Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Burningember couldn't help but smile as Finchrunner spoke. That actually sounds amazing...how have I not thought about doing something like that he thought as he glanced up to the spot the she-cat motioned to. He never really thought about watching the stars but being up there, he realized that it made a great vantage point. I wonder who else knows about this place besides her...
He was caught by surprise by the question breaking him out of his daydream. He figured she went silent as she was remembering something but didn't want to interrupt her from it. "Oh, let's see...Well, I like to harass my twin, Icefrost at every opportunity I get," he said with a chuckle, stalling to find a decent answer to give her. "But seriously, I enjoy taking walks in the forest, especially in the morning. There's just something about the morning air that's just...refreshing, you know what I mean?"
Finchrunner listened on, nuzzling into the damp pelt under her unintentionally, lost in the warrior's words. "I get that, I get that completely." She breathed with wonder, blinking slowly at nothing in particular. There is something magical about the early mornings. It's so peaceful with a serenity that makes you feel like you're in a whole new world." She began dreamily, a small smile growing across her expression as she spoke. "It feels like you are the only cat in the world as the rest of it is deep in their dream lands."
Burningember paused for a moment, the feeling of something burrowing into his pelt becoming more present. "E-exactly," he stammered out in response. "It's just like that." He couldn't help but feel uncomfortable in his current situation, but he couldn't let it show, so he attempted to remedy a "Hey, you know what? One of these day, er - mornings - would you like to, maybe, go out together?" Realizing what he said, his fur burned with embarrassment. Did I really just say? Even though I just really met her, I just asked her out! "I mean, um...uh..." he was at a loss for words. How could he recover from something like that? I hope she doesn't think it's too weird to ask.
Once the invitation reached the warrior's ears, Finchrunner couldn't help but perk up in surprise, staring at Burningember in a moment of confusion. Wait, he was inviting her to-
"Yes!" She immediately and almost too excitingly agreed before clearing her throat harshly, faking a cough before recollecting herself "I mean- yes, it would be great to have some company- I really rarely do so it would be a nice change." She tried to play off her excitement but it was too late.
"T-that's great," he hesitantly exclaimed, relieved that she accepted his offer. He was as shocked as she was though. At least that gave him something to look forward to after they were finally free to go back to camp. He let out a nervous chuckle, unsure of what else to say, having been caught in the moment.
