Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Wintrystar was only named such as a security reason. Not because she had her nine lives, no the dead cats hadn't shown up when she'd appeared to receive them. But she'd come back with a different name nonetheless least another clan think them weak without someone possessing the leadership title that came with being granted -star to their name. Anxiety and fear had corsed through her since then. She'd talked with Earlybloom many times about any signs from above, any reasoning as to why StarClan had not shown on that night. Was she not worthy? Had she disappointed them? Or..
Or had they really forsaken the clan hidden away in the snowy mountain?
What did she tell her clan? That the ones they had believed in all their lives had abandoned them? No, not without proof, without a reason. Or a solution. Anything. Wintrystar knew she had to find out what had happened. Why StarClan would not respond to them and if they had done wrong in their eyes. If not, her clanmates would surely turn on her, especially when they realized she'd taken the leadership role without receiving her lives.
Gazing out at the starry sky, searching for answers, she heard another cat approach. The wind ruffled her fur as she gazed out, not bothering to look back. She knew who it was. Better who all it was. Her staff had arrived, a meeting to find answers was under way.

"Stop thinking about it," Earlybloom meowed, padding up to her leader first, voice low and soothing. "I know you're worrying about StarClan." The gray and white cat was usually quiet and reserved, but had grown bold with Wintrystar and Stormyblizzard. They were leading a clan, helped by her and Chestnutpaw, so she felt they deserved her honesty. The Witch sat beside Wintrystar, gazing out as well and sighing heavily, "these are troubling times, but we'll figure it out. Together."
"Chestnutpaw will be along soon," Earlybloom added after a moment of silence, "and when Stormyblizzard arrives we can figure everything out and move on."
Chestnutpaw trailed in shortly after Earlybloom's words, uncharacteristically quiet as she entered the den. Despite her mentor's reassurance, Chestnutpaw knew something was wrong. She felt the deep guilt in even feeling her concerns. Everything she was raised in taught her to place her faith in her belief in Starclan, but in the recent events, Starclan was absent and the absence of her faith scared her enough for a sliver of doubt to creep into the young Pupil's mind.
The speckled she-cat sat at her mentor's side, bowing her head respectfully Wintrystar, but no words came out. She was just looking for answers and she hoped the meeting today would provide that to her and give her that peace of mind that everything was going to be okay.
Wintrystar nodded, still feeling the weight of the mountains on her shoulders. They needed answers and soon, or the clan would surely riot. Her gaze searched for Stormyblizzard, hoping the other she-cat would arrive shortly so they could begin this meeting. It wasn't one anyone wanted to worry about, to ask, or even compliant, but they need to find out why StarClan would not speak to them any longer and what they were to do about it.

Earlybloom felt as though she had as much weight on her shoulders as Wintrystar did. Despite her own secrets, she kept one for Wintrystar, she had to remain composed during this trying time, and she needed to keep Chestnutpaw calm as well. Earlybloom had a past that meant StarClan was a concept foreign to her. The loss of them felt like nothing to her, but her pupil would most likely feel the loss heavily. And Wintrystar too. The entire clan felt ruffled, watchful. The atmosphere was stifling.
They hadn't been in the snow too long, or so he had thought. He hated to admit it but climbing the mountain had been harder than he had anticipated. Despite his long fur the white-and-black tom wasn't use to the cold. A huge mistake on his part, he should of anticipated the climate change, and the effects it would have on him and his followers but, he hadn't and he was suffering for it. Maybe it was his imagination, or maybe it was the altitude but he found it harder to breathe as he continued his trek through the icy territory. His amber eyes were bright with fever as he dragged his tiring paws through the snow. His fur was matted with snow and water, slowing him down further. The last thing he wanted right now was to stop moving but, his sore muscles begged him to. With Each blink it took his eyes longer to open as the exhaustion won out over all else. Until finally he stopped, falling over in the snow unable to go on any longer.
Wintrystar looked around to her group. They had to find an answer to their unheard calls. Their prayers went ignored, not uncommon for StarClan. But refusing to show for a naming wasn't. Was it because Wintrystar wasn't a firm believer in StarClan? Sure, she honored her ancestors, but she didn't care much for the idea of them knowing better than the living. Behind her, the northern lights were visible, bright and practically glowing. They'd drawn her eyes when she'd first taken a seat on the cliffside to await for all her staff to show, and they'd only grown brighter as the sky had darkened. Now it seemed brighter than the stars themselves.
"Tonight, we must decide what we are going to do about StarClan." Part of her wanted to say screw them! They'd forsaken the clan, so why should they still worship the grumpy dead cats? But before she could voice this idea, one she was sure would face controversy, a cat appeared. He was clearly sick and feverish as he stumbled upon their group.
Chestnutpaw could feel herself shift uncomfortably. The idea of forsaking everything she knew, she was raised with scared her to her deepest core. She glanced off to her mentor's searching her comforting and familiar gaze for some inch of her thoughts on the matter, but the distant outline of a different cat caught the Pupil's attention instead. Her ears perked up high and she rose in surprise. Under normal circumstances, the she-cat would have been more weary, but seeing the cat's state of being, her responsibilities kicked in. She stepped forward without thinking, about to approach the stranger...

Earlybloom shot up at the arrival of the strange cat, she noted in a pleased way that Chestnutpaw did the same. But Earlybloom also felt protective and nudged Chestnutpaw gently, reminding her to be mindful of strangers. Earlybloom crept forward until she was sure the cat posed no threat and then examined him in a brisk, business like way. The she-cat didn't speak for a second, giving Chestnutpaw the opportunity for her own examination. The tom was feverish, exhausted, and obviously not well. Earlybloom looked to Wintrystar, not for permission so much as letting her know their conversation would have to wait.
