Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Littlestar watched as the cats ready to face initiation were escorted into the ceremony springs, each one holding a sunflower from burial grounds that they had selected. The initiates were not given much guidance, just told to pick the flower that speaks the most to them and wait at the bridge until it was time for them to cross over. A few warriors had been sent to fetch them, leading them up the hill. They had a large group of initiates attending this time, and she couldn't help but wonder how many of them would pass... and how much blood would be shed.
The first to appear was Lapis. The she-cat was one of Mistyrose's daughters from her very first litter. She had been surprised that she had choose to go through initiation. She found her golden gaze scanning the crowd and landing on Mistyrose before moving on to the next initiate. The next two were from MoonClan. A brother and sister who had come to SunClan in search of love. She could feel the anticipation from the crowd. Meadow was the former leader of their archenemies... Had they been successful in converting her?
However it was the last initiate that had managed to capture everyone's attention. Quiet a feat when standing beside the former MoonClan leader... It was none other than Bloodyrondo, her promised who had recently been stripped of this rank and made into an initiate in an effort to reform and give him another chance instead of out right banishing him. Her eyes met his, having not given him very long to find and pick his sunflower.
Each of the initiates placed down their sunflower at their feet before take a step backwards
"Initiates, you have worked hard serving SunClan, and learning the ways of the Sun God. You've proven that you can act as a part of SunClan, and you can work as a part of SunClan, but now, the Sun God will tell us if you truly have the heart of a SunClan cat. Step forward, Initiates, and let the Sun shine on your souls."
Though she had no idea why she was suddenly being herded up the hill with the other initiates she made sure to keep her head held high, and not show any sign of nervousness of fear. The small queen choked back a hiss as a warrior stepped to close to her. With her and Stridesplash's kits due any day she wasn't too thrilled about being so far from her nest. She had been hesitant when picking her Sunflower, if only because she felt like she had defaced someone's grave but, given her position in the clan, and her current condition she decided to keep her mouth shut on the matter.
Roble had selected a sunflower that was particularly light in color, its large round petals reminiscent of the moon. He hadn't thought much about it at the time but now that it was lined up next to the fiery yellow ones he felt a little uneasy. SunClan was a rumor mill and he could only imagine what the gossips would say about him now... most likely something about how he must still worship the Moon Goddess. Well, joke's on them. He had lived his whole life under the Moon Goddess and not so much as seen a sideways glance of her. He'd broken plenty of rules, too, and still, no divine retribution, no intervention. Roble had believed the Gods to be nothing but a legend until he met the Sun God face to face. The MoonClan expatriate was not so sure what to make of that massive, powerful cat but he was certainly not about to deny his existence any longer. But follow him? Obey his every command? That was a huge commitment to make now that he could put a face to the name. In agreeing to Initiate, though, he pretty much had already signed the contract. He may have given up his soul but at least he'd get the girl. He stepped forward at Littlestar's command with his hazel eyes shining brightly. --- Bloodyrondo looked positively annoyed to be sitting among the lowest members of the Clan when he aught to be standing up top with Littlestar. It was a joke to make him pick a sunflower at all. The Sun God knew his heart well enough to promote him to Priest Promised when he was just an apprentice. None of his devotion had faltered since then and the only reason he was down here at all was for Littlestar to flex her power. He had picked a large sunflower but nothing particularly flashy, something simple that he would use for decoration in his den when all was said and done. Put it somewhere Littlestar could easily see, singed and all, like a badge to say he was Chosen. He stepped forward a little dramatically with his tail high in the air and his celadon eyes meeting Littlestar's eyes directly. To a cat that knew him well, he was clearly humiliated and eager to get his life back on track.
Tinymutiny couldn't help but watch nervously, her fur bristled nearly trembling as Roble moved forward to place his sunflower down on the ground. The small she-cat had just received her warrior name... Would Roble even live to hear it? Her claws dug into the earth below her feet tearing at the ground until it was fine sand between her claws. She was torn. If he was going to be killed she didn't want to watch, but she also felt the strong urge to stay and protect him should things go badly..Her heart thrummed in her chest, the mouse-brained fur-ball had really done it now... This was it... If he didn't let the Sun God into his heart, it all would be over.
Nikkohydrangea sat at the front end as close as he could get to Bloodyrondo, his watchful gaze looking out for him. When he met his friends eyes Nikko's shoulders rolled back as he sat up a bit higher in his presence. "Wooh, go Bloody," He said, his voice not exactly the enthusiastic type, but it was an attempt. Bloodyrondo was there for him and most of all looked out for him, if it wasn't for him he would have decided to die like he always wanted to. Now the only reason he was alive was because Bloodyrondo asked him to, his soul belonged to him, which meant his presence towards the priest promised was very loyal and supportive. Having been raised by Mistyrose who had very hands off, distant approach to parenting he couldn't understand why Littlestar stoop as low as she did to humiliate and harm Bloodyrondo like this. He always thought of her as a sane person, but maybe he was off. However his mom trusted the priestess and she was never off about a person, which meant there was something he wasn't quite picking up. This always meant it was something emotional, he was observant, but when it came to emotions he was always a little slow on picking them up and understanding them largely because emotions were meant to be felt, not understood.

Littlestar
SunClan High Priestess
The Peace Keeper
Littlestar's gaze fell upon Bloodyrondo as they prepared their flowers. Even now he still carried himself with the same air of overconfidence that had gotten himself into a fight with her not so long ago. Even now standing before her ready to face judgement he didn't even quiver. It was one of the most annoying things about him, but also on of his greatest qualities. He rarely showed weakness, always sticking to his decisions. It would help make him a strong Priest one day, but only if he learned when to back down and apologize. Strength was an asset, but could just as easily lead to his down fall.
Taking in a deep breathe, she watched as the sunflowers started to ignite.
Lapis' sunflower became consumed in red flames, criping the edges of the flower and spreading towards the center in a spriral.
Roble and Meadow's flower ignited immediately, bright blue flames licking at the delicate petals reaching high into the sky in a blazing inferno far above their heads. The heat was almost unbearable, but just as quickly it began to die down, the blue turning crimson and gold...
However perhaps most shocking all was truly the lack of flames, Bloodyrondo's flowered growing darker as it lied in the shadows of the blazing flowers on either side.....
Littlestar felt her heart sink, a darkness falling behind her. Everyone here but the new initiates knew what it meant for your flowers not to catch fire... But Bloodyronod... He would know the harsh truth of what this represented and what she must do next...
"Lapis, Meadow, Roble, the Sun has examined your heart and seen that you are truly worthy of joining SunClan. As the tides shift, abandon your old lives and begin them anew in service to the Sun God. I now grant you your new names.. From this day forward you shall be known as Lazulilagoon, Mapledawn, and Oakshade" cheers broke out in the crowd, as cats moved forward to remove the newest warriors from the clearing subtly
Littlestar cleared her throat, ears folding back against her head as a sudden silence fell over the crowd waiting to see exactly what she would do. Would she really order the execution of her former promised? " Idiotbrother, the Sun has examined your heart and seen only treachery and lies. You came to SunClan under false pretenses and made a mockery of our deity. You shall ......" her words suddenly cut off as someone came racing out of the crowd
Bloodyrondo didn't have more than a few heartbeats to consider what Littlestar was saying before a Janus came racing through the crowd. Bengal fur and celadon eyes flashed as the now apprentice aged Funkson literally launched themself at the ex-Promised in a running tackle, claws out. Everyone knew that the Janus killed failed initiates... and it seemed that brother or not, the young cat just couldn't wait, could they? They tore into whatever they could find... which in this case, mostly meant violently chewing on one of their older brother's legs. Uhh, not to most effective maybe, but maybe this wasn't the type to question the young Janus' methods.
Nikkohydrangea yawned and gave an annoyed look to Littlestar before watching as Funkson chomped onto Bloodyrondo. Littlestar had given him more emotion when he was set to die by the Janus than she did to Bloodyrondo, which meant this was all staged, she wasn't that cold. Although he didn't think she played the manipulative mind games of an 8 moon apprentice staging things all for the sake of teaching someone a lesson? Maybe it was just his violent head, but there was far easier ways of going about that.
"Hey do you want like... Help?" Nikkohydrangea asked Bloodyrondo.
Funkson, though young, seemed a touch too capable of chewing their half-sibling's leg off, all four other limbs gripping onto the leg with all the force they could muster as they felt the blood in their mouth. One point for spirit, I guess?
Foxbane, of course, knew that Oakshade would be just fine. She had known that from the start, after all. Tinymutiny, however, still seemed in shock by the whole ordeal, so the Senator literally picked up her daughter by the scruff and yeeted her right at the new warrior with as much force as she could muster. In her opinion, it was a pretty good throw. "Now kiss." She muttered under her breath as she sat down to watch with an expression somewhere between extreme smugness and amusement.
Satinlights' heart sank into her stomach as she watched the former priest promised's sunflower turned black. Cold dread washed over her as she watched the young Janys run to attack their brother. She wasn't too worried about Funkson actually hurting him but, the ramifications of the situation was much worse. As a newly appointed Janus she too would be forced to to attack him. Still not fully healed from her wounds that Lionpride had inflicted on her she couldn't even if she wanted to. "No!" She cried out. It felt like her heart was in her throat and would beat right out of her if she didn't calm down. "Mom please!" She begged turning to face her leader, tears welling up in her blue eyes.
The words caught in her throat unable to quite finish the words she had been speaking as the young Janus rushed out from the crowd to attack IdiotBrother and her daughter was crying and begging for her to stop this madness... She had managed to hold it together thus far, but as her eyes landed on her daughter's face, a single tear slid down her cheek. She lept down beside of her pulling her in close, tail folding over her eyes "You don't need to watch this, it's about to get ugly... It's going to be ok, It's going to be ok" she tried to soothe tipping her head upwards to the sky uttering something incoherent
Roble gasped as the flowers erupted into flames and immediately put himself in front of Meadow, singing a few whiskers when he did so. The tom had no idea what the flowers were going to be used for and and also never seen a flame in person. Lapis's alone had freaked him out but his and Mapledawn's were like twin infernos. Could you blame him for the overreaction? As the flames died away, and he became more aware of the judgmental eyes on his fur, he smoothed down his pelt and gave a nervous laugh before accepting his name and backing away slowly. Oakshade did not so much as glance at Bloodyrondo before turning his gaze to the crown, trying to find Tinymunity. He had only just began to start looking for her when he felt the pressure of another cat on his side and turned to see the cute little silver she-cat. "Oh, hi there." He grinned, leaning forward and touching his nose to hers, "Does this mean I'm allowed to take ask you on a date now?"

A short end. A quick death. He wondered how Vampmyers felt. Not that he should be worried. Cause Draculad knew he'd be on the other side with him soon enough. Cause that was the promise, after all.
For the most part, the "appointed" Priest Promised did little of anything. Mostly watch how it all went down with bored and glazed over blue eyes. Everyone knew he didn't care, just watched him with narrowed eyes. He didn't care. They got their punishments as he saw fit. The power was definitely getting him. Now the embers burned the white hairs on his face as everyone's sunflowers lit. Well, except for Vamp's. The true sign of madness in the young tom was not even flinching as he watched the sunflower go black. Just like his would. They were brothers, truly.
"If this is too difficult for you, Littlestar, I can give the order?" Moonlitnocturne still offered, the frenzy of the others not even hitting him. Even Satinlight's cries were quiet, though he knew it was only because of his own internal white noise. He just needed the signal. That was all he tuned in for.

Tinymutiny
SunClan Warrior
The Underestimated
Tinymutiny had been so focused on the newly names Oakshade, that she hadn't even noticed her lurking mother... A big mistakes as it turned out, as she suddenly found herself lifted into the air and thrown at Oakshade, A shrill scream filled the air as she found herself thudding against the hardness of his chest, she lifted her muzzle upwards to apologize only to find a sudden warmth pressed up against hers. She blinked in disbelief, taking a few moments for it to register that it was in fact Oaskshade's nose against hers. She felt the heat rise to her cheeks, embarrassed by the sudden display of affection
She lifted her paw swiftly swatting his muzzle away from her own "Stop it" she looked down at the ground embarrassed before looking up and puffing out her coat "You can ask, but it doesn't mean I'll accept fur-brain. Just because you passed initiation doesn't mean that I'm just going to roll over and accept your proposal. You want to date me, then you'll have to earn it"
"No, Nikko, I've got this." Bloodyrondo literally rolled his eyes as he tried to shake himself free of his younger sibling. He was very familiar with the claws of Foxbane and Funk's litter, for both Contaminatepaw and Discordantpaw had poked and prodded at him since they were kits. It was all fun and games at first but after a few moments of struggling he realized the small cat was actually doing some real damage to his leg. He let out a low warning growl, which was of course ignored, so he proceeded to bite the scruff of Funkson's neck and try to pull the smaller cat off of him. He was fully in denial of what had happened and saw all of this as just another ploy to undermine his character and humiliate him. Well, he'd learned a lot in his short time in DayClan, once of which being that sometimes words really were more deadly than claws.
Successfully pulling Funkson off his leg, at least for the moment, he licked his wound then looked back up to Littlestar, "This is a joke, right? Haha, very funny, I appreciate the creativity. I thought it was funny that you demoted me to an Initiate of all ranks, you must have had this planned from the start!" His voice broke as the ginger tom saw a single tear streak down Littlestar's cheek. Wait, what? No, no, no, Littlestar was cold-hearted as they came but he'd never known her to force a tear. His hackles began to raise as he peered around the assembled Janus's with a new sense of fear. The locket hidden in his neck fur felt icy hot against his skin and he quickly turned his attention to the stupid blackened flower. He hadn't wanted to use magic here, but hey, desperate times. He focused on the flower, begging for brilliant magenta flames, and got... nothing...? What in the world...? His gaze drifted back up to Littlestar, this time with the exact same expression that was on her Satinlight's face.
"Okay, just let me know and I'll join in," Nikkohydrangea said casually easing back into his sitting position before looking at Moonlitnocturne, "How do you think it's going to end?" He asked like he was watching a movie.
Funkson was quick enough to get back at it. Spitting up the blood that had collected in their mouth a moment, the next they were diving under Bloodyrondo and searching for sensitive nerve points to make the tom feel as much pain as possible. Even this young, they knew a few of them from their mother, among others. Less damaging, but the pain would probably make him think otherwise. Well, that was if they could even get a good shot. They were pretty young, after all, though as masochistic and sadistic as they came, and even though the tom was their brother... they clearly did intend to murder him.

Littlestar
SunClan High Priestess
The Peace Keeper
Littlestar muttered something under her breathe, but her lips stopped moving as her eyes caught IdiotBrother's pleading eyes. She wanted to comfort him, offer some sort of support... but there was only one way that he could be saved now and it wasn't within her power. She closed her own eyes, and shook her head once before pulling Satinlights in closer, and guiding her to her feet tail still draped over her shoulders forcing her to look away. She looked over at Moonlitnocturne "Wait until I get her away, she doesn't need to see this" she gently nudged her daughter towards the crest of the hill trying to get her away from the scene
"So approval from your mother and your God isn't enough to win your heart? Wow, you're awfully cruel, I only gave up my entire life for just for one proper date," Oakshade teased helping Tinymunity to her feet, but giving her plenty of space, he was still and would always be a gentleman. His hazel eyes settled on hers directly and he did everything he could to make his own eyes look huge and pleading, like a kit. It was very much unbecoming for him. Didn't fit a tom his size, "Please?"
It was pretty lucky for Funkson that, apparently, their brother's stomach was already primed for the clawing. They could see the injuries, and naturally, dug tiny paws in them, claws ripping through them with hellish glee, a disturbing sort of giggle emanating from the Janus as they did so.
