Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Satinpaw skidded to a halt, breathing hard from the adrenaline that coursed through her veins. It took her only seconds for her to catch her breath enough to speak. "One so far, but.. We need you. Mom sent for you." She didn't have the heart to tell her big brother something was wrong. This was supposed to be one of the happiest days of his and Aconite's life. "We need to hurry." She added quickly and turned and bolted back to camp not giving the warrior a chance to respond.
She was feeling numb from ear to tail, though she couldn't tell if that was the shock or the bleeding. How had everything become so grim so suddenly? She shook her head fractionally, stubborn because they had fought so hard to get here and she couldn't give up now. After everything, this was supposed to be their reward, their moment of triumph, when they started a new family.
But something wasn't right.
Those words kept echoing in her head, and she wondered if she had been wrong to send her mate away. Wouldn't she rather have his support now? But there was a stinging in her heart and she knew otherwise; she couldn't bear to see his face now, it would break her heart and she needed all the strength she had.
Aconite had laid down her head to think, but she was unresponsive to the leader, slipping away without her realizing it. Her thoughts muddled together like in sleep, but she was growing stiller and the world bled away into nothing around her.
A single tear slid down Littlestar's cheek as she felt the she-cat's heart begin to slow, slower and slower until it came to stop. Her sides stopped rising, remaining still and stagnant as the surface of a pond. She lifted her paw, gently closing the she-cat's eyes. The only sound the loud squeaks of the newborn kit trying to find their mother.
Though she had never been overly fond of Aconite, the she-cat was still her son's mate... the mother of her first grandchild. She had passed bringing the generation of SunClan cats into this world, and their was little doubt in her mind that she had loved Lionpride just as much as he had loved her. She had lost the battle to save the queen's life, but the real war was about to begin.
Littlestar gently turned the body onto it's back, pressing her paws down firmly around the she-cat stomach feeling for any movement that might indicate if any kits were alive. She searched soon finding what she was looking for, as the skin under her paw rippled. It was a long shot, but if she could get them out now they still stood a shot at living. If she waited... There was no hope.
She sliced into the she-cats stomach, blood rushing out of her abdomen. She reached inside pulling out the kit closest to the exit, then the next. As she lifted it from the queen, a piercing wail filled the air. The leader turned to face the arrival of Lionpride and Satinpaw the kit still clasped in her jaws, blood dripping down from her chin onto her chest and pooling at her paws.
Satinpaw thought she had feared the worst on their run back to camp, but some how the reality of it had blew all of her worst thoughts out of the water. Of all the things she had been expecting this was definitely not one of the. The little she cat swayed slightly at the sight of her mother, covered in Aconite's blood, holding the squirming kit in her jaws. She has seen blood of course, that was nothing new to her but, the sheer amount of it now was something she was unaccustomed to. The stench of it wasn't helping either. Satinpaw blinked, the den seemed to stretch out in front of her, looking farther and farther away. Her head felt light and her stomach strangely hollow. She was completely empty and felt as though a light breeze could of easily done her in right now. Wait? Did someone scream? She turned her head, the small movement taking more thought than it should, to see her brother's grief stricken expression, he was standing a whisker's length away from her but he sounded like he was across the camp.
The heart-melting wail filled the air as Lionpride's gaze fell upon the scene in the nursery. His blood covered mother holding one of his kits in her jaws, his mate sliced open, her insides spilling out. He stood there in completer and utter shock, not able to get a clear grasp on what had happened. All he could see was blood...so much blood... He stumbled forward, his paws not wanting to obey his command his eyes not looking away from Aconite as he slowly approached his head and tail low, ears folded back against his head his heart breaking more with every step as the reality of her death began to sink in..
He nuzzled her cheek gently as if trying to rouse her from a nap, as the she-cats head fell back limply "please" he whimpered, nuzzling her other cheek a tear falling onto her nose "Aconite...." he whispered falling silent and still, his golden eyes glowing in the low light
Suddenly, it was like a switch had been flipped. He lashed out suddenly not giving Littlestar a chance to defend herself going for her throat, having one of the newborns in her jaws and another at her feet all she could do was drop the kit and allow him to plow over her to keep them safe as she felt fangs sink into her exposed throat and her head was slammed hard against the ground as the High Priestess stopped moving
She was frozen in place, unable to move or speak, all she could do was follow her brother's movements with her eyes. It was heart wrenching to watch the display but, even a part of her had hoped that some how the queen would wake up to the sound of her mate's voice even though she knew she wouldn't. It wasn't until Lionpride lunged for their mother that Satinpaw seemed to reanimate. All at once she regained her ability to move as the sudden burst of adrenaline cut through the fog of her shock.
"HEY STOP!" she screamed running forward, and leaping on her brother's back. Blinded by sudden fear, time seemed to slow around her, as she desperately sunk her teeth into the large cat's scruff, praying that Lionpride would at least release their mother. She didn't want to hurt him buck she had no choice to dig her claws into him so she wouldn't fall off. Of all the things she had expected to happen today, this was definitely not it. "QUICK! SOMEONE HELP!" she shouted in panic. No matter how hard she tried, she knew she wouldn't be able to take on Lionpride herself.

The Loveable
The body below him went limp, as a weight fell upon his shoulder but he paid it now mind. The target had been taken down, as he lifted his muzzle to the sky yowling in rage and grief. The shriek terrifying enough to make the hair on even the bravest warrior's spines. It was the sound of a cat who had nothing left to loose, a cat so far out of their mind that no one in their path was safe. His large paw slammed into a rock, flinging it through the air with a force strong enough to cause some damage to whomever it his as the queens in the nursery scramble to evacuate their kits to safety
The movement caught his eye spinning round, claws flashing through the air slinging his sister to the ground. He stalked forward lips curled upwards in a snarl, blood dripping from his fangs as he placed a heavy paw on Satinpaw's chest his claws sliding into her flesh of her exposed underbelly as easily as if she had been nothing more than a piece of fresh kill. His claws raked from her ribs digging deep down the she-cats stomach reaching for whatever organs he could he reach
It was amazing, really, just how deeply Kissy could sleep. The Initiate was perhaps the only cat in the nursery that had not yet woken up to the mayhem that was Aconite's kitting. In fact, it wasn't even Satinpaw's screams that woke her, no, it was Toots's foot in her face.
"Do something!" Her sister hissed and finally Kissy joined the waking world with a HUH?!
Her evergreen eyes blinked as they adjusted to the low lighting in the nursery and she gasped at the scene before her. Aconite, whom she regarded as a friend (she regarded most everyone as a friend) lay bloodied and presumably dead on the ground, Littlestar was knocked out and Lionpride was on a rampage with little Satinpaw doing everything she could to fend him off. She got to her paws immediately and booked it toward the conflict without a second thought. Somehow she had pieced together all that was happening along with the names and relations of all cats involved. Remember, this is the she-cat that couldn't tell you what she ate for breakfast when it was still breakfast time. She was such a mixed bag but at least in this instance it worked in everyone's favor.
The massive caramel cream tabby was not all that fast but she packed a lot of power, which Lionpride surely felt when she body slammed him the ground an entire foxlength away from Satinpaw. The two cats were about the same size but Kissy had the element of surprise, so it gave her enough edge to pin him down, if only for the moment, "Lionpride! Get ahold of yourself! You know your mom would never do something like this. She must of had to do it, to ... you know... help!"

He slashed out with his other paw, but only hit air when he found himself being forced to the ground by the sudden heavy weight upon his back end. He twisted his front half aiming for what ever he could reach forgetting his former target entirely in favor of this new threat. He wasn't in a sane frame of mind, her words falling on deaf ears as he suddenly surged upwards to knock her off of him when he got his powerful back legs back underneath him.
Lionpride saw nothing but blood, as he lunged for the closest part of kissy within his reach
Lionpride's claws raked across Kissy's upper right arm and crimson splotches began to form on her thick gauze-lick fur. She whimpered a little bit when she was wounded but otherwise seemed unfazed. She had nothing on her sister Toots, of course, but Kissy's pain tolerance was on the higher end of the spectrum. She'd been the subject of numerous drug tests at her mother's paws, some of which left her bed-ridden an in excruciating pain for days on end, and, while she still felt every bit of it, she knew better than to let it dominate her. Luckily pain was just about the easiest feeling to forget, at least when it was physical, and Kissy was great at forgetting.
Kissy took a step away from Lionpride and nearly slipped in a pool of Aconite's blood. Up close now she could tell that the light-furred Queen was no longer living and it tore her heart in two to see her mate taking this so badly. Fighting wasn't going to help, though, and Kissy decided to do what she did best. She charged straight at Lionpride except this time with her chest and neck wide open. She didn't realize how big of a gamble this was, but it was hard to give hugs if you kept your vitals guarded, it sort of defeated the purpose. Her thick neck-fur would afford some protection, right? No matter, she went in for the 'kill' now, and forced her entire weight upon Lionpride. She wrapped her arms around him in a tight embrace. Her fur was so, so soft, and extra cushiony, like a cloud. A great comfort. She forced out some thunderous healing purrs and nuzzled her head right up against his, "Shh, it'll be okay, angry kitty, shh."
Satinpaw let out a strangled, terrified cry, that turned to agony as her brother raked his claws through the soft flesh of her underbelly. She squirmed and panicked underneath her, frantically clawing at his front legs with all her might trying to get him to let go. Even drawing blood didn't feel like it would be enough to get him off her. She was just too small. Still she was still too stubborn to admit that dying right here, right now at the paws of her own brother was a very real possibility. Until suddenly it wasn't. She felt the weight of her brother leave her, and suddenly the air rush back into her lungs. She let out a gasp of both shock and relief, quickly she rolled over onto her paws, blood dripping from her stomach staining the nursery floor scarlet, not that anyone would ever be able to tell whose blood was who's after all was said and done. For a brief moment the apprentice considered bolting, then she remember her mother and the kits. Rushing over to where Littlestar laid unconscious she nose her mother. trying to wake her, and also using herself as a barrier between Lionpride and his helpless kits. "Mom, Mom please wake up."

Lionpride's screams slowly began to fade, his thrashing becoming weaker and weaker until he slumped limply onto Kissy's chest and into her embrace as the last of his fight left his body and the paralytics kicked in. He laid limply against her, kissy's fur still filling his mouth and her fur between his claws
Mountainsound wasn't usually the type to go straight for sedatives and paralytics. That was Foxbane or Littlestar territory. But the moment she heard of the commotion, the blind and pregnant Senator moved just about as fast as she was able to grab the herbs she needed, coating her claws and rushing into the den, just in time, so it seemed. Blood, invading her nose. It was pretty easy to take a guess as to what had happened, in the most basic sense, though the ex-medicine cat didn't even really put the mental stock in that as she carefully picked out the tom's scent, lunging and digging her claws into what she was relatively certain was his flesh. Anything to get him to stop.
A fresh wave of panic overcame the injured apprentice when Littlestar didn't stir. She was shaking, from adrenaline or shock she just didn't know anymore. Something had to be done and fast. She looked around quickly, spotting the cobwebs that her mother had brought with them to aid in Aconite's kitting, that now felt like hours had gone by instead of minutes. She had seen Littlestar use them to stop Aconite's bleeding as best she could. Taking a deep breath she steadied herself. Quickly applying cobwebs to the high priestess' throat and them pressing another wad to her head were it had struck the ground. She didn't even remember moving her mother to do so but some how she had. Ever mindful of the kits she stretched out so that she was laying on one side of them and Littlestar on the other, the kits safely nestled between them to keep warm, while still applying pressure to the older she-cat's head-wound.
Kissy struggled to hold Lionpride still and was honestly surprised at the amount of resistance she was receiving. She was used to smaller prey, of course, so his size must be the reason why. Probably. She felt his claws dig deep into her chest but she leaned into them, trying as she could to hold him still while the queens evacuated, gritting her teeth together. In her pain her claws unintentionally slipped out and burrowed themselves into the back of Lionpride's shoulders. Hey, at least it kept him still. "Poor baby..." She said through purrs as she began to groom the top of his head. It seemed Kissy had bit her tongue at some point so her strokes left little pink stripes against his silvery fur, "It's okay, let it all out..."
