Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Bloodyrondo purred as Duskslayer rubbed against his side. He was so happy that he barely even thought about how it would mess up his body paint. He hadn't used any elemental glamour for his brilliant gold and purple designs on his pelt today, having tirelessly applied it himself mostly to show off to DayClan but also in anticipation of this reunion, "You need to come and visit SunClan more often, you mouse-brain. You're my right-hand man."
He then heard Glowstar speak up and focused his attention back to her while Duskslayer moved back to Unseenlights. The Priest Promised listened to the she-cat speak with a confused expression on his face. Apologizing like this - heartfelt - wasn't really part of SunClan culture and he had no idea how to respond to it. He appreciated the complements, of course, but they were coming from a place he couldn't understand so even they made him feel awkward. The longer Glowstar talked the more uncomfortable he became to the point where he couldn't even look her in the eye. Finally she stopped talking which was a blessing and a curse because now he also needed to reply.
"Uh... thank you, Glowstar..." He began awkwardly, grasping for something to say, "Yeah... Thank you... That gathering really was something, wasn't it? There are so many ignorant cats leading other Clans. Haha... Ha..." He looked to Dusky, kind of hoping that his friend would step in right now, but instead the tom dismissed himself and padded off with that she-cat of his. He'd been betrayed. Bloodyrondo looked back to Glowstar with a weak smile, "So... don't suppose you have any good treats laying around? I know it's a surprise party but I also know you always have something up your sleeve."
"I can't imagine you having many dark days in DayClan," Discordantpaw said with a laugh, sitting down now next to Jetpaw while the other apprentice worked on Sootpaw's pelt. She had a light grin on her face. She seemed to be enjoying herself, "Although now I am curious. Please share your tragic backstory."

Unseenlights felt the heat rush to her cheeks at his suggestion, her tail fluffing out slightly. No one had ever asked her to dance before, and why would they? Not only was she the daughter of one of the first cats executed by Foxbane, but she was also blind. It wasn't that she hadn't been to her fair shares of dances and festivals, but before Duskslayer she had never been anyone's first choice "No, I.. Uhm" she stammered feeling embarrassed that she honestly had no clue how to dance and had never been asked before. She always tried her best to be honest with Duskslayer and she didn't want to lie to him about having danced before, even though it was a little embarrassing "but it would be an honor to dance with you" Faith
"I'll keep you safe and extra close," Gingersnap promised with a mischievous smile as her paw tip toed across his paw, "C'mon, let's get out of here, I know a quiet place."
Her tail kissed up against Smokepaw, lingering around his chin before it angled away from him. White Tree was the best place to take him, not only was it fun and one of SunClan's favorite pieces of territory in DayClan, but Sun and Day lovers often met beneath the tree. They could be the next couple! She was practically see hearts now as she skipped a bit more merrily, "C'mon Smokepaw, I gotta get you to safety," She giggled in anticipation.
"C'mon," Glowstar said teasingly with a gesture of her head. She padded off towards their freshkill pile, "There's um... Some news I need to share with you too so I'm glad that you're here."
She nosed the rabbit out of the freshkill pile to look through the rest of the prey. Pulling out a chinchilla, indigenous to only DayClan she walked it over to the wisteria throne and placed it down. She skinned the chinchilla faster than any average person should be able to. Grabbing some spices she began to sprinkle black pepper and sea salt onto the prey, "I met up with Funk E'tan and Foxbane recently and Foxbane proposed to me and Funk and we both said yes." She pushed the prey towards his paws, "So... How do you feel about that?
Duskslayer leaned in close, his chin resting on her shoulder, warming her body, "Can I tell you a secret? I've never danced either."
He moved back to lick her across the muzzle reassuringly, "Don't ever forget, Lights, you're the best kind of gorgeous. Every time you pour your heart into anything or anyone I can see a brightness grow from the inside out. When you dance I swear to you the night is going to get a little brighter." His paw gently brushed into hers, "Lift your paw back and I'll move forward, then you bump into my paw and I'll move back."

Unseenlight's fur lifted a little as his words sent a shiver down her spine. He had never danced before? She was genuinely surprised, but it was so sweet. She nuzzled up against him "Your secret is safe with me" she promised lifting her foot at his command. Had it been anyone else she would have refused out of fear of looking ridiculous, but just being near him and his kind words gave her the confidence boost that she had needed as she slipped her foot backwards as he lead her in the dance, a smile brightening her face as their movements began, her heart pounding in chest as his honey dipped words continued to come from his lips "The let us shine as bright as the stars" Faith
As her fur was being painted, Sootpaw fully focused her attention on Discordantpaw. The other apprentice was obviously not a fan of DayClan. She didn't need to share her story with a cat who seemed like the type to use it against her. It was better that she shared nothing and no emotion to this she-cat, Sootpaw's defensive nature had a habit of sneaking out regardless. "Do you have something against my clan or do you just think SunClan is that great?" she asked, avoiding the snide question directed at her. Jadie

Smokepaw felt the tickle of Gingersnap's tail against his face. He didn't know why she was giggling so much if they were in danger. She was the bravest she-cat he knew, besides his sister! "Where is quiet? You mean the nursery? We could definitely try to hide there," he whispered, looking around to make sure her scary clanmates weren't overhearing them. Faith
Soon enough they were dancing, sure it was a few short step move, but they were moving their paws back and forth together. There was a rhythm they could both feel together that no one else could hear. He loved staring into her eyes, watching the slight flicker of emotion change her gaze, but in this moment he closed them. He could feel much more in the way they carried their feet across the dance floor. Never had he felt so in tune with her, perfectly alone with her than in these moments. They danced like no one was watching and it couldn't have been a more perfect moment. To feel so unapologetically himself with the girl he placed on the highest pedestal possible. Not because she needed to fit some cookie cutter glamorized version of what a girlfriend should be, but because she already was perfect. She was valued highly because that's what she was, worthy.
"I guess dancing isn't that hard when you have a partner."
"No way! I'm talking further, let's get away from all this," Gingersnap purred. She led the way out of camp perfectly, not many knew this, but she had been here before as a kit. She had wandered to DayClan's territory in the dead of night and had been found out. When she had she played hide and seek with some of the kits there and learned a bit about the territory around camp. But that only got her so far, she had to find the quiet place herself. Spying out a hill not far away she knew that was what she was looking for and turned back to Smokepaw, "Up there on that distant hill, that's our perfect safe place."
SUNCLAN Bloodyrondo followed after Glowstar curiously. He was happy to be on his feet and moving, it helped work away the tenseness in his muscles he felt after the awkwardness spawned by the DayClan she-cat's apology. His mouth watered when he saw her select some particularly appetizing prey from the fresh-kill pile and his mood was very nearly restored, just in time for Glowstar's most recent statement to steal the air from his lungs.
"You WHAT?!" He couldn't think of a worse pairing if he tried. Murderous Foxbane, Heartless Funk, and... sweet, kind, motherly Glowstar? Absolutely not, he would not allow that, not in a million years, "I don't know what kind of leverage or blackmail they have against you to make you agree to something so foolish, but I'll do everything I can to get you out of it. I will not speak ill of my former High Priestess but Funk is a natural disaster whose most redeeming quality is that he's got good looks and a smooth voice. You deserve so much better than that." Faith
"Answering a question with a question, huh? You've got something to hide? That's a classic move of a coward, but I think it's cute," Discordantpaw purred, leaning in close to Sootpaw, their pelts brushing slightly. The icy blue pain framing her face made her indigo eyes look almost black next to them, but a beautiful horror, "I don't have anything against DayClan. I find that charming, actually. It's a very different kind of Clan than SunClan but both have their perks..." cookie
Smokepaw nodded solemnly. Gingersnap had many good ideas. He was lucky to have her as a friend. "That hill?" he said conversationally as he followed her. "That's so smart Gingersnap! That way we can see someone coming. Great vantage point." Faith
Sootpaw's black fur bristled at Discordantpaw's words. How dare she call her a coward? The apprentice moved away from the other cat who had painted her fur and brushed by Discordantpaw, letting some of the wet paint smear against her coat. "I am not a coward, I just think my past is none of your business." She walked away but forgot the basic rule that you shouldn't turn your back on a rival cat. Jadie
"There's no blackmail involved, I love each of them and I know people say I deserve better, but I think they deserve better than me. Funk had been nothing short of a gentlemen to me, but I left him to explore my feelings with Foxbane. Then I left her when I thought she had betrayed me, but she had remained loyal the whole time. I misjudged, but they loved me all the same. I promise you, I'm happily getting married. I know how they behave with others, but to me they're the love of my life, I want this. I hope I can be a worthy step mother to you and um... The other hundred children I'll be adopting," She said, which should be more intimidating, but originally she had eyes for Deal so this option was actually less stressful than his would have.
SUNCLAN
"I'm... SMART?" Gingersnap said gleefully, "That's so handsome of a tom to say, admiring a woman's intellect, what a catch!" She adored.
When they got to White Tree she walked up the hill looking back down at him to make sure he was coming, "What an amazing view we'll have of everything when we get to the top. I bet you must come here all the time!" She exclaimed.
"Right..." Bloodyrondo did not look very convinced by the argument Glowstar was making. Funk E'tan and Foxbane were both pretty awful cats. They deserved each other, but they shouldn't drag an angel like Glowstar down with them. There was little he could do to dissuade, her, she'd made up her mind. He sighed, "And just because you are going to marry Funk and Foxbane, it doesn't mean you have to look after their kids too. They sure don't." He wasn't going to acknowledge the whole step-mother comment directed at him seeing as doing that was the same as giving approval to the union which he most certainly did not. Faith
Discordantpaw frowned and, in one motion, slashed at Sootpaw's shoulder with unsheathed claws (you can determine damage / it it hits). The mostly black tortoiseshell she-cat drew her paw to her mouth and gave it a few licks then began to work at correcting the smeared body paint on her shoulder. She didn't so much as glance at Sootpaw, unconcerned with what the black-furred she-cat did next. It all happened so quickly that it was hard to believe that anything had happened at all.
"Oops, sorry, I saw a flea and couldn't help myself," She said sweetly, smiling once more, "Maybe if you mom was still around she would have made sure to keep those pests out of your fur." cookie
Since he was larger than her, Smokepaw kept her pace and followed Gingersnap quite easily. However, he was constantly throwing glances over his shoulder to make sure they weren't being followed. When Gingersnap spoke again, he gave her his full attention though his back was crawling not having eyes behind him. "Oh, haha," he laughed nervously. "N-no. I don't come up here.... I only did now 'cuz you said to." Faith
Sootpaw flinched back as the claws grazed her. It was fairly deep, not as bad as it could have been but enough to definitely hurt. She got the feeling that Discordantpaw had held back but the idea didn't really settle her. It also worried her that she had so blatantly cleaned the blood off her claws like that afterward. Sootpaw didn't want to mess with her anymore, so she decided to choose her words more carefully from now on. "Maybe so," she answered back, eyes trained on Discordantpaw warily. There had of course been no flea there, but she played along anyway. What else could she do? Jadie
