowstar he wasted no time padding right up to the two. He saw Glowstar as a motherly figure and definitely considered Duskslayer as a brother. He rubbed his cheek affectionately against his best friend with a deep rumbling purr, only noticing Unseenlights was there when he nearly head-butted her. The Priest Promised quickly took a step away to give the other two cats some space. His smile fell. He liked Unseenlights and all but he barely knew her and didn't like how much she hogged Duskslayer, "Oh, uh, and Unseenlights. Nice to see you too." He didn't mean to emphasize the word 'see,' but it came across that way. Next he nodded briefly to Glowstar but didn't bother introducing himself, they spent more time together these days than he did with his own leader, "Hope I'm not interrupting anything. Isn't this kiki party thing great? I was skeptical at first, but Littlestar really brought it."
Discordantpawcookieracer "You should paint her fur with fire, Jetpaw. It will look great against her dark coat. Almost like a midnight sun," Discordantpaw padded up to the two other apprentices with a bemused smile on her face. She was wearing an eye-catching turquoise and royal blue that was applied with such finesse that even though the colors weren't quite they were unmistakably flames. It looked sickening against her own dark calico coat, "You're Sootpaw from the Eve of Peace, right? It's my pleasure to finally speak with you."
DAYCLAN Diamonddust (open) Diamonddust dropped the fresh-kill she had in her mouth and booked it toward the Warrior's den the second she heard SunClan's singing in the distance. The only thing she hated more than strangers were surprises, so this was pretty much her worst nightmare. She sat trembling in her nest for awhile as the singing died down and casual conversation picked up. Slowly she felt the chain of anxiety around her throat begin to loosen. Cats were laughing, gossiping, and all-in-all seemed happy. She knew it was fun out there. The cimarron she-cat gulped and rummaged through her next for a veil; finding one, she haphazardly placed it over her eyes and took a deep breath. "You'll never stop being a scaredy cat if you keep hiding out like this." Diamonddust told herself as she shakily exited the den. She held her head up high but was only outside for a few moments before she ran face-first into an unfamiliar cat (SunClan; your character).
Sootpaw considered this. She looked back at the red feathers attached to her tail and felt the choice was an easy one. "Can you give me something fierce? My name is Sootpaw, by the way. What's yours?" The black she-cat watched in fascination at the craziness going on around her. She didn't express her own emotion much, but the way the SunClan cats were carrying on was frightening even if it was meant to be joyful. Maybe it was the paint. As she was looking around, a familiar looking cat approached her. Her turquoise paint looked chaotic on her fur, and Sootpaw was surprised when the cat came up and knew her name. Sootpaw cocked her head and answered, "Yes, that is me. But I don't know your name, my apologies." She looked back at the apprentice offering to paint her and amended her previous request. "Fire seems fierce. Let's do that." @jadie racer
Smokepaw was astonished by Gingersnap's words. His mouth gaped open, and he whispered, "Is that what friends do?" The tom wasn't used to being friends with anyone, and he was pretty sure he hadn't seen cats doing that in DayClan. Bur maybe it was a strange SunClan tradition, so he shrugged it off. "But yes, anything, Gingersnap. I don't want to get you in trouble for helping me." Smokepaw was annoyingly oblivious to the spirit and party-atmosphere around him, instead focusing in on the scary aspects of something new. He looked around them nervously, but there were no signs of fighting yet. @faith

SUNCLAN Discordantpawcookie "My name is Discordantpaw." The calico replied, her expression didn't reveal anything but she was a little annoyed to not be recognized. She thought she left bigger impacts than that, guess she needed to step up her game, "I'm Funk E'tan and Foxbane's daughter. I could add more color to that if you want but I fear their reputation precedes them. So, what's your story, Sootpaw? You born and raised in DayClan or did you find them on your darkest day like everyone else? DayClan is a wonderful Clan, they let anyone join."
Uneseenlight's ear flickered back towards her head at the sudden appearance of the priest promised, but it was the only sign that it had really bothered her. She shrugged and licked Dusky's cheek "I suppose this conversation will just have to wait until later. Glowstar, Bloodyrondo" she dipped her head respectfully to the other cats, gently tugging on Dusky to leave with her. Her moment to speak with the DayClan leader had been interrupted to many times, and it wasn't going any where. Besides Dusky seemed to be upset that she had asked Glowstar to share a meal with them, so perhaps it was all for the best. Jadie, Faith
Jetpaw nodded "flames would look good on you" she narrowed her eyes on Discordantpaw. Even though the two of them didn't get along, she supposed it would better to at least try and put their diffreces aside for the party
Sootpaw stood there awkwardly as Discordantpaw cut in before the third she-cat could offer her name. She twitched an ear when she heard the names of the apprentice's parents and replied, "I may have heard of them." She left it at that, choosing to ask no more about this cat. There was something about her that Sootpaw couldn't put her paw on, hovering just under the surface. She made a gut decision that Discordantpaw was someone she couldn't trust. Still, she answered the questions thrown at her briefly. "I am a DayClan cat, born and raised. And in my darkest day, I stayed."
Jadieracer "We always make time for family," Duskslayer promised reassuringly. He smiled feeling her soft touch and returned her affection as he lovingly rubbed into the side of her neck, his paw tracing over her paw comfortingly. His head tilted up unconcerned at the call of his name, but his turquoise eyes immediately widened at the sight of his friend. He pulled back a sly grin, "Bloodyrondo!"
He turned away from Unseenlights and pressed up against Bloodyrondo's shoulder before moving back again. His eyes teared up fast and he immediately wiped at his eyes like something were stuck in them, "Jeez, it's been so long," He laughed, moving his paw away from his eyes as he stared happily into Bloodyrondo's. His grin easily melted into a smile, "I've missed you."
"Yeah it is great," Glowstar said to Bloodyrondo, her paw rubbing up against her own leg in thought, "Hey, about the gathering." Her emerald eyes met his with a sincere expression, "I should never have disrespected you like that, I wasn't acting mature. When you insult people instead of adding your own intelligence to a meeting it makes me feel this natural anger. You're so talented, I just want to see more of it, but I was definitely not level headed at your age. You're already great and the last thing I want to do is make you feel under appreciated. I'm really sorry for treating you that way."
Duskslayer felt Unseenlights tugging on him to leave looked back to Bloodyrondo, "I'll swerve back around to see you before the party ends!" He called over the noise of the party. Duskslayer's tail intertwined around Unseenlight's, "Have you ever danced before?"
(My full username is ifaith1, if you trace over any users username you'll see it. But yeah, my bad, when I first came on here I didn't even think to put down Faith and it's on my list of biggest regrets xD)
Gingersnap giggled, "It's what boyfriends and girlfriends do," She said, leaning in closer to his face. He could feel her warm breath against his muzzle now, "So are you going to be a good boy tonight and give me a kiss? I'll take you away from this party," Her hips swayed back and forth to the slow movement of her tail in anticipation of his answer, "Take you somewhere better," She whispered in his ear.
Smokepaw's mouth opened and closed like a fish. "B-b-but we aren't...-" he tried to interject before Gingersnap kept talking. He glanced around awkwardly, hoping for an escape route, but the other cats around him seemed busy and he knew better than to bother Sootpaw. "I-I think I'mnotscaredanymore," Smokepaw forced out, still obviously shaking. He was stupidly trusting, so he was now over the fear that Gingersnap would take him somewhere quiet and sacrifice him, but he also wasn't sure what her endgame was. Cats just didn't talk to him like this. Still, he felt like he should hold up his end of the bargain, so Smokepaw leaned in and touched his nose against her face. He slipped against a spot of paint that hadn't fully dried and felt his nose glide across her fur, smearing the paint on them both. "Now you- you have to keep me safe." He tried to keep his quiet voice firm.
