Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"'Course not. We'll go to the training grounds," Oakshade replied, stretching as he moved out of the way so Stridesplash could exit the nursery. He had at least a head in height on the other tom but knew he was not as fast. Plus, Stridesplash was older than him and had more experience. Oakshade really wasn't sure if he could win this fight, not without his claws, but that wasn't really the point, "When was the last time you had a good fight? For me, I was sparring with a few of the apprentices, although I don't know if you could call that proper fighting, haha..."

Stridesplash merely walked quietly, a flick of his tail the only thing that showed he had even heard the other cat speak. As they reached the training grounds, he dropping into position waiting for Oakshade to do the same. He never attacked an unaware opponet. His one floppy ear was folded over, he held his head slightly tilted. A variation on the battle form that most SunClan cats were familiar with. He didn't plan on loosing this, the time for words was over. He wouldn't allow this tom to push him around when it came to dealing with his mate.
"Well, since this was my idea, you can go first," Oakshade put some space between the two of the and dropped into a semi-defensive crouch. He had received his Warrior training in MoonClan so he also had a different fighting style than most other SunClan cats, although truth be told he didn't have very much experience nor did he particularly like fighting. It just seemed like the best thing to do at the time.

Stridesplash waited until he was in position, even though he was angry he wasn't a savage. Once Oakshade was in position, he launched himself forward staying close to the ground and coiled like a snake able to strike quickly, accurately, and swiftly. He lashed out with his paws in a myriad of blows from different angles, before retreating back to his defensive position ready to move to avoid incoming attacks
Oakshade was not a very quick tom and tanked Stridesplash's blows without becoming unbalanced. He was used to being a punching bag, but he could already feel soreness in along the side that the other tom had struck, he had underestimated his strength. He grinned, "Is that all you've got?" He wanted to instigate another attack but knew with one look the Stridesplash was ready to play defense. With a muted yowl, Oakshade launched himself at Stridesplash, hoping to intimidate him with his size and knock the other tom to the ground.

Classic. Just charge on in and rely on your size and brute strength. Stridesplash waited until the last moment, standing strong before suddenly giving way. One second he was there, then he just wasn't.. He ducked and rolled, making himself to small of a target until he was safely out of reach and back into a defensive stance ready for his next moving swaying slightly
"You're a quick one. No wonder they call you Stridesplash," Oakshade commented, coming to a slow halt after his initial attack. As he had expected, the other tom had played defense, but he hadn't quite expected him to duck and roll like he did. It was very skillful. Oakshade wouldn't have been able to pull it off, but Tinymutiny probably could. The two of them would make a great pair in battle...
Right there in the middle of battle he went doe-eyed. Awww, can you imagine? Big old Oakshade tanking the blows and forcing the enemies to their knees, while Tinymutiny was the snake in the grass, dispatching each foe before they even knew she was there. At heart Oakshade was not a fighter and it showed while he gave the other tom more than enough of an opening.
(Stride can pin him & win or you can do anything else, surprise me lol)

As Oakshade's gaze clouded over, he didn't hesitate. Surging forward and upwards until he had the much bigger tom on his back with his claws gently rasping against his neck, staring down at his with wide blue eyes lowering his muzzle downwards at it graze across the vulnerable throat "Now then, your lucky this isn't a real fight" he pushed away letting the bigger cat get to his paws "I'm going back to my mate now, if you can keep your mouth shut, than you can join us. Other wise I will be happy to demonstrate once more"
"I don't need permission to visit my sister," Oakshade corrected Strideslash after a few awkward coughs. His brother-in-law truly was formidable, ruthless, even. Were all SunClan Warriors like that? Tinymutiny, Foxbane, Bloodyrondo, they all acted first and asked questions later. Clearly be found it endearing to some extent but suffocating in others. Did they not know how to have fun, that it was okay to lose and be wrong? Oakshade would admit his shortcomings all day long. He had nothing to hide.
The large brown tabby got back to his paws and stretched, then touched his tail-tip to Stridesplash's shoulder, "Any time you get angry at me, just tap me on my shoulder like this and I'll meet you here at sunset. No questions asks. You can shred me all you want if it makes you feel better."

"No you don't need permission, but when I say she needs her rest next time you'll think twice before waking her" but his tone was a little more light hearted than before. Stridesplash grinned " and you are on"
