Sapphiresmoke laid peacefully outside the Story-Tellers den, the bright sun beating against his short silver pelt. It was another average day for the old story-teller, wake up, eat, nap, eat again, nap and a good tongue bath before bed. As mundane as the schedule seemed, it was relaxing and definitely well deserved in the story-tellers mind. Sapphiresmoke was the oldest Story-Teller to date in Springclan. It was a reputation he was quite proud of. It wasn't uncommon for the elder to be asked to tell stories of his youth which he privately enjoyed, but today the camp was rather quite so he didn't expect to be bothered much.

Cypressdreamer padded through Springclans camp, enjoying the light breeze that played along her fur. The young molly paused in the warmth of the sun and stretched her self backwards, letting her front claws dig into the ground slightly. With a sigh she rose back up onto delicate paws and let her vibrant green eyes scan the clearing squinting slightly at the glare from the stream. Her gaze landed on Sapphiresmoke and she paused for a moment before turning towards the pile of fresh-kill and grabbing a plump looking mouse from the top. With quick steps she made her way to the stream leaping over it with ease and heading to the oak hollow that the Story-Teller was resting in front of. Stopping a tail legnth in front of him the dark mottled tabby dipped her head before setting the mouse down, "Greetings Sapphiresmoke, have you eaten yet?" she asked head tilting slightly to one side as she looked at the silvery tom.
At the sound of his name, the Storyteller stirred from his moment of peace, opening up his eyes to reveal bright, sapphire orbs that blinked up at the warrior with slight confusion. "Aah, Cypressdreamer!" He excalined, his voice deep and tried sounding as he slowly sat up, stretching out his back slowly which ached slightly due to age. Despite being used to the aches and growing pains of aging, Sapphiresmoke hated the feeling. "For a moment, your voice reminded me of one of those other apprentices-" He paused, ranking through his mind to find the name that sat tauntingly on the edge of his tongue. After a few long moments of deep thought, the story-teller's eyes widened "Autumnpaw!" He barked proudly, content at the small victory against his poor memory which often beat him in the recollection game. The tiny celebration ended as he caught sight of the rather plump mouse "That must be for me." Sapphiresmoke huffed, looking at the warrior with an expectant look.

A soft smile rested on the warriors lips as she watched the old Story-Tellers eyes flash with recognition, his brilliant blue gaze lighting up. Cypressdreamer waited patiently as the older tom sat up and situated himself, making a mental note to have Fawnheart check him over. The excitement in Sapphiresmoke's voice pulled her back into the present and she felt her whiskers twitching at being compared to an apprentice. "Oh, is that so? I'll make sure to spend some time with them myself!" she mewed brightly. It gave her pause and made the smile on her face grow slightly larger. It was not an uncommon connection for the molly, her care-free behavior often earning her a few stern glares from older warriors. Cypressdreamer never allowed the looks to bother her, she did more than her share of duties and was loyal through and through! A minute nod to her thoughts and she let her aqua gaze focus on the Story-Teller once more, taking in his gaze on the mouse at her paws. "Of course! I made sure to grab the plumpest one I could find!" she said grabbing it to place it at the toms paws before taking a step back to give him room to eat.
Sapphiresmoke scoffed knowingly, a tired grin grew across his face as he bent down slowly, grunting softly until he melted comfortably on his stomach. His sapphire blue gaze took in the mouse with heavy consideration before speaking up "I think you 'otta talk to the apprentices about picking out good fresh kill for us Storytellers." He began his mini vent session, staring back up at the warrior "They've been really unthoughtful in what they bring me and Spiderbranch to eat during our lunch times." He nudged the mouse between his paws with content "This right here is the PRIME example of the kind of prey we Storytellers deserve!"
