Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"DayClan doesn't have the Sun God looking out for it... yet, anyway. I have faith that he will give you and your kits relief during a SunClan summer," Bloodyrondo replied, honestly a little shocked that any cat could be so fluffy that the heat of summer could kill it. Looking at Kissy, though, he guessed it was possible. Bloodyrondo himself was a long-haired cat but he didn't suffer too greatly in the summer heat. His pelt wasn't near as thick as even Sparrowflight's so it was not a fair comparison, though, "That's a story I've never heard. Glowstar stole your kits? How? Why?"
"Oh, please tell it, Mistyrose! I wanna know too!" Kissy purred and began licking her mother's flank. She had heard this story many times, of course, but she couldn't recall it now. Perhaps more alarming than her poor memory was how her evergreen eyes shined at the prospect of a story that ended with the death of innocent kittens. It was unnerving but, then again, so was the whole dang family.
"It was when I was a prisoner in WinterClan, Goldenstar and I knew each other well because he would ensure the clan would take good care of me while I was pregnant or nursing. But when the kits were old enough to no longer need milk or there was another queen available they would take my kits away to be raised as WinterClan warriors. Which for the record I prefer, I love this phase," Mistyrose smiled gently tickling the nose of Wolfkit, "While they're young and need me, but when they start talking and biting I was always completely alright with them being taken to be raised in camp, there was nothing sad about it. However one of my litters was being cared for by a queen in camp when a few rogue members of DayClan and WinterClan stole them believing in a vision that they were destined to serve StarClan or something. Anyways Glowstar is confronted by Goldenstar and WinterClan tried to raid DayClan's camp to get the kits back, but they were fought off. Later it was admitted that the kits died from the heat. It was very sad news for me, I can handle stillborns or miscarriages because it's a part of nature, but idiots are something unnatural. And that's why we moved to SunClan, Kissy, because WinterClan was full of rock headed fools," Mistyrose scoffed.
Although she said it was sad news for her she didn't look the least bit sad. The way she stared down at her current litter was loving though, she likely couldn't feel negative when staring down at them.
"It's alright though, I'm certain those who stole them have died, but the one cat I want to murder is Innocentia and also the... Ones that will not be named, but they're slowly dying anyways."
Wolfkit made a little howling noise as his mother tickled his nose. It wasn't much of a stretch to figure out how that one got his name.
"Those poor kittens!" Kissy cooed, resting her head against Mistyrose's flank, giving her half of a hug, "I'm happy you came to SunClan, everyone here is so much more friendly than in WinterClan. Although I gotta say I'm not a big fan of the tunnels."
"That's awful, Mistyrose, I'm sorry." Bloodyrondo did not really know how to respond to the story so he said the same usual blanket apology anyone else would give in this situation. He knew of this DayClan-WinterClan war but hadn't realized that the kits in question had died much less that they belonged to Mistyrose. At least the ex-medicine cat seemed to be unphased by it at this point, she had a sort of coldness toward her kits that he could not fathom, but it seemed to work for their family. Aside from the whole not wanting to raise her own kits part, she seemed to be a good mother, especially with how she tolerated Kissy laying all over her like that, "These ones will have a much happier fate, I am sure of it. Has Nikkohydrangea been through to see them yet? I tried to find him before I came over but he most be off with Shadowbard right now."
