Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Glowstar looked at Windchaser's pleading eyes and understood fully how she felt. Primal Instinct had always won, for herself winning was boring, but when had Windchaser ever felt a win? She wasn't tired of it because she hadn't experienced it a million times over. Hadn't felt the weight of what victory meant for a clan and what losing in time did to the opponent. Who was she to deprive her or anyone else in DayClan of that. She opened her mouth to speak, but Bloodyrondo spoke first.
"Arranged marriages? Servants? How hypocritical can you all be? Those ranks exist because some cat along the line decided he wanted to raise himself up and put others down."
Fuzzyheart slowly looked to the side, okay so for as much as people felt Glowstar came up with the social classes it was actually him and Peachblush. They one day just started calling people by class names for fun, but it caught on. For as much as Glowstar hated it she accepted it a part of the culture because majority of the clan wanted it. He never even considered it would be wrong, especially since the higher the class the more friendly the cat was. When him and Peachblush came up with the idea it was in theory that if he had a social class system like this earlier on he would have tried to become a better person.
Lilacpaw shifted uncomfortably, personally she liked the way that the guy talked. But everyone always told her she had wrong opinions and told her to be better to others. So if that was the case she should do the opposite and not trust him. She looked at Buttercuppaw and Mysterypaw and suddenly she could feel resentment in her. Maybe if there was a new way of life there would be a chance for her and Mysterypaw and Buttercuppaw to come out on top. But she knew if she kept her way of life as is she would wind up a Maverick for sure. She needed to take a chance. "I support you!" Lilacpaw called out to the tom, "What should we call you?"
Glowstar was proud of Windchaser, but the feeling was fleeting the moment she noticed Fia's eyes. Glowstar's head turned to Bloodyrondo and her own eyes darkened in rage, "Control yourself or I will."
Her head then turned back to Fia, "Fia darling, it's not polite to throw rocks at cats. Any rock head can have a strong paw, not every cat has a good enough voice," Glowstar encouraged in a loving tone. "Anyways even if I was a fool and if my clan wanted a different leader they have spoken enough about you. They don't want this and clearly want to fight you and since I'm so not in control, there's not really much I can do about that. So you have two options, you can run along or start playing nice. We've kind of been through this before with Bluejay and Pandora, I think we can handle you."
She stood beside Windchaser and smiled at him before looking back at Bloodyrondo. "But before you go please return Fia's sight."
Windchaser felt the rock hit her head and she turned a glare on Fia before turning back to Bloodyrondo, or rather the Sun God. "Glowstar is right. You are to leave Dayclan alone. You have lost. This is over." Windchaswe's voice was still strong and her body showed all the confidence needed. Her and Glowstar sure looked powerful standing together as one.
Buttercuppaw was amazed that her mother had so bravely stood up for Dayclan and Glowstar. Like always, Windchaser had followed her heart and stood up for what she felt was the right thing. Buttercuppaw hoped she would always trust herself the way her mother did. Unfortunately, Buttercuppaw's pride for her mother didnt last long when she heard her own sister, flesh and blood, support the Sun God. The ginger and white apprentice's blood turned to ice. How could she? Buttercup's eyes widened as she stared in disbelief at Lilacpaw, her jaw gaped open. "Lilacpaw! What are you doin'?" She exclaimed in the most hushed voice as she could.
"We don't want whatever he can offer, Lilacpaw. No matter what, it's not worth it." Laughingpaw's own voice sounded strange as he pulled up beside the trio. There was a cautionary, protective undercurrent. His expression was neutral, though he was certain his fellow apprentices would note the slight tension in his body. He was a living show of the cruelty SunClan cats could inflict. A living memory of Foxbane's leadership. Blind in one eye, missing most of one limb, and half a tail almost since birth. It was understandable that he'd take a stand against this. He wouldn't force her to think one way or other though, even if it would disappoint him to see her continue to support the beliefs that had led to his own state, he would never hate her for it.
Fia could hear Glowstar's voice, and her ears twitch as her head turned to the leader's voice. Her eyes were large, the pupil far too wide and unfocused, though her expression was more amused than worried. "Not my fault he has a very hittable face. Diplomacy and politeness have never been my strong suit, you know that." The she-cat shrugged.

Pomepaw dodged a stray rock just in the nick of time, his eyes wide with shock as it whirled past his ear. He let out a sigh of relief before hopping out of the line of fire and making his way towards the other apprentices. "So much for peace, huh?" He meowed awkwardly to the others, fully aware they were probably too absorbed with Lilacpaw's shocking statement to hear his ill-timed awkward joke.
Penguinpond let out a gasp as the apprentice spoke. "S-surely she's j-joking!" He exclaimed nervously.
"Really Lilacpaw?" Mysterypaw said with a sigh shaking her head at the other she cat. Not understanding why in the name of StarClan the she cat wanted to throw her lot in with this crazy tom. "I might not love the ranks, but they've taught me hard lessons. Taught me to think a lot better," She meowed recalling as she'd had to wrack her brain to try and convince Leucisticcrow and Wanderingwight to not throw Buttercuppaw and Lilacpaw over a cliff. They were opponents she hadn't a prayer of besting, and as a result had had to try and be smarter.
Well that and it taught her that though things sucked at the bottom, it was survivable. As long as she had Laughingpaw and Buttercuppaw.
Rubyflame stepped up to stand beside Windchaser and Glowstar, narrowing her eyes. "Considering how the Sun God works, you can leave, or we could... take you out, kill you, and take you back to the border as an offering in turn to the Sun God to leave us alone. Now how's that sound?" The she cat asked darkly.
Knightpaw cast a worried glance at his mother. The look on her face was more murderous than he'd ever seen it. Clearly she like Windchaser was hitting the end of her rope with the Sun God. To the point where she was ready to try and play the Sun God's game to make him leave them alone. Normally his mother was the peak of pleasantness but after an apocalypse and all the other chaos SunClan had caused it was clear she was just done.
Peachblush stood at Fuzzyheart’s side, staying silent except for the odd murmur of agreement, or low growl of dissent. The things this cat had said about DayClan’s class system were untrue, but if he were to really dig deep, he couldn’t say they were entirely baseless. The idea had came to the two of them through mere jokes about their Clanmates—nothing cruel or harmful, but perhaps a little off-colour. The system had stuck, on the basis that it encouraged good behaviour throughout the Clan. That was how the two of them had argued for it, anyway.
Was that really the entire reason? spoke a quiet, treacherous voice in his mind. Did you want to raise up a Clan you’d once seen enslaved, or did you want to impose your own morality onto a Clan of strangers, resting on a pedestal higher than theirs?
It didn’t matter. There were bigger threats to his new home than his own faults.
Faults like his reluctance to speak up on important matters, for instance. He had nothing to say to the crowd, but he did have something to say to his mate. “I don’t care what happens, we are not leaving a third Clan,” he growled, voice low and deep in Fuzzyheart’s ear. It wasn’t like him, but it hadn’t exactly been a typical day.
(The power of the immortal council members is giving me chills XD)
Windchaser gave a sideways look at Rubyflame. She wasn't quite surprised at her fellow immortal council member's comment but it did catch her a bit off guard. She would hate to be on Rubyflame's bad side. Her gaze traveled back to the intruder. "So? What will it be?"
Buttercuppaw nodded in agreement to Mysterypaw. The two of them had grown closer since the new social class got put into order. Buttercup liked to think that the friendship she built with Mysterypaw wouldn't have truly happened if it weren't for the social class. Each of them were put into different classes and unfortunately, Buttercup was above Mysterypaw. The ginger and white apprentice knew that the class was only temporary and knew that they were all equal aside from the classes. It was sad that her sister didn't see it that way but that was why her and Mysterypaw had grown so close. She showed Mysterypaw that even though they were in separate classes, neither one of them were better than the other.
Bloodyrondo had to admit that he had underestimated the loyalty of the cats of DayClan to their incompetent leader. He had assumed that because of its loose, free-for-all rules, the cats here would lack any real structure. Even though he had picked at that ranking system earlier, it seemed to be some sort of self governing system. What he had thought to be a weakness was actually strength. Was this a democracy or something? And he had thought Glowstar was an anarchist. No matter, he wasn't here to change how they balanced their power, not really. It was the least of his concerns in the grand scheme of things. The tree still blazed behind him and, although he himself had created those false flames, he felt renewed by their presence, like it was a nod from the Sun God that he was doing a good job. That's right, he was here to turn the soul's of DayClan to the Sun God. All the rest would fall into place if he could just do that. When he heard Lilacpaw call out to him in support, he fluffed out his chest a bit, proud that at least one cat had heard his message. It gave him confidence that this wasn't a lost cause.
"I am Everlasingfire and I am not going anywhere. Not until I judge Glowstar to be a fit and proper High Priestess." Bloodyrondo, err, Everlastingfire finally declared. To everyone's surprise, he actually did listen to Glowstar and stepped away from the Wisteria tree. The "flames" immediately died down and faded back into nothingness, leaving the tree itself wholly unscathed and as beautiful as it always was. Fia's sight returned to her as well. Everlastingfire was a little less impressive without the light show at his back but there were still sparks flitting around him to accent his words, "I'm not going to attack you or enslave you, I am going to educate you in the ways of the Sun God so you can join me in the warmth of his light." He winked at Lilacpaw, hoping she would swoon, it wasn't cheating on Satinpaw when he wasn't Bloodyrondo. Next he turned his attention to Rubyflame, "Really, now? You think the punishment is befitting of the crime? I haven't harmed a single tuft of fur on any cat's head here, yet I've been pelted with rocks and had my life threatened in the first fifteen minutes of my arrival. So much for open borders... All I did was say the truth that you all didn't want to hear."
"The truth?" Windchaser repeated, a confused expression crossing briefly across her face. "The truth is, you messed with the wrong clan." Then, a relaxed smirk replaced her stern expression. "How about a deal? You like deals, don't you? I am so confident that Dayclan is every bit as powerful as I claim they are without you, that I am willing to allow you to stay one moon to try and convince Dayclan to follow your religion. If you manage to persuade them, Dayclan will result to the Sun God religion. If you fail, you are to leave Dayclan territory and never return. You will no longer be welcomed here and are to leave Dayclan alone." She turned and faced the Dayclan cats, scanning the camp so that her gaze met everyone's. "Does that sound like an appropriate deal to you, Dayclan?"
"Does it mean I get to throw more rocks at him?" Fia Cendrillon, naturally, had to ask it. Especially seeing as, the moment she had her vision back, she was hefting a rock, and now currently trying to teach little Lovekit how to throw it right for Everlastingfire, though the throws really didn't get anywhere close.
Naturally, Fia then set down her rock. Only to pick up a slightly smaller, round stone and hurled it at Windchaser, hitting her in the shoulder. "Killjoy."
Windchaser narrowed her eyes and let out a low, frustrated growl but did nothing as much as she wanted to throw the rock back. They had important decisions to make. She couldn't allow herself to participate in such a childish act.
Glowstar nodded along quickly with Everlastingfire when he commented if the punishment fit the crime, "I know, they're so scary today," Glowstar laughed nervously, but a smile, more dangerous than the night wrung around her lips, "And I like it."
Her head turned to Windchaser and grin only widened in that addictive contagious way, "Windchaser," She purred, rocking her friend side to side, "That is such a daring dare, I love it! All of you are just rocking it today, I can feel the team spirit. That magic of friendship in the air. Simply amazing, Everlastingfire, has already brought us all closer together as a family." Glowstar winced as Fia threw another rock at Windchaser, "Yup, closer as a family, no take backs."
Fuzzyheart glanced at Peachblush and then back at Windchaser, "Uh, I'm not really sure if we should bet on our clan, like that didn't work too well for Reneg-"
"I think that sound absolutely fair," Lilacpaw agreed with a melted doe eyed expression, after all her eyes were still pinned on Everlastingfire. Alvah Faris also nodded, but was probably just nodding along because he was bored and wanted this to end or genuinely was curious on how this would all work out.
"Alright then, so in the mean time, Windchaser, you've done such a gorgeous job, I'm going to leave you in charge, but how about we celebrate our peaceful days with a bit of a feast while I "talk" to Everlastingfire over here," Glowstar said before signalling with a tilt of her head for the tom to follow her.
"Oh let her pelt the tom with rocks, I mean she could be doing so much worse. Better to let her let out those negative emotions," Rubyflame said flicking her tail dismissively. "Besides he wants to experience DayClan's laissez-faire ways well that's one of the ways we are." She said.
"And yes, considering that might be enough to get the Sun God off our backs? And he might even take it, I'd do it in a heartbeat, that's how done I am with you lot who keep coming and trying to convert us." Rubyflame said refocusing on Bloodyrondo or whatever his name really was. "But you're in luck since Windchaser and Glowstar opted to go that route. So don't you worry your little head about losing it just yet," She said, wondering if that was a good threat or not.
Windchaser, you've done such a gorgeous job, I'm going to leave you in charge Glowstar's words rang in her mind. She didn't want to be in charge while Glowstar was perfectly capable of it. Unless, Glowstar was just getting back at her for stepping on her toes. Instantly, Windchaser's cheeks warmed in embarrassment. She had taken Glowstar's spotlight without that being her intentions. However, it felt good to have Glowstar's approval on her decision to let the intruder stay to prove himself. She could only hope her plan would work. "We will feast but first, Everlastingfire, do you agree to this deal?" She turned her sharp dagger eyes onto the intruder while playing a casual smirk as she waited for his response.
Everlastingfire did not really intend to honor his side of the deal but, hey, it was a great opportunity to get his foot int the door, and a moon was plenty of time to convert an entire Clan. Surely they would all be begging him to stay after thirty days had passed anyway. So, he nodded, his silky long fur reflecting the magenta sparks the filled the air around him, a stunning waterfall of red-and-white. Even Everlastingfire recognized that the fanfare was kind of unnecessary at this point but he though the color really complimented his new appearance. Oh, and he didn't want DayClan to forget for one second that he could set that fire loose at any time.
"You have a deal, my friend." He replied with an added inflection on the word friend, almost like it was a taunt, a dare, "You will see soon enough what it really means to have divine protection from the Sun God. Your greatest enemy right now is yourself," Everlastingfire then turned his gaze to Glowstar and saw her beckoning him. He nodded his head slightly to Windchaser, just like how he had done when he had first approached Glowstar, then followed after the DayClan leader with his tail and head held high. That hadn't gone... perfect... but it had ended as gracefully as he could have hoped. No one was hurt, no one was suspicious of his true identity and, most importantly, no one had realized that his powers were little more than illusions.
